At first, this shampoo was great on my curls, but eventually my hair started getting greasy at the part line. It was really bad. Don't waste your money on this. I love the smell, packaging quality, and price. That's about it.

I have tried millions of shampoos and conditioners. Always looking for one to give my kinky coarse hair nice volume and body. This shampoo lathers wonderful, moisturizes just perfect enough to leave hair pliable without being weighted down and heavy. The smell is luscious! The conditioner that goes with it is just as good. My hair turns out full, less frizzy and lots of movement and body. I love it.

I have long, wavy hair and wanted to try a shampoo designed for wavy/curly hair to help combat frizz and keep my waves soft and shiny. All this shampoo did, after using it every night for about 2 weeks, was make my hair a dull, dry and knotted mess. I had to stop using it because my hair was getting ruined. The only good thing about this is it smells good and makes a decent body wash. Spend your money on something else and don't get this.

This, and curly hair products in general, are ridiculously misunderstood. This WILL NOT make your hair wavy/curly if its straight. It won't make wavy hair curly. Don't give it a bad rating because it doesn't. What it is supposed to do is keep natural waves and curls frizz free. I got this for the gym when I realized I ran out of my normal s/c. Its ok, pretty much on par with what I'd expect from a drugstore shampoo. It did leave my hair nice and soft but its a fake silicone soft. The ingredients suck, and although the outcome is nice (nothing out of this world, but nice) just know that its a fake nice, its not really helping your hair at all. Hence the 3 stars. I may use it up at some point, but I really like my LUSH stuff so I doubt I'll be using it a lot. Still, if I had to get DS products for my finicky hair, they'd probably be herbal essences. Blows pantene and most other DS stuff straight out of the water, but its nowhere near LUSH.

Maybe I was expecting too much.

I have long hair, razor layer cut, and if left to it's own evil devices it will dry with many odd wavy/lumpy areas.

I had a brief phase of denial wherein I became convinced I could pull off that wavy, just back from the beach hair without spending an hour with a flat iron trying to look casual.

I bought this shampoo, the conditioner, and the mousse and attempted some scrunch drying. Nope, doesn't work. It cleans your hair, it conditions your hair, but in no way does it wave, or even encourage waving. Don't get your hopes up.

I love this shampoo! Smells really good & leaves my naturally wavy hair looking the way it should. I get it on sale when it's $2.99. I like the totally twisted & long term relationships - but I think this one smells the best out of the two. Will definitely repurchase :)

This product didn't work for me. I have naturally striaght hair though so I'm sure it could enchance someone elses natural waves but it doesn't magically create them.

I have black, fine, long hair with waves. It's a very good shampoo, smells very nice, not expensive, leaves my hair soft and after this I use a product from tresseme and I love the results!!

Love this stuff! I've gone through several bottles over the past few years. I was a little surprised to read reviews that complained it left their hair dry, then I realized I use this as a mild clarifier. I have long, hip length hair and I work from home, so I can get away with washing every two or three days at most. When I do wash, I usually rotate through a few favorite sulfate free shampoos or sometimes just a conditioner rinse, but this is what I reach for every two or three wash cycles, or on days when I've gotten myself particularly sweaty or grubby. I do like my sulfate free options for light duty cleaning, but this is what I reach for when I really need to scrape some grime away. I can't tell for sure (darned age/alcohol induced poor memory!), but I suspect the drying factor is the reason I don't use this more than twice in a row. For the light use I give it, it's perfect though.

And now, just because it has to be said....OMG THE SMELL IS SO AWESOME LOVE THE SMELL.

I like the cute bottle, but the product itself I didn't like as much. After washing my hair with this, my curls were all tangled, and felt dry. This never happens with my regular shampoo, Satinique Revitalising Hair Cleanser.

The only good thing about this product is the smell. It's slightly fruity like the rest of the HE shampoos, but it smells the cleanest. Unfortunately, after only two washes, this left my hair like straw. I'm used to using sulfate shampoos, and I'm no stranger to drugstore hair care. For the same price, I'd definitely choose Aussie products over HE in the future.

This is my HG drugstore shampoo.
I have thick curly hair, and my hair rebels when I don't use it (!).
When I can't afford expensive haircare, I go to Herbal Essences, and this shampoo.
It keeps my hair soft and shiny enough, and def enhances my curls (yay!).
It's a very sweet lavender scent, which I like.
I love this for an affordable shampoo!
:)

I've used this shampoo a few different times and gone through several bottles; it's not bad. It smells fantastic, but I found it to be way too drying on my hair. It made it feel like straw.

It's my favourite shampoo! It smells amazing! It's not salon quality or anything, but its not expensive, it's totally affordable! I need something practical for my hair but keeps my curls soft-looking and this is the product! I recommend it, I have brown, midlength hair and I really like this shampoo. it's my HG :).

I sent my dad out one day to get me more shampoo and told him to buy the blue herbal essences. Obviously, he came back with the wrong one and bought me the purple Totally Twisted 2 in 1 version. I decided to give it a try, even though I have fairly straight, midlength blonde hair. One of the best mistakes my dad has ever made!

First off, this product smells SO good. It's not like the other fruity scents that herbal essences make (even though I like those ones too) its very clean smelling, kind of like a flower, but it's not too flowery at the same time. Absolutely my favourite scent from herbal essences!

My hair sometimes does have a wave to it, especially in the back, and I noticed that those waves became a little more prominent when using this shampoo without blow drying. I'm not sure if I totally like that, but it's managable and completely worth it.My hair felt wonderful, really shiny and soft.

I will definitely be repurchasing! And ladies, I recommend you give it a shot if your considering! :)

I have long, fine, straight hair. I can't remember why I even bought a shampoo for curly hair, (it's been about a year now) but I LOVE this shampoo. It seems to add volume that the Body Envy Shampoo didn't add. I usually use it with Hello Hydration Conditioner...and alternate with Garnier Color Resist Shampoo and Conditioner.

Well first off, I'd like to say that I've tried many high-end shampoo and conditioner's, like Ojon, CHI, Wen, just to name a few. None of them really changed my hair at all. Then one day while walking through Wal-Mart, I saw this product, and thought, why not? I have curly/wavy hair. Its wierd, the back is super curly, but the front is wavy, with some curls. So anyways I started using this about 4 months ago, and have stuck with it since! I honestly don't understand how a $2 bottle of shampoo compared to $20-$40 worth of high-end shampoo can be better! But it is, and I love love love it. It is in such healthy condition, and makes my curls so soft. I also use the mousse and scrunching gel with this, and I also must say, all of the Herbal Essences products smell soo yummy! I love this stuff, and I doubt I'll be switching my shampoo soon:)

I have bought this shampoo many times and love the way it smells, not sweet or anything but clean and like some flower. I always use conditioner after shampooing, it is a must for me since I have frizzy, dry hair. One day I ran out of conditioner and just shampooed my hair, it was really dry. Then again, no matter what shampoo I use, it will be dry unless I follow up with conditioner. I had the matching mousse and hair gel from the Totally Twisted line. I added a few drops of frizz free serum (any kind) and combed it through. Then, I added mousse throught my hair and did not comb it, just scrunched up my hair. I added a small amount of hair gel so my hair wouldnt get stiff and my hair was curled after drying! It wasn't totallly smooth curls but it was shiny and nice! Smelled good too!
