It looks good, but the quality is poor. There's a lot of cut bristles that make it scratchier, plus the brush never stopped shedding like crazy. Yes, it's pretty dense, but I really don't feel like picking about twenty bristles off my face every time.

I'm sad... my buffer brush has finally gone out. After over a year of use everyday it's starting to get a bit scratchy, and I have to say for the price I paid for it (under $10 USD) it's a great value and a great brush! I'm not sure why the hair is getting a little scratchy, and it's only noticeable when I'm buffing. I bought a brand new one and I don't have that problem, so I assume it's the using of it everyday and possibly not taking care of it as much as I should have (not washing it as much as I should have (YUM!) and keeping it stored upside down... or in a makeup bag constantly. For a beating, this thing kept up very well. I bought another one, because even though it's scratchy, the darn thing works just as well as it would have the first day I got it! I just have roscea and if I use it, it irritates my roscea and makes my cheeks get all red and splotchy because of the irritation. I would recommend this brush to anyone though!!! Gogogo!

I emailed coastal scents wanting to refund this brush. It is so scratchy and I am not super fussy to begin with. CS did not reply my email. Threw it into the bin after receiving it. wasting my time.

Great for buffing your foundation but oh-so-scratchy...It hurts my skin. 2 years ago when I bought it, it was okay--really liked it for powder foundation-- but now, no no no. =(

I use this for buffing in my powder foundation for I just hate using the sponge thing. This has very dense bristles and imo the bristle length is perfect for buffing powder on. This actually helps me to get better coverage without the cakey look using a sponge. The brush is sturdy too.
When using the finger to swipe through the brush, I can feel that the bristles are quite soft but... try swiping the brush on a larger area, like your arm in a swirling motion, you will know this isn't that good though this is cheap. It's so scratchy! Imagine rubbing sth scratchy on your face - it's just like a physical scrub everyday and who wants that!?
This brush actually reminds me of the Everyday Minerals one, which imo, wasn't scratchy at all. The EDM one is even a tad cheaper.

I bought this buffer brush while i was waiting for Coastal Scents Other buffer brush to come back into stock , I liked this to begin with but i did find it a little stiff and rough on my face. Of course when i got my hands on the other brush this was just left lying there as it just doesn't compair , I wouldnt buy this brush again simply because they make another one which is soooo much better IMO and its just to rough.

UPDATE: I love this brush so much!! I've used it to apply liquid foundation, tinted moisturizer, maybelline mouse foundation, blush and bronzer. Brilliant. I have dry skin that's why I said below that it makes dry patches visible, but I guess it's my skin's problem not the brush lol. HOWEVER, the funky smell is still there.....it's been about 5 months and I washed it probably a dozen times but the smell won't go away.....good thing is the brush is now softer! =)
This would be a great brush if the hair is softer and not stink as much.
I've washed it several times by now and the unpleasant smell is still there, although not as strong, there's still a smell on the brush. And the brush scratches my face.
Pros: Great multi-functional brush. I used it to apply liquid foundation, blush, & bronzer and I'm really liking the effect it gives with both the blush & bronzer. Not much for foundation as it makes the dry patches show up.
Overall, it's a great brush but I won't repurchase. I'd probably try the other brushes by Coastal Scents tho.

I had such high hopes for this brush. I have the synthetic buffer and bought this one to have on rotation (I use both to apply foundation). While it's not a bad brush it is NOT as good as the synthetic buffer. The brush feels somewhat scratchy, not to the point of make it impossible to use it, but it is not as soft as I thought it would be. It works great with my foundations and I use it, but, the main reason I gave it only 3 lippies: it shades like crazy, even after washing it! I'm press for time before going to work and the last thing I want having to pick up tiny black or long white hairs from my face! The shedding has decreased after 3 weeks of use, but it stills shed. I would not buy this again and I've should have bought another synthetic buffer instead of this one.
EDIT: I added a lippie to this brush because it works wonders for blush and bronzer!!! I think it's liquid products that made it shed. It works awazingly for buffing powder and cream products. It's Still a bit scratchy nothing too awful) still minus one lippie.

