I got a sample of this from Sephora. My Make Up Forever HD foundation bottle leaked everywhere after a flight. It was awesome in terms of coverage, color, texture, and lasting power, but irritated my sensitive skin so that I couldn't wear it every day. I asked a saleswoman which foundation she recommended for super sensitive skin, and she suggested this one. It really doesn't work for me. The first problem was that I couldn't get a good color match, but the color was at least passable until it oxidized and turned my face orange. Not cool. Second, the texture and lasting power don't compare to the quality of MUFE HD. It goes on very wet and a little too sheer. If you try to build coverage it gets cakey. Even worse, it creases and makes any dry skin flakes stand out. I'm going to pass on purchasing this and keep up my search.

This replaced my PTR foundation. I would say it has a sheer/medium finish so if you need more coverage I wouldn't recommend. One pump is perfect coverage for me. I LOVE the pump feature. I have combo skin which tends to breakout from certain ingredients. This has yet to break me out. I would say the bottle will last me 6 months of weekday and the occasional weekend use. Not sure if it is helping with lines but my skin does look better.

This is my HG foundation for about 4 years now. Its not too thick and cakey and its not sheer either. I think it gives perfect coverage for my skin without ever breaking me out. The foundation is long lasting and provides medium coverage for my combination skin. I would recommend this foundation for people with acne prone or normal skin who want medium to light coverage.

I really wanted to love this. I loved the packaging and liked how long the foundation lasted on me. That was about where it stopped though. From there I had caking in certain spots (so it looked spotty too), it didn't cover redness around my nose at all but was fine with my cheeks, and I broke out in acne. It's one of the rare (5-10) high end foundations I've tried. So far nothing impresses me and I'm still on the look out for the HG of foundations.

I NEVER write reviews on products but I am so happy with this foundation, I had to share. I have extremely sensitive, acne prone skin, even more so now that I'm 30. Every "oil free" foundation I have tried, drugstore, to high end including all of Clinique's (which used to be great for me, but they have changed their formula's in the last few years, they all make me break out in horrible cystic acne), Dior, Estee Lauder, Clarins, all the mineral foundations by various brands (which make me itch) and most recently Lancome. The only foundation I have had some luck with lately is Lancome's Fresh Wear, but it still gives me a few breakouts and the fragrance in it causes some allergic rashes. However better than nothing. I stumbled across this foundation at Ulta, and gave it a try. WOW! I love the look. It is very light feeling, doesn't make my face itch thank god, no rashes, and just smooths out my skin to give a polished look. It does not settle into my lines or pores. It doesn't dry my skin out nor does it make it feel oily like some other "oil free" foundations I've tried. No acne breakouts so far. It lasts all day on me, from early morning before work, to the time I wash it off, and I have a oily t-zone. So if you have very sensitive skin and can't seem to find anything that works, try this brand. If you like heavy coverage, this is buildable with a foundation brush, but if you need heavy foundation in my opinion, your skin is trying to tell you something! I have yet to try Lorac's other products in her line, but definitely will now.

A kind salesgirl at Sephora suggested we try LORAC Breakthrough Performance Oil Free Anti Aging foundation. My daughter was suffering with super dry sensitive skin from some medication she was on. The SA at Sephora suggested LORAC, 1 because it came in the lightest shade. She is porcelain white and needed makeup in that shade. And 2 it works great on dry skin. It does not make your skin more dry. In fact for anyone on the boards askinig for a foundation for dry skin, Hands down this is the best if you suffer with dry flaky itchy sensitive skin. It was wonderfful for her.

If you are looking for a foundation that blends nicely and does not look like you are wearing make up.... this is it.

It does not cover acne or scars super well. It tends to cover lightly. If you want a heavy coverage avoid this one. It is not for you. This is a light foundation with a powder soft finish. It goes on fairly smooth and takes a few minutes to really dry. Not fast drying like Revlons Colors Stay or fast like ELDW.

Recently while doing my own new search for a new foundation, I tried this Lorac. The shade 1 porcelain is a little too light for me. I normally wear NC20, Bone in ELDW and 104 in Clarins. I need to pick up the next shade up maybe 2 or 3. Undertone yellow.

Does it last?

Not the way some cosmetics do, but it is great on skin. It make my skin feel healthy. I am in my 40s and I need all the moisture and gentleness I can find.

This foundation is great if your skin is healthy on the dry side and needing that extra moisture. It is not for girls who are oily or combo skin. It is not going to last on people with lots of oil producing glands.. In fact I would say your foundation will just slide right off your face. One negative is that the shade options are very limited. If you are multi racial, latina or asian you might be frustrated with the 7 shade options.

