I really like this night cream, although it's a bit heavy for my normal skin. The smell is devine and the texture really nice. I'm not a big fan of Lancome's skin care products but this one cought my attention. My skin looks great in the morning, really moisturised and fresh. My expression lines seem to look smoother and less noticeable. I don't like the package. I think for this price Lancome should give us a more luxurius packaging.

I have been using this cream for a few years now and it is my holy grail night cream, every time I try something new I just keep coming back to this one. I'm not sure if the wonderous results I initially got from this product continued after a year of using but it's always reliable in keeping my skin smooth and radiant in the morning. It is a little heavy and greasy like other reviewers have said to use in humid weather but I've brought it to beach resorts with me and it hasn't caused any issues at all. The cream is very healing for acne scars or red irritated skin!!

I honestly really liked this cream. It's not a miracle product that significantly diminishes wrinkles, but as others have said it works to prevent wrinkles. It gave me just the right amount of moisture, and my skin feels recharged after a night's sleep. The major con: it doesn't come cheap!

I really like the texture and smell of this product and it definitely did a very good job at keeping my skin moisturized. It also seemed to give me clogged pores on my nose, which I never ever have...it was weird, I do sometimes get break outs, which this product did not aggravate at all and was in fact quite soothing for my skin overall, but every time I would use it the pores on my nose would become more noticeably clogged and oily. I am giving it a 3 because I think the moisturizer is good and would work well for some, it just did not suit me at all.

**UPDATE*** 6/27/2010
although I originally said this heavy cream was too much for humid nights.. I decided to stick to it for a couple of months -- and I am finally seeing a difference!! Although it's heavy, greasy and over fragranced for me (more like a greasy mess on my acne-prone face.. but didn't break me out), it really does it's job!

my skin looks a lot healthier, more radiant, even-toned and my smile lines look a lot less prominent!

the downside is, I had to use it for a couple of months to really see the results. I removed one lippy because of it's greasiness.

-------------------------------------------------------------

11/29/2009

Pros:
- doesn't break me out
- moisturizes fully - solves all my winter flakiness
- I don't need to put on much for it to moisturize my skin
- flakiness was gone within one night
- great for winters, but probably not in the summer!
- did not irritate acne

Cons:
- beware, if you live in humid places this might be too greasy for you
- despite every reviewer's comment on that "initial" greasiness.. the greasiness stayed no matter how long i rubbed it into my skin
- I am not a big fan of that Lancome fragrance, it caught me by surprise since I haven't used their skincare products for awhile
- feels heavy on the skin, a real cream

Overall, I don't see any dramatic difference in my skin, it's not anymore "radiant" or "uniform" or "healthier" as it reads on the lancome website. It moisturizes, and that's about it. I think you can find better, less greasy and expensive ways to moisturize your skin.

I purchased this product along with the day time moisturizer and have been pleased with both. I've been using these products for over a year now and my skin has kept nice and smooth without any break outs. The night skin recharge is very moisturizing yet absorbs quickly. It feels a little greasy immediately after application, but that goes away after a few minutes. It does have a light fragrance, but nothing overwhelming. I usually apply just a few times a week since I don't like sleeping with product on my face. When I do use it, my face looks radiant and well moisturized in the morning. It's a very good night cream and I would recommend it.

THE BEST !

A little pricey..but what good quality department store moisturizer isn't ?

Evens my skin tone out, takes care of the dryness.. not too heavy for me at all..really sinks in to my skin..

I've repurchased this 2 times already..and on my way to buying a 3 rd tub.

hmm..seems to stop working/or not work as much after you use it for a while.
Okay, So I've been using this for almost a year now..and it still makes my skin look beautiful..but now I'm on the prowl for something that will even out my skin tone better

This is the first time I bought a full-size cream from Lancome. I tried many Lancome skincare samples and they just did not suit my oily acne-prone skin.

