After trying a few samples of this and liking it, I popped for the full size. It's a thin clear-ish liquid, not really a serum, but as they say, a "milky essence." It's a nice layer of moisture prior to my sunscreen; a few squirts (about 6-8 drops) from the pump and it spreads and sinks in quickly. The pump bottle works well and although it's expensive, the full size does last quite a while. You only use a small amount each day. It doesn't have much smell, not perfume-y at all.
I don't feel I noticed as much of a difference with continued use as I did with a sample here or there. Maybe my skin just got used to it. I won't repurchase as I'm a bit worried about the silver content. I know that's the whole point of this product, but despite whatever benefits it might have, for myself, I'd rather stay away from the silver.

I have a DHC brochure booklet here next to me and let me de-mystify...
According to what it says, Platinum used in this product is turned into gel through some nanotechnology, Platinum is known to be a very powerful anti-oxidant and can combat 11 currently known free radicals that cause skin aging. Other than the Platinum content, it also has olive leaf extract, which is known as a health supplement with powerful anti-flammatory property. Also it has collagen said to be twice as penetrating than the other collagen in othere skin products.
I'm writing a review as an observer, instead of a user. My cousin started using this 1 month ago recommended by her pals, she had oily skin with large pores and black heads, the skin was a bit rough. She decided to use DHC Platinum Silver Nanocolloid set, get herself ready for her wedding. I attended to her wedding 2 days ago and I went for a facial massage with her in a beauty salon. When I saw her, I instantly noticed something different, What a pleasant surprise! Her bare skin did look significantly brighter, much smoother and no pores! Pores are invisible. Her skin looked very suppled and hydrated and the makeup artist didn't make too much effort to get her skin prepared for makeup. I asked what she had done and she told me about DHC.
Price-wise, she got her set in Taiwan. A olive soap, PSN Lotion (120 ml), PSN Milky Essence (80 ml), PSN cream (45 g) and PSN 5 paper masks, a set of 5 altogether for around 40 USD. PSN Lotion, Essence and Cream are around $15 USD each being sold individually. It seems that DHC products are expensive in US. So I suggest all PSN fans should probably look for a trustworthy ebayer from Taiwan to stock this up.
I don't know if there's any long term health effect for using Platinum as skincare. But do know that Japanese quality control and safety standards on their products are as strict as German's, possibly by far the highest among all countries. I think it shouldn't be too much of a concern.
I'm going to buy a set and try it out myself, will give a personal review later.
UPDATE: 2011/ 12/ 08
This is quite exciting, especially for those with very dry skin. After using this Platinum Silver Nanocolloid Line (lotion, milky essence, cream and masks) for straightly a month, I eventually understand the differences between "moisturizing" and "hydrating". This line of products are very hydrating, it significantly boosts up the water content of your skin, and it's noticeable even after one application. Keeping the skin very suppled, bouncy and truely baby soft. Also seems to brighten the overall complexion a little.
It seems that the difference of the lotion, milky essence and cream is the consistency. Colourless liquid, milky gel and white light cream. This is nearly fragrance-free, with a very faint scent.
If you have very dry and dehydrated skin, and would like to try this one, you can start with the lotion (toner) in conjunction with Decleor Iris Oils and Balms. This combo helps to hydrate the skin first and seal the moisture later.
Really Great stuff!

I had avoided this product for awhile - only getting samples to try now and then. I just thought what could platinum and silver nanocolloids really do anyway for facial skin? I was also concerned that I might react badly - since my fair skin can sometimes be very sensitive. But I finally broke down and bought this during the current sale - and all I can say is "WOW". I use this at night after cleansing my face with mild touch cleansing oil and toning with ascerola lotion (toner) - both by DHC as well. My skin has never looked so good - no breakouts, pores are smaller - my skin is absolutely ethereal. This will be perfect for the hot, humid summer. When winter comes, I may just add a drop of DHC's olive oil to it or splurge for DHC's platinum silver nanocolloid cream. Either way - I could not be more pleased!!

So far I have only tried this product in free samples. If money were not an object I'd definitely buy. I'm not sure what's in this (the name is a bit sci-fi to me), but it feels incredible going on and makes my skin feel much smoother and silkier. However, the description of it seems a little B.S.-ish to me, full of vague terminology. This makes me a bit suspicious that I'm paying $30 for...water...?
Maybe too early for me to review this because I haven't used it for an extended time, but I'm very intrigued by it and will be watching to see if further reviews give it a yea or nay.

I got this thru a swap and have been using it for a week. Prior to this, I has very choatic sleeping hours and my skin was exposed to polluted environment for a few weeks. I had major outbreak of pimples on my forehead and U-zone, followed by scarring and redness from the swelling. Now the minor scars have faded, my skin has stabilised. It does not have much smell [which i like], easy to absorb and not sticky at all. My skin seemed tightened too.