It is not cheap. I guess it is one of the more healthy foundation it is probably worth the $40 a bottle. The pump dispenser is perfect.

I plan to get this in the darker shade. Is it my HG? No still searching for the elusive HG.

I liked this foundation for the Winter because my skin tends to be more dry then. It's very fluid and feels moisturizing. The coverage is light to medium. Medium on the lighter side. The color is nice. It matched my skin. I am between a mix of olive and yellow tone so I can wear both neutral and yellow based foundations. I get a little bit oily around my t-zone so by about mid day, the foundation has completely sheer around my nose and chin. It does rub on everything. I usually set it with a powder to try to make it last a little longer but it'll still get pretty oily by mid day. This is the first liquid foundation I've tried that did not break me out though. It does feel very nice and goes on pretty nicely. I don't think there's any smell to the foundation because I didn't smell any. The retractable pump is nice. Although sometimes when I push on the pump, it retracted the pump back inside instead. That didn't bother me much.

I don't think I would purchase this again because I like to have a fuller coverage during the winter. I would like this for the coverage during the summer but I get really oily in the summer so it would only get worst (picture makeup melting off face, yuck!).

UGH. I wanted to love this product, even with high price tag, but it just broke me out all over! I thought the ingredients would be perfect for my sensitive skin, but turns out it was actually just disastrous. I only used this for a day and now I have little annoying breakouts all over my face. And for the coverage/look, it sucked too! All the colors are off/too light/yellow and they never blend in to look like real skin! So sad this sucked because now I have to go make yet another embarrassing cosmetic return.

I love this foundation! This was my first high end brand foundation that I bought besides MAC after trying many foundation samples from Sephora. This one stuck out to me because it did NOT break me out unlike Makeup Forever and MAC did. This foundation feels like I am putting creamy, silky lotion all over my face and leaves a nice dewey finish. The pump is really convenient also. This foundation cost $38 dollars, but I have been using it almost everday for the past 5 months and still have plenty left. This foundation also claims to be antiaging, which is always a plus!!

I can't believe other reviewers are comparing this to a TM. I've been using primarily TMs or light-coverage makeup for about 10 years and was looking for something with more substantial coverage when I bought this and to me it's medium to heavy. It's not sheer at all and I definitely look like I'm wearing foundation.

I got this in Fair and almost always wear the 2nd up from lightest foundation in any brand. The first time I put this on I looked like a ghost (my SO even made fun of me) because it was sooo light. However, I've found that once it settles into my skin after a few minutes it's exactly the right color for my winter skin. (I'm fair but not pale and neither warm nor cold - my skin color is very neutral. I can't wear any makeup that's too warm without looking washed out.) In the summer I'd definitely need the next shade up.

I like the finish on this a lot. It covers all my blemishes and ruddy patches. It makes me look like I have flawless skin. It's not overly dewy nor does it enhances line and pores. I can definitely feel it on my face, but I like the way it feels on my 40 year-old skin (kind of cushiony.) It stays put but is blendable when I put it on.

I've tried applying this in a few different ways - with fingers (goes on very heavy), with fingers then buffed out with a dense mineral powder brush (medium coverage), and with a foundation brush (light coverage). I do find it works best with a primer underneath.

I love the packaging and find a lot goes a long way. A full pump is way too much; about half to 3/4 is perfect.

This is my first Lorac purchase and was very pleased with the performance of this foundation. I was looking for something similar to mac face and body which I tried and loved but broke me out terribly. This foundation lasted longer and has a little better coverage, and it blurs my fine lines. I use sms2 and I am nw20 in mac. Also I have super sensitive skin and react to everything but this is feeling super light and no breakouts. Update:Alright been a few weeks and this is breaking me out. I can no longer deny it. I wish I could find something exactly like this that doesn't break me out. I'm gonna try mixing this with something else. Why oh why!!

After almost 1 month of using I'm still on the fence with this foundation. My skin has been super dry this winter because of the frigid temps. and I thought this would give me a moisturized, dewy look. On it's own this is in no way moisturizing enough for my skin. In fact it accentuates the dry areas and it is very hard to blend. I need to use a lot of moisturizer and then apply one area at a time because for me there is not enough "slip" and I feel it drying before I can get it blended enough. It provides light to medium coverage and it looks like most of the shades have yellow undertones. It does even out my blotchy skin tone and doesn't look heavy. I use only 1 pump per day which is a pea-sized amount, yet I am still going through the product faster than other foundations I've used. If you use 2 or more pumps per day I don't see this lasting past a month. The bottle itself is nice because it has a hygienic pump and you can really see how much product is left, but the pump does get stuck sometimes. For a $36 price point I still prefer Tarte Smooth Operator. It has similar coverage, moisturizes my skin and is really easy to blend. Plus the bottle lasts a lot longer.

