I have had the same jar of this product forever. I honestly think that I will have it always, because you need only the tiniest amount. In that regard only, this product is worth its price. I don't know about people of all skintones, but for WOC with pigmented lips, you must make sure that you only use a speck of this. The first time I tried it I put on way too much and looked like that Dave Chappell character Tyrone the Crackhead. I just dot tiny spots along my lower lip and then rub my lips together. I also try not to let this go outside of my lip line because it is noticeable. Proper moisturization of your lips beforehand is a must. I do find that this is a good product for keeping your lip products, *especially* lip glosses, in place and without feathering. I really wish that it applied more like a smooth lip balm, however.

Received this in a swap and am liking it, with reservations. It works well to better define the lip line for us ladies of a certain age, but by itself it's too light & looks really weird. What I have to do is tap it on the lip line and then blend foundation stick over it with a sponge, and then apply my lipstick & go over the lip line with my lip brush. Then I have a nicely defined lip line.

Don't need it on my lips because they aren't well pigmented at all but it doesn't hurt either.

The idea behind this product is that it works as a concealer for all lip colors, making your lip color truer to what you see in the tube, and prolonging the wear. This did none of that.

First off, the grey tint in this is meant to wipe out the pigmentation of your own lips. All it really did for me was make my lips look like they had a coating of grey/beige lipstick over them.

I was expecting this product to set into my lips after application and dry down so I could safely spread my lipstick over the top but the formula is so creamy that it mixes the ashy/beige color with your lipstick color, and getting all over the lipstick itself when I go to apply. Its like trying to layer lipstick over a really sticky lip gloss.

As for lasting power, I can't really say because it fuglies up the look of my lipstick so much I just could not keep it on. But I can imagine that creamy consistency will have it coming right off at the slightest provocation.

Not sure why but I really like this lip primer. It kind of makes me feel glam using it before lipstick. As far as delivery, it does the job as someone else mentioned. I find myself less worried about my lipstick feeling dry or doing the lip-smacking/rubbing together thing. It does mix in a little with your lip colors. I don't think it's really for every day because it creates more of a glamorous night-time look that I don't always want. Would repurchase.

This product did nothing for me except make my lips look like concealer. Thank goodness I received this in a gift set and didn't waste $$ on it.

This product is a must have for me. It is on the pricey side, but a little goes a long way. I've used mine almost everyday for months now and still have a good amount left. My lips are highly pigmented and no matter what nude or light lipsticks I use the redness still shines through unless I put this on first. It works amazingly well; fills in the lips great, covers any redness to give you the true shade of your lipstick, and makes lipsticks and liners last longer!

I really love this product!!!!!! It neutralizes my lips so good. The lipstick glide on my lips but I believe you should put a gloss too so that your lips won't dry out. If used properly it won't look chalky. I have bought the tiny jar (mini lip spackle) and since u only need a small ammount of product it last for a long time.
I ve been always looking for a product like this and I finally found it!! I will also try Mac's lip erase because I ve read many good reviews :-)

I cannot seem to make this product work. I don't have highly pigmented lips so I don't use it for that purpose. I wanted it so that my lip color would stay on longer, but this does nothing to help that. It was a big waste of money.

I have very pigmented and sort of big lips. I hate them , I try my hardest to tone them down. I tried so hard to find a MAC lip erase but never found one. So i heard about this product. thinking it would give me a nude lip, it made my lips looks white, chalky, and you can see my dry lips no matter how much chapstick i put on. ALso, the price is very expensive for a small jar. It was not worth it for me.

I love laura geller <3

my first product from her was the balance and brighten [which is amazing] and all of her mineralize and baked products are wonderful..

the lip spackle was talked about on youtube, so I had to try it..

I tried it on at sephora, and it immediatly made my lips white, but in a good way, I put too much on so I rubbed some off and was left with baby pink lips :) the texture was so nice and smooth, really feels like silk. unlike concealer which is thick and not made for your lips.

lip spackle comes in a pot and should last a good while but is very expensive. I wish she would lower the price so more girls could try it, but I will end up buying it because the sample I got was so tiny and im running out of it realizing I absolutely need it!

the spackle looks pretty on its own as a baby pink lip that lasts, and its meant to keep your lipstick on longer and show its true color. it deff does that! it keeps my myth on for 6 hrs which is amazing since I usually apply my lipstick every hour..it saves product and ultimatly your money..I can easily learn to love that!

balance and brighten is my fave product from LG.. it has taken the place of my foundation and I love the stuff. lip spackle and the balance are deff HG products for me now..

overall I would suggest the spackle to anyone who needs help with there lipsticks lasting longer, to blank there lips for bright colors, or even alone as I like to wear it..just remember, if you don't like it..return it. you should only keep what works perfect for you. go to sephora and try it out and get a sample :)

any questions let me kno..

