I havent been using high street brand skincare for a few years except for a few items here or there and this is one of them.
First off let me say i dont use this solely when i do use it. This is he cleanser i reach for when i have a lot of makeup on to remove the heavy make up on the surface. I then go on to either liz earles cleanse &polish or my decleor milk cleanser to remove everyting properly.
Unlike a lot of washoff cleansers this doesnt leave my skn feeling tight and I like the beads in here as they are spherical and not scratchy.
In the morning I generally use my decleor foaming wash but if i ran out of that one day and didnt have a new one in the cupboard i would be happy to use this for a while until i got a new decleor one.
Ive only purchased this twice with vouchers from Boots.
Ive taken a star off as its not HG and im nt sure about the antiageing effects either.
A good budget face wash nonetheless

I really like this apart from the mixed reviews this cleanser was a plus for me the exfoliating micro beads leave my skin free of impurities and leaves my skin feeling fresh and clear gets rid of blackheads really well to. It says on the tube it helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, improves skin dullness, improves skin smoothness, retains suppleness helps promote renewal of the skins surface to reveal younger looking skin, gently removes makeup and everyday impurities.I would defiantly buy this again along with the daily thermal peel overall very happy with this cleanser I don't however use it as a stand alone but its still a must have for me in my skin care regime.

Just an average, gentle cleanser imo. I still need a seperate remover for mascara but that's pretty common among cleansers. Skin is left feeling clean and soft but not anything spectacular. Maybe sometimes a bit dry feeling. I guess I expected the "Anti-Aging" part of it to do something..... more? I've used it semi-regularly for the past month. I purchased it as a 'free cleanser with purchase of another Olay product' coupon. But, I definately do not have anything negative to report. It has been gentle on my skin and effectively removes makeup.

I bought 50ml trial size in Saigon at SGD 2.10. This tube has beads in it which I love. I love how creamy this cleanser is, which is rare for drug store brand. Since good results with this cleanser, I bought White radiance cream cleanser from supermarket at SGD 3.90. This will be good for travelling. 1 note, both cleansers has BHA in it which helps to clear up some existing pimples I have. I am so happy:):)
17-Feb-2012 (Updated review):-
I prefer this than White radiance cream cleanser. This works well even it is cream base, much better than some foaming cleanser that I had. The BHA and beads help to cleanse and exfoliates my skin. I will buy this again after I am done with the White radiance cream cleanser.

I have dry skin, I live in a dry climate at 6300 Ft and have hard water in the house. Normally, I don't wash my face when I shower just because it makes my face dry and taught. But sometimes after being outside all day I feel the need to actually "wash" my face and found this product to do a good job without making my face feel "squeaky clean". There are no "beads" in this product. It's a cream that does not lather or foam. But it does do a good job of cleaning the skin without over drying. There was only one other product I really liked by Johnson & Johnson that was a foaming face wash that didn't dry my skin. but of course that was discontinued years ago. This Olay cleanser is close to being as good.

Normally I prefer fragrance-free skincare, but I got this for free. It works very well and didn't irritate my skin at all. It has a good lather and makes my face feel squeeky clean without over-drying. It removes my makeup easily. You get a lot of product in the bottle, so it's a good deal. Not sure if it's actually anti-aging or not, but if it is, that's a nice bonus.

This cleanser was "alright." I originally bought it because I was having problems with my other cleanser drying my skin out and a friend recommended it to me (we have similar skin types). After using it for a little over a month now, I haven't really noticed anything significantly better except that it doesn't dry my skin out as much, meaning it still does to a certain degree.
Also, this product didn't really do much in terms of cleansing. I have the citrus-smelling cleanser so the smell helps me wake up in the morning and feel refreshed, but by the time I leave to go to class my skin feels like it's cracking from all the dryness. And when I look in the mirror, sometimes I see flakes on my forehead.
Again though, this isn't the worst thing out there, so I'd recommend it if you have super oily skin, because this will help a lot, but don't try it if your skin is already dry.

I'm surprised that so many reviewers say that this product is moisturizing. I have very dry skin and normally use L'oreal age perfect cleanser which is very creamy. I thought I'd try this product for a change and it has been terrible. I find it extremely drying and it doesn't seem to have any benefit to my skin (not sure how these 7 effects are supposed to be working - feels like false advertising). I want to throw it in the garbage and go back to my L'oreal product, but hate wasting money, as this was a few dollars more than the L'oreal product. I would never buy this product again. If you have uncomfortably dry skin, don't buy this product - it's not worth the money!

I like this product a lot.
I have hormone induced acne breakouts as a part of my fun filled PMS week and this product has eliminated them. I usually have to use something like Proactive but this cleanser does the trick.
My face usually looks fresher when I get out of the shower and I don't find this drying even to my dry zone areas.
It doesn't smell that great and it's a little creamier than I like my cleanser to be but all in all it's been very reliable for me.

To give you a background of my skin, I have very, very dry skin and eczema on my face. My skin is also pretty sensitive. I'm still young so I'm not really quite as concerned about the anti-aging treatment. Okay so I love this cleanser basically. It is the most nourishing and moisturizing cleanser I have used yet. I apply it dry initially meaning I rub a good amount of the cleanser onto my dry face. I massage gently in circular motions for about a minute. I let the cleanser sink into my skin and then rinse and oh my god, my skin feels so plump! Sometimes, I can even skip moisturizing if I get lazy because this cleanser makes it feel like you've already applied cream (but I don't often). It's also very gentle and smells nice! I also really like the packaging. I really recommend this cleanser for those of you with dry, parched skin. This is definitely a pick-me-up and not drying whatsoever. I got my sister hooked on it too and she absolutely loves it.

