I would not usually pick up a lipgloss (or liquid lipstick) for 12.99 at a drugstore, but my CVS had some of them for 75% off. I purchased the shade 'Precarious' for $3. I took off one lippie because did not like the texture, it was thin and oily feeling and after a couple of minutes of wear I felt like it was already all over my face. I wouldn't say it is as opaque as lipstick either, but alone with medium/olive skintones, it is a gorgeous wash of golds and coral! It look especially beautiful in a thin layer over Revlon C/B lipstick in Peach.
The texture put me off a little but I will probably go back and try some other colors.

I have been eyeing these lip glosses for a while. I found them on sale today 25% off. Which isn't a lot, but I talked myself into it. Spending $12 on lip gloss is pretty pricey for me, but it was worth every penny! I got Turbulent, which is an amazing deep red color. And boy, is it high intensity! It looks like lipstick, but it is shiny and moisturizing like a lip gloss =D The best of both worlds! It smells delicious and is not sticky in any way. Of course it doesn't last too long since it is a lipgloss, but hey, who cares!? I approve =)

Was able to try out a couple of colors when Ulta had BOGO free online. Ordered Euphoric and Reserved.
Euphoric is very pink in the tube but goes on very sheer. Nice hint of color but not too bright.
Reserved is a very pretty tawny/plum/pink color. Applies more like a lipstick color than a lip gloss.
Both are nice colors and are comfortable to wear without being sticky or greasy. The wand is a little unusual - it's tilted at a slight angle which allows you to insert the tip between your closed lips and apply upper and lower at the same time! Kind of cool...
Agree with other reviewers that it's spendy for drugstore lip gloss. Not sure if I will buy again or not but will keep watch for coupons and more BOGO.

One of the reasons I'm not a fan of liquid lip colors is they are almost always too sheer. Not the case with these. They are shiny, they smell good, and they are opaque. Now if they would only make a matte lipstick....

looks a little brownish and dark in the tube, but applies as a lovely rose/berry tint. it is creamy/opaque with good pigmentation, but isn't thick, sticky, or heavy feeling. The finish is natural, no sparkle or glitter, no over the top shine. There is a sweet, carmel scent, but I don't find that it lingers - and no flavor. The lasting power is just okay, but it wears evenly. would buy again!

I love these. They look so pretty in the tube that I had to get them, and I'm not disappointed! These smell like caramel candy, very sweet, and I like it! All the colors have the same smell. I got Euphoric and Zealous, both of them are very true to the colors as you see from tube, very opaque, very pretty! It is not as sticky as some glosses, and it is a very good substitute for lip stick for a quick glossy looking swipe on the lips for me in the morning! I think I will get some more while the BOGO is on at riteaid!

i love these! they go on very nicely, they aren't sticky at all, they really look like liquid lipsticks! they also have a decent staying power and are not too gloss looking, so it just looks like a glossier lipstick but without the lipstick feeling.
also, i loooove the smell! i hate it when my lipglosses don't have a smell or have an awful smell, but these smell really nice.

These are beautiful. I echo others' comments about their true-to-color application, moisturizing qualities, and opaque coverage. They *look* absolutely amazing to me, but I just can't get past the fragrance! It's like Bailey's Irish Creme, and it's quite a potent and lasting smell. I can tolerate it in the lipsticks from HiP, but these gloss/lipstick hybrids just smell too strong. I recommend sniffing before you buy as these are not inexpensive. They're well worth the money if you like the fragrance, though--in terms of quality, they are easily on par with NARS lipglosses IMO.

I was skeptical about buying this because I'm not a big fan of lipgloss (they're often too sticky for me, and usually only add shine since the colors can be very transparent). However, I was totally surprised by this, 'Distinct #870' is a beautiful deep crimson brown and the color seen in the tube, is very close to its actual hue when applied on my lips. It's quite opaque. Just as the name states, "liquid lip color" it's basically liquid lipstick, maybe I shouldn't even refer to it as 'gloss'? Lol. Well, here's what I like about it, PROS: *love the color and its rich intensity + shine; *I don't necessarily need to layer it atop lipstick, it's fine worn on its own; *can use just a dab, to merely stain the lips for a casual look, or can use more to glam it up; *a little sticky (thick) but not to the point where I immediately feel the need to wipe it off; *makes my lips look and feel moisturized; *it has a vanilla scent that isn't TOO overwhelming. CONS: *the color can bleed beyond my lipline a little - especially at the center of the cupid's bow, and side corners; *not kissproof - one sip of water, and almost all the color will be on the rim of the glass, without much left on the lips (must reapply a lot); *pricey. I was lucky and found it in a clearance basket at Target for only $3, I use it almost everyday (love it that much) and it's lasted friggin forever, yet I might be reluctant to pay $12 for it. if I can find it on sale for about $6 tops, I would def repurchase though.

