I got this scent from a friend a long time ago. It isn't something I would usually wear, but it's a great scent for summer! The packaging is gorgeous and I really do like the scent!
Age: 25-29 Skin: Normal, Fair, Cool Hair: Blond, Curly, Fine Eyes: Blue
Want to smell exactly like garnier fructis conditioner? Get this! Its yummy and soft, fruity but not heavy. Its a little more faint than most other perfumes but its fairly lasting. Awesomely priced too.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Combination Hair: Blond Eyes: Green
I like this as an everyday scent in the summer. Its very light. As another reviewer said and I agree, I don't think I'd like it if were stronger. This doesn't last very long, but it is a mist so I wasn't expecting it to. I think I paid $7.99 for this on sale. I would re-purchase if it was available.

This is an interesting scent - I get a citrus note but it also smells like it might contain a floral note. It is a refreshing, bright scent but I don't love it. It might be one that will have to grow on me. It doesn't remind me of the Caribbean and I have been there many times. I think the floral note in this scent (if it is indeed a floral note that I am smelling) kind of makes it not as nice as it could be. It is light enough to wear during warm weather. It doesn't last long enough though.

This perfume is so refreshing which is nice every now and then. I can truly see myself wearing this on a caribbean vacation. It's an aquired taste I suppose for some but I'm loving it.
Age: 44-55 Skin: Normal Hair: Brown Eyes: Hazel
I was pleasantly surprised by this. Based on reviews, I wanted to get the original Instant Vacation but it was not available. It smells slightly fruity but not that cloying childish kind of fruity that so many products have. This has a fresh pleasant scent and a nice dry down.
It is very light and I have to keep reaplying but that's OK, I don't think I would like it if it was more intense.

This is a warm beachy breeze with soft fruity notes. It is a very light scent that can be worn as an allover body spray without offending anyone. Not a long lasting scent.
Age: 36-43 Skin: Combination, Fair, Warm Hair: Red, Wavy, Medium Eyes: Brown
I'm kind of liking this! To me it does have a beachy scent that does somewhat remind me of a Caribbean scene. It's fruity & fresh, but also has kind of a woodsy note in there too, which conjures up the sight of a boardwalk at sunset in my mind.
It's not very strong or very long-lasting, but that really doesn't bother me. First, it does say it's a "fragrance mist", not even an EDT, so it's really just similar to a body spray. Besides, in the heat of the summer I really don't want something that would be heavy enough to last that long. That would seem rather cloying, not to mention a beacon for attracting bugs.
Overall, to my own suprise I like this one the best so far out of mark.'s Instant Vacation line of fragrances.

I bought this from mark after smelling it on one of their scented magalog pages. In the catalog, it reminded me of a DNKY fragrance that has now been discontinued.
I really like the smell of this, but not at first. It's too fruity and tropical at first, but after a while, it settles down into a clean, somewhat spicy smell. This is a very light fragrance, so the staying power isn't the best.
If the top notes weren't so childish, I would wear this more often. I don't think it smells exactly like the scented page in the mark magalog, it has subtle hints of that, but for the price tag, it wasn't too bad.

I was hesitant to purchase this based on the scented page in the catalog, but I went out on a limb and tried it. I don't smell any fruit notes at all; I mostly detect the woodsy scent, and the combination of that and the very slight floral notes definitely reminds me of the scent of the beach. I didn't expect to like this type of fragrance as much as I do, but it's enjoyable and makes me look forward to summer. Scent didn't last very long, maybe a couple of hours, but as it's a "mist" and not an EDT or EDP, I was expecting that. I may buy a backup of this, even though I have more fragrances than it really makes sense to have....