I just can't help but go back to this product. I like trying on new cleansers but it seems like this one really heeds to my needs.
I have normal oily combination skin and this one is really good for me. I step out of the shower with a clear and moisturized face, without the greasy feeling.
For those who wants to buy this because of its claim to make you look younger, well then don't rely much on that. I don't use this for that purpose because honestly, it's just a good cleanser. If you want anti-aging benefits, that's where the creams and serums come in.
People claim that this does not remove makeup. My take on that, use a pre-cleansing method to take away all the gunk on your face THEN wash your face using this cleanser. I use pond's cold cream prior to using this because this cleanser removes the EXTRA gunk on your face. Also, toner removes the last traces of gunk on your face. So basically, some people don't know what they're saying.
I highly recommend this. WIl definitely keep on repurchasing.

Great cleanser. Takes all my makeup off. Doenst leave my skin feeling tight. The price is right. Very nice, basic all around cleanser. My skin is super sensitive/acne prone for reference
UPDATE**
This is very drying to my skin. Not as much as acne cleansers, but close. It doesnt leave my skin super tight, but it leaves it dry enough that I wont repurchase. I know it is a very effective cleanser, but I wouldnt use it at the cost of dehydration. I still use it when I feel lazy and want to take everything off quick though.

I hope I'm reviewing the right product, as mine does not have microbeads.
I really love this...have been using it for years. My skin gets extremely dry in the winter and then very oily t-zone in the summer. This is an excellent cleanser for both seasons (although I have the witch hazel one for oily skin that I use in the summer sometimes). It makes my skin super soft and gets off all the makeup (I hope!) so I don't use a makeup remover beforehand...I probably should but I dont like too many steps at the end of the day! I find this makes my skin feel very soft and supple.

This cleanser seems to just be okay. I have been using it for about a month now and while I haven't seen any negative effects, I haven't noticed any particularly great results either. The one thing I don't like about it is that I feel like I have to use kind of a lot to get any sort of lather on my face. It's kind of runny and almost feels like I'm just rubbing my face with water. It does have little granules in it that feel like they exfoliate, which I like. Overall, it's okay, but not fantastic.

First thing's first: I am 24 with combination/oily skin (oily on t-zone and normal on cheeks). I also have minor, occasional acne usually just on my forehead area. I bought this product because I had heard that the Olay line is pretty decent, and I wanted something to both 1) help me control my oil and occasional acne, and 2) help me begin preventative anti-aging treatments. In the end, I bought this more for reason #2 as it doesn't really claim any anti-acne benefits.
****************
Here's how (and when) I use this product now: I would start my routine with a Neutrogena bar for acne prone skin, follow that with this Olay product, and finish with either a moisturizing mask on my cheeks or Retinol treatment on my forehead and around my mouth area (for anti-aging). The following pros and cons list of mine, however, are directly derived from the period in which I started using this Olay product with my acne bar (and BEFORE I started using the moisturizer or the Retinol treatment afterward).
********************
PROS: My skin instantly looked radiant and firm after the first use (I used it at night and woke up the next day to a surprisingly firmer, less red face)! In general, my face just felt really, really clean. Additionally, even though the product doesn't claim to be great for acne prone skin (which I have), the appearance of my mild acne was greatly reduced! My acne really dried up and was a lot less red than the day before. My fiance even noticed it the next day before I had even looked in a mirror. After I continued using this product for I guess 3 days, my acne had completely cleared up! I was (and still am) completely shocked. This must have happened due to the combination of my acne bar with this product. Finally, the price isn't bad at all--I got it at Walgreen's for around $7, I think. For that price, this product especially packs a punch!
**********************
CONS: As others have noted, you really have to rinse and re-rinse to completely get the product off of your face. If you rinse once and dry your face, your face will have this sticky, stiff feeling--so be sure to rinse well 2 to 3 times. Also, when you actually use it, the product has this weird feel to it--almost like you are putting slime all over your face, as it tends to keep its form even when you lather it. That's a very, very minor critique though. :)
Finally, I would also caution anyone (even those with oily skin, like me) to consider using moisturizer with this product (even if it's only once every few days or so), as I can see how someone's skin might dry up very easily with this product. This happened around the cheek area for me, so I started applying moisturizer there. I haven't had a problem since, however. :)
*******************
Good luck!

I bought this for my mum and ended up using some on a spa night in before a facial. I'm quite young so I wasn't too fussed about the 'anti-aging' properties, however it left my skin night and soft and with a lovely glow, could've been the facial, but hey, I think I'll continue to use this before my future face masks. Thanks mum.

I really like this cleanser! I have very oily skin and sometimes I break out after the gym or wearing make up for too long. Before I was using the Neutragena redness soothing cleanser in the green tube but it was not leaving my face clean and blemish free. I always thought Olay was a step up from other brands so I decided to try this one. It really cleans off my face after sweating at the gym or removing my make up. and I like that it has the exfoliating beads in it, it helps my make up go on better in the morning and my skin looks really clear. This tube should last me a while, a little of the cleanser definitely goes a long way.

This cleansed really well and I liked that it had anti aging properties. However, it left my skin really dry and I ended up having large, white, dry patches, looked like eczema. After refraining from use and applying hydrocortisone, the dry patches are gone. It may be due to the fragrance which I found really strong.
