This is my least favorite of all Physicians Formula products ever. I wanted to use this as a finishing powder to set my cream foundation (PanStik) and it did not work out. The brush was very coarse and tended to streak my foundation because it was just rubbing dry on my skin rather than buffing.

I had the same problem with packaging as besobeso: the powder did not come out through the brush as designed and I was never able to get this powder applied in a way that was functional (as in not all over my bathroom and shirt)

I'm not really sure what to make of this powder. I got it in a kit with the organic loose powder and blush. I figured since it says it's a finishing veil I would use it after I apply my foundation. I tried that and it has a pearly finish to it so it looked kind of odd having it all over my face. Although it wasn't overly sparkly it almost made my face shiny due to it's sort of glowy finish. Maybe it would be nice on the top of your cheekbones as a very subtle highlighter? It has zero coverage and seemed to do nothing to help my face look better. I thought maybe I'm using it wrong; it came with the other powder so maybe it's the finishing step after the loose powder? So I tried setting my foundation with the loose powder and topping that with the finishing veil. I have to admit that made the loose powder look less fake and noticeable (probably because when the 2 blended it made the powder less opaque, matte, and yellow toned). But again it didn't help fine lines, pores etc become less noticeable like they claimed. Wearing this over powder definitely makes the pearly qualities seem unnoticeable. But I'm still left wondering since it doesn't seem to do anything what the real point is? If I'm using this wrong please tell me.

I really wanted to like this powder since I am a fan of organc, paraben-free, etc. makeup. But maybe it's the shade or maybe my skin is just too dry for it, because it makes me look like i have dry skin when I put it on. A very thin brushing cuts down on shine, but it's just not a product I can get much use out of. So I'm still on the search for a good, mineral powder.

I love this powder - I use it to set my foundation, so I'm not expecting any coverage from the powder, and it works perfectly for me. I'm acne prone, and this doesn't make me break out. It controls shine as well as anything can for me - I'm pretty oily so no matter what I use I need blotting papers by afternoon - and I haven't noticed the smell. I do agree the packaging and brush are horrendous, as soon as I buy this I dump the entire thing into an old powder box and I apply with my own big natural bristle powder brush.

I've said this about some of their other products but I'll repeat incase someone doesn't read all the reviews for this line. I did not like this at first. And it ended up in my basket of cosmetic rejects until recently. I was diagnosed with rosacea and ocular rosacea. And my MMU's were just not cutting it. So I switched back to this line and I'm happy I did. No complaints and I believe this line to be better than any of the MMU's I've tried. I use the tinted moisturizer and then this to finish. I use this one at home and the pressed in my purse for touch ups. I put this into an empty MMU pot and apply with a soft retractable sable brush I have. It's soft and really sets the TM. I'm going to try the foundation next. But if I don't like it, I'll have the TM and this powder. Great stuff!

This is my HG powder. Ive repurchased several times and will continue to do so. It does exactly what I wanted pressed powders to do for years. Set makeup. It doesn't leave a heavy mask like pressed powders do. I love this powder so very much. Lasts all day, doesn't cake at all, light finish, matte but not dry looking, and doesn't break me out. My skin can breathe with this on cause It's so light. The packaging can come in handy. I just screw off the brush, add powder to hand, then use the brush like a kabuki. It looks sooo natural. This with their Organic wear bronzer and I'm a happy camper. I highly recommend this. Just use it the way I mentioned or with your own brush, not the way it was designed it wont work.

I like how this sets my look and makes my skin look matte. I don't care for the packaging or the brush too much though. Otherwise, I do like the formula for the powder.

I have the Translucent Organics, and I've been using it for a while now as my main setting/finishing powder. As nearly everyone else has said, the packaging is ridiculous & unusable; this product should be in a sifter jar. The formula is fabulous, though. I've been using mu for about 30 years now, and believe me, these newer powders are so much better than the old school ones that were cakey and heavy and never quite matched your skin tone. This powder is super-light and superfine and makes your skin look natural but better. The only drawback to this is that it doesn't mattify very well, and certainly not for hours, so it's not really suitable for very oily skin. Overall, though, this is a great product and well worth even paying full price for, b/c I don't know of anyone who ever uses up a loose powder. However, PF products are often cheaper if you buy a kit and especially if you have coupon, which I did (sometimes there are even $ off coupons on the packages). Otherwise, if you are budget-conscious like me, you might want to wait for a sale.

