Greasy! Greasy greasy greasy. I have oily skin, and this product made me so shiny I looked like an oil slick, and powder didn't even help. Also, the smell was very unpleasant! Yeah there's a hint of lavender, but there is something else there that is strong and gross. It dried super fast, leaving me with streaks, and the color did not look natural. I returned this as soon as I could get back to the store.

Pros:
-All natural
-Light fragrance
Cons:
-Would not blend well
-Too dark for my fair complexion
-Very sheer and seemed watery even after shaking bottle
-Did not cover up my mild redness
Overall, it theoretically seemed like a great idea, but didn't give me the results I desired and it is not the right product for me.

I got this on clearance for two bucks and some change, willing to give it a shot since there's some still cold weather to come in my state. Much to my dismay, my bad luck with TMs continues.

I already knew I wouldn't get full coverage from this, it being a tinted moisturizer and all. But it did provide a decent sheer amount of coverage. This matched my skin when I first put it on, then oxidized. It didn't turn orange, but more of a bronzed color (no, I didn't get the bronzer by mistake). This occurred with the two types of application I tried: Flat top powder brush and hands.

The consistency is some how thick but still watery. Some people may like this, but I'm not a fan. I've also read that this smells like lavender for a lot of folks. Mine had a strong chemical smell to it, despite being organic. I could also smell something unpleasantly citrus-y. It honestly reminded me of lemon scented surface cleaners. The smell did fade, but it's so overpowering at first that it worries me a little. I didn't give this an all day test run, so I can't comment on skin aggravation.

I don't plan on repurchasing this mainly because it oxidized a noticeably darker color than my skin. But since it kind of turned a bronze color, and not orange, I might try patting some on my cheeks and see how that works so it doesn't go to waste.

EDIT: Forgot to mention - after putting this on and washing off what was left on my hands, the product that touched the sink left a strange film like nothing else I have ever used. I really hope I just got a bad tube.

First impression: This thing must have had some kind of natural reaction in the tube because the third time I opened it, a whole bunch shot out and it was kind of bubbling.

Use: I like to use this under my powder foundation and the two combined (I use PF Healthy Wear SPF 50 in Translucent Medium) give me the most natural look. The coloring is just right, the formula is quite watery but that makes it easy to blend into your skin, coverage is minimal and only evens out your skin tone as advertised, it has SPF 15, comes with 1.5 fl oz/44ml of product, and is "100% free of harsh chemicals, parabens, and synthetic preservatives". Basically, if you're into all natural products, you will love this because it's certified organic. The directions say to shake before use, and I definitely recommend doing this because it does tend to get separated easily.

I do like this tinted moisturizer. It's light, liquidy and very sheer coverage. If feels nice on the skin and easy to apply. It does not offer much coverage so good if u have quite good skin. I need to set with a powder so it won't feel sticky. It is good to be used as a makeup base since it's natural and won't irritate the skin. The tube will last me a while and if I don't want to wear any make up I will just apply this by itself as a sunscreen but it does feel better than most sunscreens. Overall a good product with reasonable price.

I tried this product out with reservations after having read the reviews but also after wandering around CVS reading the ingredient lists of other foundations/tinted moisturizers for half an hour. I'm a firm believer in the power of using pure vegetable oils (jojoba, shea, apricot) on the face and body as I have very dry skin. So the natural oils in this moisturizer was very appealing to me.

I actually do like this product but it has some problems. The packaging leaves a bit too be desired; it is too thin a consistency to be put into a squeeze tube. A pump or just a glass bottle would have been much better and if I can find a small bottle to transfer this into I surely will. Secondly, oh my lord the smell of lavender is just way way too strong. It's almost medicinal. Putting it on is like shoving your face in a bowl of potpourri. Thankfully, as far as I can tell this fades within the first few minutes of it drying.

Now, this moisturizer spreads on like a very thin lotion or serum and it does require more product than what I am used to using with my old Maybelline Pure. But, it sits very light on the face and feels quite light and smooth. I set it with a tad of translucent mineral powder to take off any shininess the oil gives it although given the oils used this would probably go away on its own after the oils absorb but I'm impatient. It gives a very light coverage. It's not going to completely conceal any acne though it will take an edge off the redness of any bumps. But for skin that rarely breaks out, it is quite adequate and a dab of concealer would cover any deficiencies. And I swear, it's exactly the right shade for my skin. Blends in perfectly, which is very rare. I usually have to dilute with sunscreen or add a spot of darker classic ivory Mary Kay foundation to what I'm using.

So I would buy this again but I wish Physicians Formula would add a bit more thickness to the formula, change the packaging, and get rid of the overpowering lavender smell.

