I got a sample of this and liked it but i think i regret purchasing it. It leaves some sort of oil slicky, tacky, residue on your hands till it completely absorbs, not like a traditional lotion or sunscreen( it has tons of added silicones thats the reason for the slick feel) try a sample and you'll know what i mean. It does have a stable spf 30 and a PPD of 8 but its very expensive for what you get. i dont appreciate that all the healthy oils are at the bottom of the ingredients list and the parabens above them, wtf kiehl's i thought they were about more natural things?? anyway the coconut scent isnt bothersome to me but i dont like that they added fragrance to it, you can smell slight sunscreen after the coconut dissipates. Avonezone and Octocrylene make a stable sunscreen but since ss is something that needs to be applied liberally i dont think this is the most economical option. Will not repurchase.

Active: Avobenzone (3%), Octisalate (5%), Octocrylene (7%),

Other: Water, Isononyl Isononanoate, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Diisopropyl Sebacate, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Sucrose Tristearate, Polysorbate 61, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Phenoxyethanol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Panthenol, Fragrance, Caprylyl Glycol, Triethanolamine, Carbomer, Methylparaben, Dimethiconol, Xanthan Gum, Disodium Edta, Butylparaben, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Butter, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Coumarin

I've repurchased this so many times over the last few years. It's my everyday lotion for days when I'm not going to be out in direct sunlight for any length of time. In spring and summer when more of my skin is exposed I wear an spf of at least 55. But otherwise this is my anytime pick. I wear spf even in winter or with layers of clothing (because clothes only provide a minimal amount of spf protection) and this works perfectly.

It has a silky smooth texture that absorbs really well. Feels very moisturizing and doesn't leave any sort of residue. I dislike a lot of spf body lotions because they feel uncomfortable, like there's something sitting on top of my skin. This feels so luxurious that I actually like wearing it. There's a faint sunscreen type of fragrance but it's not obnoxious and it fades after a few minutes. I switch up my body products often and this is one of my only must-haves. Now if only they'd make one with a much higher spf!

I'm surprised there aren't more body lotion or cream options out there with sun protection...especially with the boom of SPF being added in to skincare and cosmetics. The few I've found and tried are always lacking in something...not moisturizing enough, uncomfortable feel or finish, too little SPF, unpleasant scent...etc. Kiehl's version is pretty close to perfect. Hydrating, sinks in well enough so that I can get dressed quickly without my clothes getting stuck to my skin, SPF30, no residue...the one thing that may bother some is the beachy coconut fragrance that's added. On my skin, it's pretty tame but depending on your chemistry the scent can be strong. I live and work in the city and walk outdoors often, and I use this as my daily moisturizer...for everyday, it's provided me with the hydration and sun protection I need. I don't know how adequate this would perform for prolonged sun exposure...the summer heat is right around the corner - I'll post an update later on. For now, I give this a thumbs up!

I love this lotion! I am very fair and it's very important for me to wear SPF daily to protect my skin. This has UVA and UVB protection and I appreciate that it's SPF 30. It's lightweight and absorbs well. It's super pricey for me, but I will probably repurchase.

I love this lotion. I use the Creme de Corp creme after my shower, but when I'm heading out, I will apply the SPF lotion. It is a good SPF 30, which is more than I can ask for in a lotion that is very lightweight, lightly scented, and absorbs very quickly. If you have dry skin, I would use the creme and layer the SPF over it. The SPF lotion is very light, and great for the summer, but if you suffer from very dry skin, I'm not sure that this product would be able alleviate that problem. This smells kind of like coconuts, very tropical--it reminds me of my vacation. This isn't waterproof, so I wouldn't recommend it for swimming or outdoor activities. It's really just an everyday SPF lotion to protect your skin. It is expensive, about 35 USD :( But I will repurchase, there isn't another lightweight lotion out there that smells tropical and isn't greasy.

At first I didnt like the smell of it, I thought it's too sweet. But now, I dont know why, I enjoy it.
I think it's very nice for summer: moisturizer + sunblock.

I must say, I am in love with this potent sunblock/moisturizer combination. I'm terrified of sun damage after way too many summers w/o any sort of sunblock, so I have been looking around for a 2-in-1 deal that would give me the protection and the moisture I seek during the hot summer months - without that terrible s/s smell or grease. Thanks to Kiehl's my search is over! This CdC sinks beautifully into the skin, and waltzing around NYC in my slinkiest summer dresses I have yet to get any obvious color. I wore it during a Vegas trip, and even in the hot sun I didn't even get close to a burn. It definitely helps prevent any tanning, this is serious SPF we're talking about here. There is a definite coconut smell, but it isn't obnoxious and does fade after half an hour. I just wish it came in a larger bottle, but otherwise I am a happy customer and have no qualms buying this again and again.

