I bought this brush with high hopes. It does work really well, i used it like a stipple brush and the circular motion to blend my foundation out. Looking closer there were brush hairs all stuck in my foundation. I washed the brush in hopes that the loose hairs would come out but it just kept shedding. I returned the item for another and the same thing happened.

I will not be buying from this company again.

Also it must differ from place to place the brush pictured is not the same brush i bought, mine is black handled.

What a shame. My relationship with this brush started out so great. I bought this rather impusively at CVS whilst looking for a good contouring brush. For the first week, it did pretty well, got right into the hollows of my cheeks and blended pretty nicely. Tried using it for the sides of my forehead, didn't work out, but I use the ELF Complexion brush for that anyways. I was just looking for brush small but dense enough to get into the hollows of my cheeks.
After a week I gently washed and reshaped it. It took two days to completely dry and then...it was a completely different brush. No denisty, no contouring ability, nothing. I'm baffled. I'm gentle as can be when washing and reshaping my brushes and have never had this happen. Try as I might, I can't get it back to it's old shape and density. Oh well. back to CVS it goes, and I continue the search for the perfect contouring brush

It's not a bad blender brush, but it didn't make me fall in love.

This brush did not work for me at all. It would shed and the bristles were rough. Eventually it broke and I threw it away. Even when I see them in the store, I want to throw them all away!

I love this brush! I was looking for a brush similar to a stippling brush, but one that wouldn't stain like one and one that was shorter. I finally found it in this one. I have been using EoB brushes for years and I have been very happy with the way that they apply my makeup. I use this brush to apply my liquid foundation in a stipple and swirl application method and it works wonderfully. It spreads and blends my foundation lovely and doesn't make it look cakey. Plus, it cleans well. If anything were to happen to this brush, I would definitely by this brush again.

My friend had this brush and I tried it at her house. I LOVED it. So we went out to buy me one. I got it and I use it to set my foundation with powder. It was great, a couple fallouts here and there. Then, I washed it and about half of the brush hairs shed on me. I'm not even kidding. I tested the density of it and it is definitely a noticeable difference. Now my brush is no longer used and it's super flimsy.

I like using this product to blend out my contour, blush, and highlight. My problem is the farrell (sp?) came off of the handle. I could just glue it back on, but I'd rather buy a product that doesn't fall apart.

I love this brush so much I have 2 of it. I don't know what other reviewers expected of this brush but I'll explain how I use it and why I like it. I use it every morning to apply pressed powder over foundation or just over sunscreen. Then I also use it to spot-apply MUFE HD powder over the large pores on my cheeks. This brush is so perfect for this. Because it's very dense the powder applies very evenly and opaquely (I like my pressed powder to go on more opaque as it eliminates the need to use concealer). And also because it's flat it deposits the HD powder right into my huge pores so that they're nice and covered/filled up. I prefer doing it this way to using a silicone-based primer on my pores because primers break me out like nobody's business. I also really like how small the head of the brush is because I have a tiny face and bigger brushes just put powder EVERYWHERE. I find the bristles to be beautiful and soft and haven't had any issues with shedding. I do think this brush is a steal for this quality (only 7 or 8 bucks at CVS). Would repurchase again and again!

I hate this brush. It is almost too dense to blend anything in. Maybe my technique is bad, I dunno, but when I try to blend in my blush it takes a heck of a lot more effort than I think it should. It gets the job done, just not as well and quick as I would like it to. Also, the bristles are falling out. I'm so disappointed because I had high hopes for this but, but eh. Not buying again, thinking of just chucking it.

I tried to use this brush for different techniques for bronzer, powder, foundation, etc. but never really loved it for any of those things. To top it off this brush shed like crazy! I took very good care of it and cleaned it regularly with great care. It shed like crazy the first time I used it. Then it seemed to calm down a little and be okay for a while. That didn't last long. Hairs were coming out every time and were stuck all over my face. This is my 3rd EoB brush, and they all have shedding. I own several cheaper brushes from Revlon, SK, EcoTools, etc. but these are the worst.

I purchased this brush the other week looking for a kabuki brush to apply my bronzer. I ran across this at my local CVS and for $8.99 I figured I would give it a go. I was so AMAZED how great this works for contouring!! I use this for my NARS bronzer and I contour my cheek bones and it works great!! I wish it was a bit larger but I figured it was better than spending $$$ on a similar brush in the department stores. Only CON: it does shed.. i find it sheds about 5-7 strands with every use.. it's well compacted so you would really not see any difference on the performance of the brush, but i don't like the shedding-. For the price i paid, it's a small compromise. I think I will live. LOL

This is my favorite face brush. It has effectively replaced anything else I own, both high and low end. The price is ridiculously cheap when compared to the quality. It is the softest brush I have, also the fibers are very dense. I have washed it multiple times and the shape and hairs have held up well, still the same as when I first bought it. I use it only for blushes since I don't wear foundation or powders, and it deposits color evenly and smoothly. Would definitely recommend trying this before using any of the bare essential, sephora, or other brushes.