Edit: On closer inspection my tube bought at CVS in 08/11, had an expiration date of 12/09, which may explain the unusually strong medicinal smell of lavender.

Moisturizer - It is not an adequate moisturizer in the cooler months, but I simply put another layer under it and it works just fine.

Coverage - The coverage is light to moderate and it has a very dewy finish.

Color - My skin is on the warmer side, so I can't say if it is excessively yellow. Sadly, this is usually too dark for my skin. I can get away with it during the summer, but it is the lightest shade and still too dark for my winter skin.

Other - It doesn't break me out and I find the smell pleasant. It would be my HG if they offered a lighter shade! Bottom line is this is not an exact match for my face, but I really like the formula.

The reviewer that reported this product being orange is very right. It's not bad-bad, but it's a bit startling. I found if you set it with a dusting of powder, it counteracts it. Overall, it's wearable but I won't be buying it again.

I have pretty clear skin. No acne. Usually no outrageous redness unless it's "hormone" time. I have yellow undertones and I didn't find this too pink but not really yellow either. I do have very oily skin in the summer so I probably wouldn't wear this when I'm out in the sun. But, I do like it because I find that it evens out what redness I do have without sucking the natural coloring from my cheeks. It performs really well in the fall and winter when my skin dries out a bit. When I wipe my makeup off at night I am pleasantly surprised to see this product was still on my face. The smell probably isn't for everyone and one could possibly even have a reaction to it, but I do enjoy the scent and I feel good about putting the organic ingredients on my face since I'm always looking for ways to cut back on unnatural ingredients.

I have drier skin in winter and since I don't need a full-coverage foundation I pull out my TM and use instead. I like this product and have repurchased twice since first trying it. It evens out my complexion, the lightest shade is perfect for my skin tone, and I love the slight lavender scent that it has, and bonus its made with organic ingredients. Its easy to find, not terribly expensive, not compared to say Laura Mercier's TM. And I like that it doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything. Try this and you might be surprised.

I bought this a while back on sale and shoved it to the back of my stash. Recently my skin's been drier and I've been trying tinted moisturizers again. I even took the plunge and bought the infamous Laura Mercier oil free TM.

I have to say, while I prefer the LM's coverage and it matches my skin better, I prefer the feel of this on my skin. I have dry skin but the LM (OIL FREE VERSION!!) makes me feel oily and greasy, even set with my PF mineral wear powder (I always use this by the way, great product - in the summer it's my foundation).

Back to this, I wish it had a pump and I wish they went a little lighter with their colors. Darker too actually b/c while it doesn't effect me, there's a lot of skin tones that cannot use PF and that's unfortunate because I think they make great products.

The smell that everyone comments on - I like it. It's lavender, which isn't for everyone, but I find it calming. And it doesn't last. I don't see how people find it to smell medicinal. Maybe theirs is spoiled! I have noticed alot of places selling very, very old batches. I went to buy one at CVS in September of 2010 and the expiration on it was 2008! So make sure you're checking that before you buy, everyone. It is made with organic materials and those have a shelf life.

All in all, I will buy this again. I'm alternating between this and the LM but honestly am using this more often despite it being less of a good color match and needing to use more concealer simply because the LM feels so stink' heavy.

I've tried a lot of TM and i keep coming back to this one. It does a great job evening out my skin while still looking natural. Gives you a nice dewy finish. The color works great on me too, for reference at Mac I've worn NC15.

I have really dry skin though so i always apply my real moisterizer first, let it sink in, and this on top. I like that, unlike a lot of foundation, it doesn't accentuate my dry skin and give me flakes.

I bought this while I was in Canada and I really wanted something to slightly even out my very pink complexion. This DOES have color and slightly evens out my complexion but I expected more coverage. For my undereyes, if I put some of this under the Benefit Boi-Ing Concealer I get flawless coverage :D But the concealer is my cousin's, who lives in Canada, so I am concealerless -.-

Anyways, I went to Shoppers DrugMart Looking for a tinted moisturizer. Gosh, they were expensive there! I got this for about $18. At Wal-Mart here in the U.S. it's like $10 or less. But whatever.
This is EXTREMELY runny and it dries VERY quickly. Blend fast. I usually apply it with a damp cosmetic wedge/sponge but sometimes I apply it with the Mineral Powder/Bronzer EcoTool brush (the one that comes in a set with a mini kabuki, concealer brush, etc.) It dries to a natural matte finish but I set it with powder anyway.. That's my normal face routine.

I'd recommend this to someone with great skin and very minor to no flaws.