Love the regular Creme de Corps, so I jumped at the chance to buy the lightweight version with sunscreen - I figured it would be perfect for daytime. I find that they are two very different lotions, but not in the sense I had hoped for. One is the smell. The unscented CdC is perfect for perfume-lovers. This product has a strong, loud too-sweet coconut frag, which I personally detest b/c I feel like a tourist. All that's missing is the cheaply-made LOUD Hawaiian print outfit with the straw hat. I also find that it does not get absorbed into my skin very nicely (not like CdC), so you get a little sweaty and find this disgusting mess on your arms (even if you apply sparingly). No thanks. It's been months since I picked up this product and it's still almost full. I'm passing it to my mom (who has much drier skin than me and also loves coconut).

I just moved to California and decided that I need to wear SPF daily on my arms, chest, and legs if they were showing. I tried a few different ones, but this is the best!

It sinks in to the skin without feeling greasy or tacky. The texture is why I love it - not thick or hard to spread.

I love the smell- its coconutty and fades through the day, and the bottle is so pretty.. you will not be disapointed by this one! I will re buy again and again.

I have been looking for a daily lotion with sunscreen and this one is great. I have previously tried Alba daily lotion with sunscreen which is good but I like the texture of the Kiehls better. It sinks in a leaves skin soft and smooth. I like the coconut fragrance and do not find it overwhelming. Ever since my dermatologist recommended daily sunscreen I have been looking for a good product I could stick with- and this is it! I just wish they made a larger size with a pump.

This felt really good on my skin. Nourish is the word. With SPF 30 UVA+UVB protection. What more can I ask for from a body lotion? This is exactly why I bought the product. This would have been perfect, but the coconut smell got into me after two days and I realized no matter how great this product is, the scent is not for me. If you don't mind the smell of coconut, this is a good buy for a two-in-one moisturizer and sunblock.

This version of cdc is not available here in Singapore, so I managed to obtain this from Kiehls USA.

To me, it is always a hit-or-miss when it comes to Kiehls. I love their original CDC and this one is a mirror image of its big sister sans waiting time. Really luxurious and silky on the skin and sinks fast. My biggest gripe is after 2 hours, it gave me the biggest RASH and HIVE. The skin it came in contact with, my whole arms and legs, broke into big red rash that does not stop itching. I wash my skin immediately after this but the rash and itching just becomes worst, it forms into humongous bumps more like bites from big ants.

I hate to be the minority here but my experience is really horrible. I have used so many different brands of lotions and moisturizers before and this is my very first time ever to encounter allergic reaction. It's severe. Never buy this product without asking for a trial size first.

The best sunscreen ever! I have very fair skin and live in California and use sunscreen everyday all year on my face, neck, chest and arms. This smells amazing like coconuts, and goes on light, feels just like a moisturizer, not at all like a sunscreen. Just for your body, I have never tried it on my face, I think it would be to moisturizing. Kind of expensive but well worth it!

Great everyday sunscreen! I have extremely fair skin and this does provide nice protection when running around town. I like the fact it is not sticky, soaks in quickly, and smells fabulous. I also have not had an allergic reaction to this, and I have very sensitive skin.
I think I paid $25 for an 8oz bottle--which seems more than fair considering it is effective and pleasant to use.

I bought this lotion last summer, and I love it! I'm very fair and freckle easily, and I'm trying to keep my skin sunspot- and wrinkle-free. This lotion kept my chest and shoulders from burning, even when I was out sailing! I've had a hard time finding lotions with broad-spectrum UV protection, so even though this cost a bit more than I'd usually spend (I'm a student, and this is about $20 for 8 ounces), I willingly forked over the cash. Aside from protecting my skin from sun, this lotion is a good moisturizer and I love the smell- it's creamy and coconutty. I would definitely repurchase.

I wanted to add this version of the lightweight Creme de Corps as its own product. I love the original Creme, but when I picked this as one of my free samples with my last Kiehls order, I fell in love. I've been looking for a lighter-weight lotion, but I really want something with SPF (my family has a history of skin cancer, and I'm very fair skinned). I immediately ordered a full-size bottle. It's great moisturization, but not greasy, and it has a pleasant, mild smell. I really love it.