For Christmas I was on the hunt for a mineral make up brush - that was not a kubuki. I wanted a flat top/chisel brush that could be used for contouring - where it be for blush and or base. I searched online forever. I found many, but it is hard to purchase * I feel makeup brushes without seeing them first hand. The closest one * online* I did find is sold at Sephora. I did not purchase it.

I found this " blender" brush by Essence of Beauty by fluke at Walgreens. I bought one for my daughter and one for myself. I love this brush. Its soft yet not too soft. The short stubby handle allows you to use it for contouring & blending. It does not shed, it does the job.

I have a very large flat blending brush that I paid $$$ almost two years ago made for/sold by Nar's. Its called the "Botan" brush. Yes it does blend your entire face. It is huge in circumference. It also sheds out of control. Nothing like trying to finish your face and having to pick off residual black hairs .. uggh. Not what I expected of a $75.00 brush.

This EoB brush is now my Favorite and I love it. It's my pick of all my brushes I own. I have a ton.

I know this brush is probably for mineral foundation, but I use it for liquid foundation. It leaves a flawless finish! This brush is awesome with L'Oreal True Match liquid foundation. It buffs perfectly every time. I just dip the brush on the cap, re-shake bottle and dip again on the cap.
I think I use less foundation with this brush than a sponge or any of my liquid foundation brushes (EOB or MAC). I don't have any complaints on this brush what so ever.

Updated: FYI - I stopped using this for foundation. After long use with liquid foundation it started shedding like crazy. I don't reach for this brush anymore. In general I've found that EOB face brushes just don't last very long (2 yrs max). So far I've had better luck with the eye brushes, with the exception of the eyebrow brush (comb broke).

I didn't think I would buy this brush mostly because of the negative reviews here on MUA. I already have the Sonia Kashuk Flat Blusher Brush, which I bought to apply liquid foundation. Recently, I discovered that the SK actually works beautifully as a blush brush because the flat top enables me to "press" and blend the color onto my cheeks for a more defined look (think sculpted cheeks). I cannot achieve this with my big fluffy blush brushes. My problem was that I couldn't use this same brush for both foundation and blush at the same time. So when CVS had a "Buy One Get One Half Off" sale for their Essence of Beauty line, I decided to pick up this product along with the Brush Cleaner. This Blender Brush is shorter than the container that I use to hold my brushes, so I was worried about where I should store it. But no worries because the bottom of the handle is flat and I can let it stand on its own. Compared to the SK brush, the bristles on the Blender Brush are less dense, which is very evident when you apply a test and squeeze the heads of the two brushes. The EOB brush feel flimsier and softer, but in reality, the quality of the bristles are not as good quality and are little more prickly than SK's when rubbed onto the face. Though honestly, I don't really mind since this factor makes it even better for blush application. With this, I can get a good sweep of pigment onto my cheeks. I have not yet tried it with powder or bronzer or mineral makeup (it should give adequate results for all these things), but I wouldn't use this for liquid foundation. The SK is much better for that purpose.

When I first laid eyes on this brush, I told myself that I had to get it.

It looked unbelievably soft and the size was just perfect for getting into corner of the face. I also love the handle and how the brush was a blunt straight cut, it reminded me of the chisel brush from pur minerals but less dense and more soft. When I opened this up, it truly was soft as I imagined but I was thoroughly disappointed when I used it because, it does blend like it says but it sheds so much!! I cleaned it at least 20 times and everytime it sheds more and more. Recently though, it's stopped shedding, I'm going to guess because I had washed it so much, it will shed occassionally but nothing major. However, I'm not sure if its the product itself that sheds a lot or just the one I bought, I certainly won't take the risk again because I find that it's pricy for a brush that sheds so much. I won't repurchase this :\

I must say that I have washed this brush more than a dozen times, and I can't complain about shedding. I tend to reach for this with my mineral foundations more than my Bare Escentual Full Coverage Kabuki. I like the size which makes it very easy to control the amount of coverage with the foundations. I also use this to blend out my blushes if I want a washed out blush look. I like this brush a lot, and will defineatly repurchase when needed.

I can't believe this product isn't better liked. This is an absolutely amazing brush. It's a variation on a flat top kabuki and has tons of uses. It's great for mineral foundation, finishing powder, bronzer, blending down blush, and the list goes on. It's amazingly soft and affordable, too. What more could you want in a brush?