Just took a look at the reviews here, and I can't believe the huge range of responses that TOTALLY contradict each other! My brush is soft, dense, and has never shed. The fact that multiple other users have said the exact opposite makes me feel like there are huge problems with quality control, and thus I am only giving this 4 lippies. For a company that sells strictly online, it's really important to be able to guarantee quality and consistency in your items, which it seems that Coastal Scents cannot. However, that said, this brush works like a dream for me. It buffs on mineral foundation and bronzers like a dream, and I will definitely repurchase if mine starts to look ratty (and just hope and pray the replacement isn't sparse, prickly, and sheds!).

This brush works amazing for me ! I use it to blend and buff in my liquid foundation. I find this brush to be very soft and dense. It's perfect ! I am considering to re-purchase another one for my cream blushes and to buff out my powder blushes as well. ; )
GREAT BUY !!

This brush is pretty, dense, and useful. It works great for blending in foundation, bronzer, and blush. The texture of the bristles is okay, not scratchy or anything, but I might like a softer bristle end.
Not bad for the price, a nice-looking brush.

I purchased this brush even though some people had complained about smell issues with the brush. I have bought a duo fiber stippling brush (the one they used to sell with a black handle) from Coastal Scents. That brush had a mild odor upon arrival, therefore two good washings removed the odor forever. So, I do understand that sometimes brushes do have odors to them upon arrival. And, as a result, I wasn't expecting this brush to be any different, after I got it home. However, to my great surprise the brush did not have any bad or noticeable odor to it at all!
The brush had NO detectable smell to it when I first smelled it. After, giving the brush two thorough washings (to make sure that it was free of any chemicals and starches) and letting the brush fully dry, there was still no detectable scent to the brush. Therefore, i DID NOT notice any terrible stench to this brush before or even after washing it and letting it fully dry. It has not shed one hair since I received it and I use it alot. The bristles are soft and do not irritate my sensitive skin at all. Also, the brush has never bled any dye during any time that I have washed it. And, this is why, one should definitely keep an open mind when deciding whether or not to purchase this brush.

I use this brush for applying bronzer and complection enhancers. I am very pleased with it. I like the physical size of the brush. It fits in my hand well and is easy to control when applying bronzer. I have not found the bristles to be too harsh on my skin. To me it is a great finishing brush when I want to buff everything together when I am almost done with my makeup.

i wanted to like this brush and after reading some of the reviews that mentioned that the brush is great, i decided to purchase it. unfortunately, it's been stashed in the back of my closet and forgotten... why?
it's super scratchy! i guess their brushes are not very consistent because i've seen reviews that the brush is super soft and others who claim they are scratchy. well, mine is scratchy... and i consider myself to have pretty tough skin too.
it does shed but i can't really tell because it's so scratchy that i can't even use it.
so, i think it's a hit or miss product. purchase at your own risk because mine was a definite miss. =(

This is sooo soft! It's PERFECT for my MAC MSF's because it doesn't eat them up like firmer brushes do. Don't get me wrong, the bristles aren't flimsy, they're SOFT and dense. Mine hasn't shed at all (maybe the expected 1 or 2 hairs). There's no smell to mine and the wooden handle is very attractive. Great with loose mineral powers too.
The only thing I'm not crazy about is the writing on the brush... It doesn't match the name of the brush, it says: IBI103 Falt Bronzer... But that's just being picky!
This is an EXCELLENT brush and I highly recommend it!

I'm torn on this brush, to be honest. It's super soft, and applies like a dream; however, I am pretty annoyed at how much this brush sheds. I have many other Coastal Scents brushes, and this is the first one to shed this badly on me. Actually, it's the first brush *ever* I've had that sheds this badly. I just bought the other buffer brush, so we'll see if that sheds less.