I love HIP! I have Reserved (almost nude light mauve, cream), Precarious (an intense orange, shimmer/glitter), Arresting (florescent fuchsia, shimmer), Tainted (deep mauvish purple, has sheen), Turbulent (deep retro red, cream) and Euphoric (light pink/ shimmer). These are great and highly pigmented, I bought the Turbulent first since I wear reds a lot, next to that Tainted and Arresting. Reserved is great, but I hardly wear nudes. I like Euphoric for soft looks as well. Okay I know what your thinking, why did I buy an orange lip gloss, good question, but it was on sell at target for $2.75 so it was to try it. I think I should pair it with red or pink to make it cool, but I wouldn't wear it alone, it's not me. still the texture is great, not goopy or runny, and it has a unique smell, it's like a vanilla mixed with something. You learn to love it : p

I liked the color (zealous) and the texture of this lip color. The wand was soft, the container does not feel cheap and even though this was a more expensive lippie I would definitely buy it again knowing that I would get a good color that I would feel comfortable wearing for a full work day. It also had a decent taste, and the smell was not overwhelming. Great Buy.

color Harmless... this product smells AMAZING! I would purchase it again based on that alone. The color is pretty in the jar and I think would look great on people with a dark complextion or african american women. Its a little too orange on me to put on by itself. Used VERY liberally with another color its great! It has a LOT of color payoff just like the name states. Also feels good on, very silky and smooth. I think it retails for like $9 which is more than I would spend on a lipgloss but it was a BOGOF.

I probably wouldn't have bought this on a normal basis being that it's $12 a tube, but thank God for BOGO Free sales at Walgreens and CVS! (which CVS is having this week until 7/26 on their L'Oreal HiP Products!) So essentially, I got it for about $6 a tube. Overall, I absolutely LOVE the feel of this gloss on my lips! It doesn't taste funny and the smell is absolutely delish! It reminds me of caramel (my favorite flavor ever). I bought it in Splendid and Zealous. The color payoff is pretty impressive for a lip gloss. With my skin tone, which has gotten tanner in the past summer months, Splendid gives me just enough color for a nude, natural look and Zealous gives my face just enough pop for a dramatic look. I would definitely recommend this to anyone... and I would also definitely remind everyone that your local drugstore like Walgreens and CVS has some amazing sales and steals for these products and more if you're not looking to dish out the money for it!

i own 4 of these (BOGOF when they first came out)... and i'm just not enamored with them as others seem to be. the normal retail is about $12 for 0.23 fl oz which i find to be highly priced for a drugstore item. the color payoff is good for a lipgloss, it is non-sticky and lasts a decent amount of time. the colors are nothing unique but covers a decent range (from neutrals to brights). i actually prefer NYX over l'oreal HIP since it delivers same or better pigmentation and lasting power at a fraction of the cost. i doubt i'll buy more of this lipgloss especially since i find them to be too expensive for drugstore.

I love this lip color/ gloss!! I have it in Harmless. It has the perfect amount of shimmer and goes perfectly with my complexion. It stays on for a long time and it isn't too shiny. i will definitely rebuy.

If you're a gloss junkie and don't own one yet what are you doing?!? In my opinion, it's the best lip gloss (ok liquid lipstick) by FAR. Intense color, crystal clear shine, long wearing, pleasantly subtle taste & scent, does not sit in creases of lips, stable (does not slip about nor bleed), and great choice of wearable colors. The color intensity can be controlled. Use less for sheer coverage, use more for concentrated color. It has a super soft texture that sits comfortably on lips, and best of all non-sticky!!! Ok all glosses and liquid lippies are sticky but honestly this is the least of them all, beats other brands that claim to be non-sticky (e.g. Chanel Glossimer), hands down. Taste and scent are both subtly caramel. Not too delectable it ends up in my stomach which is great, glosses are meant to stay on lips. Don't be put off by the smaller packaging - it's a boon to girls who are fond of small purses. I bought this in Arresting and Zealous. Arresting is a fuchsia shade tinged with blue, and Zealous is a shimmery medium reddish brown.

This has to be one of the softest, smoothest, most densely pigmented lip glosses in the market. I love it. Since it is highly pigmented, it has enough color that you can forgo lipstick. But unlike most other liquid lipsticks, this went on soft and shiny and were very moisturising. It did not bleed, which is a major issue for me with other glosses/liquid lipsticks. I bought Splendid and Distinct. Splendid is described as a brown on the other reviews but I found it to be a nude on my pigmented lips. Distinct is a lovely deep bronzy brown which may be a bit too stark against my NC 35/40 skin but I love it. It can always be muted down by applying with a lipbrush or lighter lipstick. As for application, since the gloss is highly pigmented, it would be safer to use a lip brush as the wand picks up too much product and you could get a huge glop of product on your lips if you use the wand directly on your lips.

Gosh, $12 for lip gloss! I'm not sure why Loreal HIP increased their lippy prices when the regular hip glosses in the tube are better than these! Fortunately, rampant sales in my area enabled me to purchased these for half off, but still...Being that this is a liquid lip color, all of the shades are very pigmented (I purchased six of them so far, and they're all true to how they look in the tube). If you want nude, coral, or red, hip has it:) The taste and scent is vanilla, it's not runny, but the color does have a tendency to bleed. The color is so dense that you only need a little bit on your lips.
