I bought this for only $10 at the CCO so I was already happy! I bought it because of the heatherette packaging <3 and the name was bonus beat! HOW CUTE!? Anyways. I love the color pay off! It's really light. I was SO scared at first but after putting it on top of my pinky/dark nude lipstick it looked AMAZING. I was very happy with it (: I fell head over heals in lovve ! swear. it is just amazing. it's kind of sticky but i expected that :) has AMAZING stay power.

WHYYY was this limited edition??? I got this from CCO and fell head over heels! Bonus Beat is great for any skin tone i'd imagine. i am Olive to Dark skin and I was scared, thinking that it would be ghoulish on me... but oh man. With my milk chocolate lip liner, it looks nude and just perfect. I am on a quest to find some thing similar at MAC that will be available year round.

i bought this to go with the fleshpot lippie from heatherette. it looked so good at the mac counter and i purchased it. i tried to work with this lipgloss, with the fleshpot lipstick and other lipsticks i had. even with underplay....i didnt like the results. it washes me out just like the lipstick and its kinda sticky...

Got this in a swap from the lovely laurence and OMG.. I am in love with bonus beat. It's such a pretty colour when i layer it over my peachy/nude lippie (think siss, underplay, freckletone). It just blends with them turnin' them into diff. colours. Am pretty cautious the amount that I used coz this is limited edition. and dun get me started on the packaging.. the heatherette collections are really purrrddy...

Bonus Beat is such a great nude gloss, and it works great with fair skin, but after a while it kinda starts fading and you can see your natural lip color shine throught. It would work soooo well over nude lipstick. But if you're looking for a less intense nude lip then I would give this gloss a try.

This is the best nude color I've found by MAC, it's not very pale beige and not sand brown. It's nude! I'm glad my lips arent very dark, otherwise I've to buy the Freshpot lipstick ;) and it's sooooo glossy!
"Bonus beat" is also a great name for this gloss, ... go to the Disco!

When I first saw this I was totally on the fence, thinking it would look horrible on me! I tried it, and totally fell in love!
It goes on a gold-ish nude, but it isn't quite opaque so my natural lip color shows through a little, giving me a perfect nude shimmer.
It adds a multi-dimensional look to the nude lip, so it's not boring, also makes my lips look plump. Perfect color for summer!
The key to make this work is to use a thin layer, do not glob in on or it will look gross.
Love the pink packaging!
Highly recommend and would repurchase!

I am a little bit iffy about this lipglass. I put it on, and it was disgusting on me. It looked like BOOBOO! It was clumpy and gooey and wouldn't do anything. Then I tried pleasureseeker lipstick on top to see if that would help it. And it didn't really do too much. BUT THEN I went over it with a lip brush and it looked much better. So, I guess the moral is, use this with a lip brush to begin with and it should come out fine. It is a very sparkely nude color. Very pretty. I am hoping I learn to love it more.

First disclaimer - this is a 5 out of 5 over lipstick! It's seriously the most gorgeous nude color EVER - but that is OVER LIPSTICK! That's why I only gave it 4 lippies because its not as amazing on it's own. C-thru is a better nude gloss if you're wearing the gloss on natural lips but over lipstick i MUCH prefer the shimmery and milky quality of Bonus Beat - plus you cannot beat the packaging - so adorable!
Thanks to this lip gloss and a good weekend of shopping I found my HG nude lip looks (although I may have to find another gloss to replace this one when I run out because I don't have a backup) - anyways, the perfect nude lip on me (NW15, dark hair, blue eyes) = Cargo Reverse Lipliner + MAC politely pink l/s + Bonus beat = AMAZING!
Would rebuy however I'm not sure I'd pay a crazy price for it as I wouldn't say it's one of a kind.

At first, I was unimpressed by this gloss. When first applied, it's really uneven and goopy, and looks rather like shimmery concealer. But after a few minutes, it seems to melt into my lips and gives me a sheer, shimmery nude lip. I don't wear very many beiges, since I'm very cool toned I stick to pinks and reds. But this was a good one to branch out to nude gloss with, because it's perfectly neutral. My only reservation is that while it applies opaque, after it smooths out, it becomes rather sheer. Overall, a very pretty gloss.

Bonus Beat is similar to C-thru, but I prefer C-thru. In the tube, Bonus Beat is an opaque pale beige with slight shimmer and applies as a pigmented milky pale nude with some slight shimmer; c-thru is paler and has no shimmer. Bonus Beat also doesn't apply quite as smoothly. I'll use this up and would repurchase in theory, but I won't really just because I prefer c-thru and will get that when the time comes for a replacement.

After much debate, I finally broke down & bought this. I think it's perfect! Better than C-Thru imo. I love that this looks like a lipstick & gloss in 1. No fussing with all the steps, great coverage(no streaking on me), I didn't even use with lipliner yet. Very happy with this one!:)

On my lips, this is C-thru with shimmer, a gorgeous nude with gold iridescent shimmer. I wear this color with Beurre Cremestick (blended very well). This looks great with dark purple or navy smoky eyes, black liner and lots of mascara. NC25 *Update* I looooooove this gloss.

I really like the color and how it looks on my lips. It's a very opaque nude lip gloss. My only problem with it is whenever I try to reapply it it just looks bad. It always goops towards the center of my lips and looks very uneven. I can't smack my lips together when I apply this because it'll completely ruin everything. So all in all love the color, hate the application.

I LOVE THIS LIPGLASS! For reference, I am NC 40-42 with combination skin. I am blessed and thankful to say that most colors look good on me. I can see how the girls with lighter complexions wouldn't like it. It can wash you out. BUT if you love the nude, mod, j.lo, whatever-you-wanna-call-it look, then you've gotta pick up this gloss. I would say it gives you the look of Myth lipstick with C-Thru lipglass on top in 1 product, which is great for me. The less I have to layer, the better. WHICH is WHY I bought 2!!! =)

MAC Bonus Beat lipglass from Heatherette 2008 is an opaque tan-beige l/g. The concept of a strong nude lipcolor is great, but not when it's so opaque that it can clash with skin tones. Because Bonus Beat is shimmerless, it makes lips look flat and the texture looks gunky. In general, I don't care for "mod" lip looks that require a bowler hat and false lashes to say, "This is couture." I agree with the reviewer below that Sugar Trance (MAC Fafi 2008) can be a gorgeous "nude." Also grab Lollipop Loving l/s from Heatherette 2008 for a similar "Nude But Better" lip!

I'd have to say I agree with the reviewer before me. Bonus Beat looks nice in the tube, but it was a little too creamy on my lips. I found it hard to get it to look smooth, and the milky color settled into the lines of my lips, making it look less attractive. I much prefer C-Thru, or Sugar Trance from the Fafi Collection. I will not be buying a back-up of Bonus Beat... (that makes my wallet happy!)

I really wanted to like this and I loved the swatches I saw online, but on me, this is just "meh". In the container, it looks so pretty, much nicer than C-Thru. However, when I put it on, it does not look as good as in the container. I thought it would be a little more milky/opaque with some shimmer, like a more shimmery version of C-Thru. While I think Bonus Beat is ok, and will wear it, I much prefer C-Thru and will not repurchase Bonus Beat. It's not what I expected, but I can see why people like it.

I just received this today--love it! The packaging is lots o' fun and the color is much better than C-Thru, at least on me...it's not so milky and creamy as C-Thru, more glossy and shimmery and pretty...definitely will be buying one or two more for backup purposes...
