Nice palet. Nice colours, great pigmentation. Nice colour combinations. I like this palet. It's great for a nice everyday look.

I got this at a cherryculture sale so I only paid $5 for this trio so I can't complain too much. I have plenty of other NYX trios and this one is meh. The color payoff as other reviewers have indicated is only so-so but I only use this trio for work, so the matte and subtle colors is fine. I find that the highlight color is basically the same color as my lid, so it's as if I'm not wearing anything! For some people w/lid discolorations, this could be a "my lid but better" (note, I am golden medium in EDM ftd for reference)
Anyways, I agree with other reviewers that the Suede is not dark enough for the crease, so I find that I may use another color or smudge my eyeliner to get more depth.
I keep this in my emergency work stash so I always have something and this is a basic palette that I don't miss at home. I will use it up (along with my zillion other palettes) but will not repurchase.

I love the NYX trios. Its easy to bring along when Im getting ready at a friends house and the main color family i use for my eye look is all there. The transparent part at the top also makes it easier to find as i don't have to open and see what color is inside.
This trio in particular though isnt great. I like the brown and suede colors but they apply fairly similar. I do like that they aren't too shimmery though which alot of eyeshadows tend to be. The pay off is good and they are subtle on the eye.
The highlight color is a great matte shade but it is a little too yellow for my skintone.
I wouldn't recommend this trio for darker skin tones as the shades are fairly light.

I really like the packaging. It comes with a little mirror that has a little magnification so you can really see how the eyeshadow looks. There are awesome neutral colors and they are well pigmented. This is great for an everyday look and for the price it's awesome. I love how portable it is and I love the sponge applicators because they are so soft. I would definitely purchase this again.

I really wanted to like this eyeshadow trio. I do like the packaging and I even like the little double ended brush that comes with it. I'm rather disappointed with the colours though. The Highlight is fine as a base however I couldn't really differentiate between brown and suede. The difference was too subtle. My skin tone isn't pale, I would say it's fair to medium (got a tan on holiday!). Both brown and suede do not show up very much, but will be ok as colours to wear to the office. My only gripe is that brown and suede, by virtue of being rather similar in shade is not sufficiently dark for me. I normally use a dark brown shade at the edges of my natural crease to increase the illusion of deeper set eyes. With this trio though I feel I will need to use a separate dark brown to achieve this effect. The suede colour has slightly more shimmer than brown does.

For the price however I suppose I cannot complain too much. The eyeshadows are very finely milled and soft in texture. I daresay the colour payoff is not fantastic (however bear in mind these are neutral colours) but I do prefer sheer colours to bright and bold colours so this is fine with me.

Would I repurchase? Probably not as it wasn't fantastic. But perhaps it will grow on me. Will edit if anything changes.

I wanted to achieve a nice everyday neutral look with these colors but it didn't give much for me. Its kind of powdery and the colors don't show up on my lids very much even with UDPP. I wouldn't buy this again for the simple fact that not much pigmentation comes out of it for me. The colors are matte and the highlighting color is decent but none of the colors have anything unique about them. They seem bland to me.

Sometimes i think NYX trios are a hit or miss. In this case it was a miss for me.

If you are looking to create a neutral, natural eye a la Bobbi Brown, look no further. In fact, the shades in this trio are pretty good dupes for 3 of Bobbi's shades. Highlight is light buttercream that looks most like BB's ubiquitous "Bone" shade. It's a satin matte and has loads of pigment--makes an amazing base shade. Brown is the crease shade in this trio and its BB doppelganger is "Taupe" only Brown is slightly less warm than Taupe. It's worth a mention that Brown in this Trio is very very different than the single pan NYX shade also named "Brown." The single pan Brown is very very warm toned--with almost mustard/ orangey undertones. In this trio, Brown is quite neutral. Best natural crease shade ever--looks more like a shadow than makeup/ color. Suede is a very light silvery taupe. Pigmentation is much more subdued in this one and it has a slight shimmer to it. It's the most subtle shade in the trio so it adds more affect/ dimension than it does color. That's ok with me--this eye is supposed to be natural. Suede is comparable to BB's shimmerwash shadow in Fawn, though Fawn has a lot more pigmentation. All 3 shades in this trio were soft, finely milled and had payoff. Sometimes it seems like the shadows in NYX trios are chalkier/ less quality than the singles, but I was very impressed by this particular trio. So, you could swing by a Bobbi Brown counter and walk away with Bone, Fawn, and Taupe for $60, or you could snatch up this trio from NYX. I bought mine off NYX.com where it retailed for $7! This trio gives me that kind of retro doe-eyed look I'm always trying to create. Would most certainly repurchase!