I have been using this lip spackle since i discovered it in sephora months ago. In the mornings I apply a *light* coat of this to my lips - be careful not to use too much, just one or two taps of your finger in the jar is enough for both top & bottom lip - then I line the lips and apply lipstick & gloss. The color stays true to the lipstick, even for those with highly pigmented lips (like mine). The silicone ingredient does not allow lipstick to feather or seep into lines around the mouth. Also, the color stays on my lips throughout the day, even after eating (although i have to reapply gloss). When you first apply the lip spackle, it looks seriously scary. It goes on very matte and by itself can be a little drying (i have always had dry lips, so i'm sensitive to anything that doesn't add moisture). be careful not to apply this lip spackle if your lips are chapped or flaky because you will only make the dryness more obvious. to get supple, "pillowy" lips, you should exfoliate and hydrate them. i exfoliate my lips with Philosophy's lip exfoliator, i hydrate them at night with Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment (and drink lots of water). You will have gorgeous lips and your lip spackle will glide on smoothly.

I agree with Miss Daisy! My lips are highly pigmented and the only way I can wear light shades of l/s&l/g is with this great primer! It fills in all the tiny lines and makes a stable nude base.Beware not to put too much on-I just tap my finger into the pan and that is enough for top &bottom lips.Too much applied and the whole effect is ruined because you will not be able to apply anything over the primer.Less is more !!!!!!!!!!My lips stay set for hours, much longer that they used to with no primer.Laura Gellar has some great products-try them out!

I’m not really sure why there haven’t been more reviews on this product. Laura Gellar’s Lip Spackle is by far the best lip product I have found in years. This flesh toned lip primer comes in a clear 7 gram pot. Lip Spackle not only fills in the lines on my lips to make them smooth, but it makes any lip color appear true to color on my lips (finally!!!). I have very pigmented lips, making it virtually impossible to wear most sheer or nude lipsticks because the color never looks quite right. I’ve used concealer and foundation over the years, but all that does is dry out the lip and blur the lip line into the rest of my face. This Lip Spackle creates a smooth foundation for applying perfectly shaded color without drying out my lips. You only need a teeny tiny amount which will make this pot last forever. Just use your fingertip to spread a little of the product in a sheer layer over your lips, making sure to go outside the natural lip line and then you can apply your regular lip product. You’ll be amazed how the color pops! Girls with highly pigmented lips – you must give this a try!! I’ve gone back into my stash and rediscovered lip products that I couldn’t wear before are now HG status. Wow!

I am starting a review for Laura Geller's Lip Spackle because it is now sold separately from the Eye Spackle. I have been looking for years for a decent lip balm or primer -- anything that would keep my lipstick on and looking fresh throughout the day -- and I have finally found my HG. Lip Spackle is much different than any other lip product I have used ... it looks pinky-beige in the pot, and it looks whitish-beige on the lips. That was a little scary at first, but after applying my liner and lipstick, the colors really popped. Everything was still fresh before I ate lunch, and it only faded a bit after I ate. But the best part was that when I went to reapply my lipstick after lunch, I didn't have to start all over -- I usually have to basically wash everything off my lips and start over again with balm/primer, liner and lipstick, because after I eat (or after my lipstick wears off from talking or just in general), my lips are either dry or sticky or otherwise yucky. With Lip Spackle, my lips were still very smooth after I ate, and I only needed to reapply the lipstick ... not even the liner! (This is not to say I was left with a liner "ring" around my lips -- I wasn't, but the color was not faded enough to warrant another application.) As I am writing this review, it's been six hours since I first applied the Lip Spackle and it's been 2 1/2 hours since lunch, and my lipstick looks like I just applied it. I am highly impressed with this product and will definitely repurchase! It is a bit pricey at $21.50, but a little goes a long way, and I don't expect to run out for a long time. UPDATE: This is seriously the BEST product ever known to man... er, woman! My l/s remains fresh for hours, even if I talk a lot -- and I do. :) With other products I'd get that white gunk on the edge of my mouth, and that doesn't happen at all when I use Lip Spackle. It also does not dry out my lips the way Guerlain Lip Lift did. Perfection. 2ND UPDATE: It should be said that I think this product will only work well if your lips are not dry or chapped, otherwise the dryness might be magnified. I've been using Laura Geller's Lip Strip every other night, and I also try to keep my lips as hydrated as possible. But do not be afraid of how white it looks when you apply it; once you top it with liner and l/s, you are good to go!