I LOVE this powder! It makes a beautiful matte look, not too matte though and it does not look cakey at all! EVER! And everyother powder cakes at first touch with my face.

The concept of this product is a good one. However the smell of it was so awful I couldn't get it anywhere near my face. I don't know if the one I purchased has gone bad or if it was just how it smells. Also, the brush that comes with it is so corse it scratches your face.

So first of all I will reiterate what everyone else has said. The packaging is terrible. The powder is supposed to come through the middle of the brush for "easy application." The only problem is, the brush sucks and the powder doesn't come through the middle.

So my solution was to unscrew the brush part and just tap the powder out onto a lid and use a softer brush to apply. The product itself is actually really great. I had been using another loose powder and it just didn't give as soft of a finish as this does. It doesn't oxidize like a lot of powders and provides a finish that actually lasts longer than a few hours.

would definitely buy again.

The brush is awful but I like the powder. I tap the powder into a small container; much easier to use that way. I was a huge fan of some of Neutrogena's finishing powders but wanted an organic option. This one gives me the polished look I wanted. Does need to be reapplied later but I have oily skin that always needs touch-ups throughout the day. Unlike some finishing veils, this one doesn't add color to your face or white you out; perfectly translucent.

This product I wasn't too fond of. The brush I hate, so I use my own. The product, to me, seems to be the same as the mineral powder, so it's kinda a waste. If you use the brush, it seems to take off previous makeup. I would not recommend this

I love all organic wear but this. berned_you was right. I felt like it was more so taking off what I had on. Those brushes with the powder in the compartment looks cool but never seems to work or come out. Like, this one does the most but mostly only if you absolutely tip it upside down which you would not do if you were actually using it. I definately prefer the organic wear loose powder. More product, better design, and same price.

I hate the brush and packaging. The brush feels like it was made from organic cactus needles and scratches the hell out of my face. So instead I take the cap and sifter off and use my own brush.
The veil powder works well. I'm a bareminerals girl and I was looking for something quick and cheap to replace my mineral veil until I was able to make the trip to my next town over to buy a new jar. I have not seen any overdrying or excess oil like previous reviewers have and it keeps my makeup put for the better part of the day.
However, I probably wouldnt repurchase unless I needed to. I still prefer mineral veil from BE bc this packaging is so horrible.
For those who said they feel as if they cant get any product to show, you have to unscrew the brush cap first and take off the sifter seal.

I do NOT like how this powder is packaged! It is awkward and you hold the bulky bottom half of the bottle as the brush! Clunky. If the product were in friendlier packaging, I'd be over the moon about it!

I don't like foundation or powder. It makes my skin feel tight, heavy and dry. BUT...this powder wasn't too bad. The colour is perfect for my freckled, very fair skin (translucent organics finishing veil). I didn't feel made-up or over-processed. I felt I looked natural, which I like, and there wasn't that powdery "I-have-powder-on" look. It blends well. I have combination skin and this did quite well with my oilier areas. My drier areas didn't look flaky or too dry. It feels weightless, which I really like. And my skin could breathe. I don't know how this will do in the fall/winter, but I'll keep using it to see how it does. This is my first mineral product and so far, I'm happy with it.

The price is a bit high for the little 9g you get. I am wondering with everyone jumping on the mineral make-up wagon, if there isn't a better deal out there.

This brush is really stiff and hurts my face. I also can't even tell if it's coming out like it's supposed to which frustrates me. I feel like i'm wiping away all my makeup trying to get it on. I would not repurchase.

All I can say is I was an oil spill after an hour (and I apply powder juuudiciously).

PS: I couldn't get it to come out of the brush top part, I hate when I get products like this, that have fancy features that never work.

I love this. I've tried "veils" before from other companies and thought they were okay until I tried this. This is wonderful. I wear it over the organic loose powder and blush. It makes my skin glow and it looks so natural!