(+)
light, sinks in quickly
moisturizing enough for oily skin
next morning wake up with soft skin and not oily (this depends on where you live i.e. when I'm in the UK my skin is surprisingly matte the next morning but if I'm in Asia, it's still a little oily)
better than Darphin Arovita C cream

(-)
does not give a matte finish
quite expensive

I tried the Primordiale line based on all the good reviews here. Like another reviewer said, I can't believe I'm using skincare by Lancome! In the past, I've used products by Clarins, Dr. Perricone, Dr. Denese and Peter Thomas Roth. I still use some of PTR's unwrinkle products such as his Unwrinkle Pads and neck serum. However, I'm totally blown away by the night cream and day cream in this formulation. My skin has never glowed like this and its texture is so-o-o soft and hydrated! I don't know if it's the biotin (which is a mineral) in the product or what. I had a cold last week and the night cream healed the irritated skin just under my nose. It also stopped the itching and calmed a couple of spots of eczema I had developed during the winter. Last but not least, I've shocked a couple of younger women when they asked me my age! This cream gives you a glow and calms your skin like nothing else I've tried. And my skin is ultra sensitive!

I did like this when I started using it a week ago. It plumped up my skin and made it feel moisturized without being greasy. I was excited to see that petrolatum and mineral oil were two ingredients yet skeptical that this could moisturize without clogging pores. One week later, as I figured, my pores are clogged and my face stings because it is surprisingly dry all of the sudden. I am going back to my Intensive Moisture Balance with a few drops of Burt's Bee's ageless oil as my nighttime moisturizer. In addition, I didn't like the way lint and other particles quickly got into this jarred cream. Lastly, the fragrance, though fairly subtle, didn't jive with me either.

Wow! I call this my "magic cream" because it really is magical! I call this my Magic Creams because it soothes my skin, is never greasey, and I notice less lines around my face, and notice fewer pores. I would have never tried Lancome skin care because I always thought "they used a lot of perfumes in their makeup so they probably use a lot in their skincare"...but I was wrong! As I was getting tested for the right foundation shade, the SA removed my MU and asked if she could use a moisturizer, I said sure. She put this on, my face felt great, purchased the foundation and left. By the time I got home, I couldn't stop touching my face! My face alone felt great and was so smooth to the touch. I ran online to read more about it on their website and read the reviews here. To make a long story shorter, 3 days later I went back (would have went in earlier if I could!) and purchsed this and WOW...I am still in love! I have combination skin which has been more dry in the winter, and my skin is also sensitive, acne prone, prone to clogged pores, and I'm sensitive to scents. So....it is a real pain finding stuff that works for me. It has been 2 weeks and no breakouts, no clogged pores, my skin has a more even finish to it, and it is so soft! It leaves my skin moisturized and never greasy or too heavy feeling...which I thought maybe it would since it's in a jar and I'm just not used to being able to use 1) creams and 2) creams in jars. This cream has barely a scent to it, it isn't fragrance free but whatever scent it is, it is barely there and it does not bother me. This is my magic cream and I'm in love! I also have this in the day cream and like that, too. My skin just drinks this stuff up and I love the results! Also, I had been very sick and the skin under my nose was raw and not even aquaphor was helping....but I put some of this on it and within 1-2 days it was healed! I can't say enough about this stuff, I want to tell everyone I know about it because it really is that amazing! Such a gently product that really delivers and it helped soothe my skin that was a little irritated by the cold winds.

***EDIT*** Although I really love this cream, it seems it is irritating my rosacea! I'm very upset about this! Therefore, I am removing 2 lippies but I still feel very strongly about this and those w/o rosacea should definitely try it! Just a caution to those who have rosacea because it did irritate mine and I had to (sadly) discontinue use.

I purchased this about a week ago after receiving samples of the day cream from a S.A. I found the day cream to be a bit too heavy/greasy for my combo skin but don't mind a heavier cream at night. I've only been using this for roughly a week, samples included slightly longer.

I am very impressed by this skincream!!! I have good skin to begin with i.e. clear w/ only a rare breakout, aging well, etc. so I had never been too into night creams prior to this one but I wish I had bought it/known about it sooner. I can definitely tell a difference in my skin already. This does literally recharge my skin while I'm sleeping. I've noticed my skin is more glowy when I wake up. It's evened out my skintone a bit as well and faded a couple of spots I had on my face. It's also softened a couple of lines that were starting to develop.

I'm really amazed by what it's done for me in this short time and for this I can justify the $66.00 (U.S.) price tag. I've never spent so much on a skincare product but this has been worth it. I bought the 1.7 oz. IIRC and it takes very little when applying. I see my jar lasting quite a while at this rate but when I do finish it up I plan on re-purchasing.

If you have the $ to invest in your skin and a quality product then I highly recommend this night cream!