Very lightweight serum-like liquid best used under the platinum cream if you're at all dry. I find using the essence before the cream improves translucency and reduces redness with continued use.

Although I have oily skin, it can get quite dry after washing and I like to use this lotion to relieve the dryness. Very cooling and light!
It works great with mineral foundation too! Back when I don't use a moisturiser on my face, my mineral foundation can get quite flaky on my skin sometimes. So one day, I decided to mix my foundation with this lotion, and it worked really well.
I think DHC products are retailing at ridiculously high price on the US webstite. DHC products are much cheaper in Taiwan, I bought this lotion for around USD$15.

Overall, I really like this product. However, people were unable to get a concrete answer from DHC regarding the safety of this product. Try searching for Rosemary Jacobs, Stan Jone, and/or Paul Karason. Do you think all the benefits of this product are worth the risk of turn PERMANENTLY blue? I don't think so.

I got samples of this when I bought the DHC deep cleansing oil. I didn't even know that DHC was around until I read the reviews and looked them up.
I have never had a serum do what this has done for my face and I've tried quite a few things out there.I have more crap in my medicine cabinet than I know what to do with.
I am amazed at how soft and smooth my skin feels and I do see noticable changes in my lines and wrinkles. I use this at night after I cleanse and tone, then follow with the cream (That cream is amazing as well). I can use this with another cream and have great results, wow.
I am capable of justifying this expense to my husband (whew, finally) and have him notice, I just hit the jackpot (happy dance, whooohooo)! I think that using both this serum and the cream does make a difference, for me anyway.
For someone like me who is heading into menapause, needing to retain firmness, moisture, even toned, kissable, touchable skin, and fighting off age kicking and screaming (without the use of plastic surgons), DHC has done the job well with me so far. I don't know what I will be like in 6 months, but for now I am very, VERY, happy with this serum, milky essence, whatever you want to call it.

As a "mature" woman (over 40) who still deals with SUPER oily skin, this serum/booster is heaven. It feels like putting water on your skin. No stickiness, no residue at all. Lovely. And, after about a month of once or twice a day use, my skin seems smoother and younger-looking--even the pronounced parenthesis on one side of my smile seems softened and the surrounding skin plumper. One lippy off for clunky container. Price is good at under $25 for about 3 oz. Even better on sale at $18.

I do like this product and my facialist proved (under the magnifiying glass) to me that it is effective (firmer w/ smaller pores). This cream feels very light (w/minimal or no fragrance) and will be great for anyone prone to clogged pores. At first, it feels slightly cool, and sinks in immediately (lovely). Product description: "This light-textured booster in an integral step in helping to minimize the appearance of wrinkles and age spots, thanks to absorptive platinum and silver nanocolloids. Hydrating botanicals and coenzyme Q10 in the silky serum help maintain younger-looking skin. For best results, apply after toning, followed by Platinum Silver Nanocolloid Cream"
The texture is super light (not at ALL oily or heavy), a slightly more watery serum but it is easy to control and apply. It works perfectly with the Platinum Silver Nanocolloid Cream (also light) and it would be easy to layer other products on top if you need. The pump dispenser is perfect and the price is super reasonable ($23 for 2.7 oz).
Initially, I received samples of this and the cream along with the Q10 Cream. Trying them both, I liked the Q10 Cream better (my skin felt firmer, glowed, smoother, etc.) although the cream felt heavier. I did the 1/2 face test (Q10 on one side & Plat. Silver on the other) for a 1/2 week and then went to my facialist. I thought the Q10 side looked better (more smooth). Under my facialist's magnifiying lense, (she used to assist plastic surgeons and is well versed with lasers) she said the platinum silver product side looked better: firmer w/ smaller pores while my Q10 side had some clogged pores! So I bought the Platinum Silver products (I love them). These products are so light (and feel cooling) that I could imagine really enjoying them even more in the hot, humid NYC summer (when I have to wear the extra layer of SPF 35+).
***Update 1/26/09 - I do like this product very much and can recommend but I have gone back to my Jurlique Herbal Recovery Gel (serum that firms and moisturizes and soaks immediately into the skin without any oil or shine) simply due to me streamlining my skincare routine.
I am Korean, 42 yrs old but most think I'm 28-32. People say my skin is like porcelain but it has good and bad days like everyone else and I have combination skin (however prone to plugged pores and occasional breakouts). I just started using DHC products since Feb. 2008 and before I only used top lines (Natura Bisse, Jurlique, MD Forte, Clarins).