I love it, it goes on evenly, stays on, doesn't look cakey. It kind of covers most things, except my red cheeks. It needs to be set with a powder or it will feel greasey (like a cream foundation from MAC. haha), I use Mineral Veil from Bare Minerals. Not always, but sometimes I use a concealer for blemishes and my bags, I like Booing from Benefit.

I'll definitely give this a 10 out of 10 for color. For me it's easy to shop for foundation because I always need the lightest color, but some foundations are still slightly darker than my skin. This matched my skin perfectly and gave it a satin finish. It lasts a good amount of time, but I only put it on my t-zone as I find it makes my cheeks a bit greasy.

This foundation is really nice. I've tried Cargo (wet/dry), Smashbox, Revlon photo Ready, Lancome, MAC and this is my favorite so far. It gives me a "perfect" skin look. I get a ton of compliments on my skin "as is" (so grateful for that!) and I like how this gives a picture perfect look.

As a Foundation junkie (I have tons), I will rate this one a 4 in the category of Satin finish, medium coverage foundation for Normal to dry skins. This is not a foundation for acne prone or Oily folks. It's oil free but has emollients in it to give you a satin finish to the skin, not matte. I typically wear long wearing, full coverage foundations. But now that my skin is looking nice (Ladies, skin first, makeup second), this makeup is perfect for everyday, running errands etc. I found that it evened out my skin tone, covered some redness but with blemishes, you will still need a concealer. I also use a finishing powder on my t-zone as I'm combo skinned. For winter this is a great foundation to stay hydrated. In summer, I'm afraid that once the humidity and heat hit, this probably will be too oily for me as that's when my T-zone oiliness kicks in.
I am wearing SM2. I think it's a half shade darker than my skintone but SM1 was very Pale. Overall, decent foundation but I would not buy it again as there are others out there that are better and less expensive.

I absolutely LOVE this foundation! I had never found a foundation I liked before this one - they either bring attention to the dry skin on my nose, or make me look like some creepy doll or something... Bleh. Until this one! Compliments received included "radiant" and "effervescent"... This for a girl with constantly pimply/blotchy red skin! You can still see your own skin under it (this is really important to me) but it evened out my color and looked great. I wore it with some bronzer and a powder to set it, and had to add a little powder later in the day because I'd been running around and it was tipping a little too far to oily for my taste, and then it continued to look great.

The only problem... It isn't non comedogenic. Bleh. I wasn't planning on using it everyday anyway, but of course I got really excited when I first bought it and wore it several days in a row, and my skin did seem to get a little worse but that could also be explained by the stress, lack of sleep, and the blizzard I trekked through, so it's hard to say. Even if it was the fault of the foundation like I said it's worth it for those days when I want something extra, although I personally don't think great looking skin everyday is worth making your actual skin worse off.

Tried it at the store. It sunk into my pores and as others said, it looked chalky because it grabbed onto dry patches. Color match, #3 seemed to work for me and it was a good color match. I don't think I will purchase this product because my skin looked noticeably irritated the next day - many little red spots under the skin...

I thought it was expensive but I would buy it again if it's within my budget. It it a lightweight foundation that doesn't break me out. It provides sheer coverage yet covers any redness from uneven skin tone. I have some acne scars, so for flawless coverage I may use a bit of concealer for that. It is best used with powder over it. Skin type: I have combination skin and may break out if the product isn't right for me.

This foundation resembles a tinted moisturizer in my opinion. I bought the shade SMS-4 (medium). Like with other Lorac foundations, it does have yellow hues in it-eventhough the website states that this shade is the non-yellow based one? Anyway, the color itself is a tad bit too light for me which is okay as I can darken it w/ bronzer. The product blends easily and works great w/ just your fingertips. Like I mentioned, the coverage is sheer and won't cover imperfections. You'll need a good concealer w/ this. The consistancy is very moisturizing! Unless you are very dry, I wouldn't advise putting on a facial cream under this. I'm combo/oily and used my Clinique DDMG under this and within 2 hours, my whole face was shiny. With my experience, I have to blot my whole face frequently with this foundation which is a big hassle. I do like the fact that this foundation feels weightless and I experienced no breakouts from this (2 great points about Lorac foundations) :) However, if I didn't have to blot 10x a day, I would definitely use this more. Even with no moisturizer, this was way too moisterizing for me. I won't be repurchasing.