I have mentioned this before in other reviews, but I am not a liquid foundation type person, I just don't like the heavy look and feel of it. I always go with powder or mineral foundation instead. But I had never bought a tinted moisturizer before and was interested in trying one. This one caught my eye because of the natural ingredients and Ivory to Fair sounded like it would be great for my pale complexion.
To me this product smells like what sunscreen smelled like when I was a kid, when it dries it smells like lavender. It doesn't smell fantastic, but at least I know it's not full of chemicals. It evens out my complexion a little, but doesn't cover all flaws, however that's not a big deal because I knew it wouldn't. That can be fixed with a little concealer where needed. The problem I have with this is that it ends up looking orange. My mother even commented that I looked like I was wearing more makeup than usual, when I was trying to be wearing less! I'm going to take this back to Shoppers Drug Mart for a refund.

I really wanted this product to be my holy grail of tinted moisturizers, but, alas, I am still on the hunt.

The consistency is VERY strange. I applied it with my hands and dotted it around my face, as soon as I did this I was beating the clock trying to rub it into my face because I feel as though it dried VERY quickly and was left my face feeling weirdly sticky and not soft AT ALL.

I don't understand how no one has commented on how sticky this thing is!

I decided to give this a try when I found it for $2 thinking, what did I have to lose besides $2? I heard alot of great things about the product and have been getting back into wearing liquid makeup after 6 months of powder foundation only. The first two things I noticed when I squeezed some out of the tube were; 1, the consistency. This is EXTREMELY runny. And 2, the SMELL. It smells like bug spray, and then dries down to a lavender scent. This really put me off because the smell of lavender will either give me a headache or make me nauseous 99% of the time, however when I actually wore this I didn't have any issues.

That being said, I actually liked this product for the most part when I applied it. It goes on very smoothly (I smooth this on with my fingers and blend out with a foundation brush) and gives very natural looking medium coverage. I did need some spot coverage in a few areas but if you don't have any blemishes or obvious discoloration you could probably get away without concealer. I typically never apply liquid makeup to my nose because I have some small pores and blackheads that end up making my nose look like the surface of the moon when I put anything but powder over it, but this actually looked very smooth and didn't accentuate any pores.

The finish is definitely dewey (but not shimmery at all) and the foundation feels very...moist, after it's applied. It doesn't really set and still feels kind of wet to the touch. I added a light dusting of powder and didn't have any issues with this sliding around but I was inside in the AC, if it was very hot or humid or if I was going to be outside I have a feeling the lasting power wouldn't be as good.

Now, my only real complaint is the color. I'm extremely pale (I wear "Pale" in NYX foundations and my Silk Naturals mix is about 12 scoops Ivory to 1 scoop Ebony) so I wasn't expecting an exact color match. What bothers me is that the tone of this is ORANGE. It doesn't look bad when I first squeeze it out of the tube, but once it sets, it's orange. I can get around this by using my NYX Twin Cake on top to tone down the orange and lighten it a bit, but it's kind of a hassle. I don't understand at all why companies make foundations with orange tones. Hello, how many people do you know with naturally orange skin? None! Maybe this would work better for someone who's skin is closer to the "light" part of the spectrum than "ivory" or "fair", but if you're downright pale like me, you'll probably want to pass on this.

I was suprised at how much I liked this after reading the not so good reviews on here. This is the first tinted moisturizer I have ever used. I hate liquid foundations because I can never find a good color match and they are either too cakey or don't last on my skin. The color match with this was really good and (I'm NC15). Although it doesn't have a lot of coverage it evened out my skintone really well and I just use concelar on the areas that need extra coverage. When I first put it on it looks prettty oily and shiny but once it sinks in a bit and I set it with powder its perfect. I just love how lightweight it is and I can skip regular moisturizer because this is moisturizing enough in the summer and it has spf 15=) It does smell kinda weird but it doesn't bother me, it reminds me of lavender oil and after I apply it the smell is gone. I wish it lasted a little longer on my skin but then again nothing really does. I like it and will repurchase.

update: just wanted ladies to know this is NOT discontinued. I say this after Rite Aid cut the price by %75 and then removed this product. I have called the company to confirm this is still being produced and now buy it on online. I love this TM, I get compliments all the time over the glow my skin has wearing this, it looks very natural and wears really well. LOVE IT!!!!!
-------

I really like this tinted moisturizer! I normally do not like them at all, They tend to be tinted in terms of color but past a sheer wash do nothing. This gives nice medium coverage and makes my pores vanish - something most foundations don't do. The scent makes my eyes burn a bit which is odd but does not really bother me. and I don't mind the way it smells. The colors are good but on the dark side of the sticker they show you. i am very pleased about how natural this looks and wears during the day. It does not crease in lines or wear off over problem areas. I do use concealer if I need to, the same as foundations and it is a good base.