WOW ♥ I did not think I would like this because it was described to me as a floral and I am not a floral fan. I'm so glad my recent Avon brochure had a sniffy in it of this, because I fell madly in love with this scent the minute I smelled it ♥
Avon describes this as Starfruit and Mango mingling with notes of orange flower, red heliconia and teakwood creating a fresh, tropical scent that transports you to paradise.
My take... WOW... I haven't loved a scent this much in nearly 10 years. It is everything in that description and so much more. It's not overly floral to me at all. Infact when I smell it, it smells very pretty and fresh. I can imagine being on a caribbean cruise and the air smelling like this.
Very fresh and beautiful and light. Though I wouldn't have been able to pick out the fruit notes, so it isn't a fruity scent. The scent lasts but it is such a soft spoken scent that just whispers and every once and awhile you catch a smell of something pretty. This is what Spring would smell like in a perfect world ♥ ♥ ♥
I've already reordered it:) If you order right now (April 2008) they have a free starfish pendant included. It's beautiful as far as costume jewelry goes:)

This is my new favorite summer fragrance!!!! It has replaced my beloved Escada Pacific Paradise. This actually seems to have a lot better lasting power than EPP does anyways. Mark has really perfected their fragrances...the new ones smell expensive, but are very reasonable. They don't smell like alcohol or chemicals either, which is one thing I hate is when the dry down smells like something unnatural. This fragrance smells just like a warm tropical breeze, the name is PERFECT! I've never been to the Caribbean but this definetely brought me back to when I lived on the Gulf Coast--riding on the ferry just to watch the dolphins surf on the waves created by it passing by them, hanging out with my friends on a summer evening having bonfire parties on the beach, barhopping on the boardwalk when I was 21, walking hand in hand with a boy that I really liked along the Galveston seawall--all those memories came back to me. It really was an instant vacation to a very happy time of my life. After sniffing the sample and within seconds getting that flashback there was no way I could pass this up. It smells fruity but very grown-up, a slight coconutty odor, its like a subtle tropical drink scent mixed with the smell of the ocean breeze. The bottle is cute and simple, has a starfish on it and it also came with a free starfish pendant which I didn't care much about until I got it--its really beautiful! I know that this is probably a limited edition so I'm thinking of buying a couple for backups--I'm serious, for me this fragrance is that good! Thanks Mark/Avon for bringing back some great memories in one simple sniff!

Mark Instant Vacation Caribbean fragrance is awesome! Its very light and fresh with notes of mango and orange flower. Its not a offensive smell at all. I love the original Instant Vacation fragrance and this is nothing like that, but is still very nice in a different way. To me the original I.V. is way more complex and heavy. Carribean is lighter and fruitier. It is creamy & fruity at the same time. Very sweet, but does not irritate me the way some sweet smells do. I love to try new scents, so this will be a fun one to wear for a while, but I will probably not repurchase. Staying power is not very good.

This is one of the few mark fragrances that isn't "off" on me - something about the bases reacts badly with my chemistry.
The scent is very pretty, young and light. Totally non-offensive. You could wear this to work or on a bus and be confident it won't send anyone into an allergy fit.
It's a light, beachy, fruity floral scent. Not particularly unique, but worth a try - especially for the price.

I really, really wanted this to be be a straightforward, simple fruity scent. It's not, at least not on me. It's floral, but not screamingly so... disappointingly, the best description I can come up with for this is... it smells perfumey. Not distinctly like anything, really. It's not "vacation-y" to me. It's walking-through-a-department-store-while-the-sample-girls-spray-everyone.
It isn't unpleasant, it just isn't something want to I'll reach for.

mark. describes the third installment in the Instant Vacation series as "A new fragrance inspired by a fresh, tropical breeze with notes of mango, starfruit and nectarine blossoms."
It's simply lovely. It really DOES smell like a fresh fruity breeze. Like if you've ever smelled one of those "breeze-scented" air fresheners and they smell totally fake...this is not like that; it really does smell like an ocean breeze. And the fruity notes are simply delicious. It makes me want to go sip a girly alcoholic beverage on a beach somewhere.
The packaging is a really cute bottle with a starfish on it. Small and sturdy while looking classy.
I'd much rather give it a 4.5 because it's not as long lasting as I would like a perfume this yummy-smelling to be, but I love the scent so much.