Love, love, love it! Great texture but the smell is a bit overwhelming. I can see a difference when I get up in the morning. Also saw that Sephora is selling this formula in a pump dispenser. That makes me even happier.

Fabulous stuff! I bought this cream in a gift set which included the Primordiale Skin Recharge with SPF 15. Since using the both together for several weeks now my skin is baby soft, hydrated, clear, and smooth. I will continue to use this although it is painfully expensive!

I'm not using it long enough (about 2 weeks now) to comment on anti-age effect.

PROS:
1. texture&smell
2. refreshes your skin and makes it smoother, without leaving oily residue
3. no breakouts, pimples, blackheads...

CONS:
1. price

Anyway, as all the other Lancome products, I'll gladly buy again when they stop using substances tested on animals

March 22th 2010 New update:

Been using this cream since 2008 summer time until now. Its been almost 2 years. One Jar last about 5 months for me. One of the best Lancome skin care product. Love everything except the expensive price tag!

Good Side:

1. Compare with many other night-creams, this one feel "very comfortable!!" Basically a fine silky cream-gel texture, very mild with lovely scent! The texture may feel rich at the first application, but it sink into my skin very fast.

2. I have very sensitive skin with acne problems, this night-cream calm my skin and making it even-tone, no redness and no skin-breakout.

3. Very good moisture for normal to dry skin! (Not enough for super dry skin tough!) My skin feel much softer and energize with healthy glow.

Bad Side:

1. The price is kinda rip-off! I'm referring the price in Canada. It was 86$ in 08, 88$ in 09, now...91$CND in 2010. I don't understand how Loreal company work. But many other department brandname products don't raise 5$CND in just 2 years. (Estee Lauder, Shiseido etc. I see them remain same price for over 4-5 yrs) With the economic going downward, its just bizzare the company raise so much price each single year.

2. The company claimed this can "retexture" your skin in 3 days! Now that is way too exaggerate. My skin is smoother yes, but my overall skin-pores/texture remain the same.

3. If you already have fine/expression lines, this cannot remove nor lighten it. This only "prevent" future lines or slow-down the skin aging process.

In conclusion. This is a good night-cream with minor prevent aging effect. Good for people who doesn't have serious fine-line problems. I've tried many other night-creams that leave my skin sticky and greasy, but this one doesn't.

However, due to the unreasonable price, I would ONLY recommand this night-cream to "People who have the money to invest on skin-care"! I'm going on my 5th Jar next week, but for alternative "cheaper" brand, I do switch to Burt's Bee naturally Ageless night-cream from time to time. Work as good, 1/3 the price, but more heavy, sticky with stronger scent then Primordiale.

I really wanted this to work, but unfortunately it didn't and only left me disappointed. I've been looking for a night cream that would moisturize and act against the wrinkles I'm starting to see on my face (I'm in my mid-20s, with combi skin), so I was looking forward to using this when I got it as a sample. After using this for a few nights in a row, I noticed dry and rough patches on parts of my face and horrors, even flakey skin. It was really puzzling, because the cream was so heavy and greasy, the last thing I'd expect was dehydrated skin. I stopped this for a few days and the rough patches went away. About a week later, I decided to give it another go again and this time, it broke me out. I've pretty much given up on this cream and I recently started using Eucerin's Hyaluron Filler wrinkle treatment for night, which I think is much, much better.

This night cream is wonderful. I got it as my BA gratis and it literally has changed my skin for the better. I have combo-oily skin as well as some large-ish pores over my nose, and some texture. In 2 weeks of using this my pores were minimized and my texture was gone! It also did not break me out or make me more oily. I got the day cream and serum as well and have been using them for about 7 months and have seen such an amazing difference in my skin. Totally worth a try, don't be afraid to try these products if you're oily!

I am posting the same review for this as I posted for the day cream. Here it is:

I never thought I would say this about any Lancome product, but I LOVE this moisturizer.
I have always had combo skin, oily t-zone and normal to dry cheeks. My problem area were always my pores and little red bumps on my forehead. For the last two years or so I have been searching for a product to reduce the bumps on my forehead. I have tried everything I could think of. I've used salicylic acid, glycolic acid, citric acid peel, face scrubs, clarisonic, retinol, and even oils. Nothing has helped. I was never stingy when it came to skincare and I've tried many different brands, both expensive and cheap. On September 8th, which was my birthday, I went shopping with a friend for my b-day present. My friend being very generous offered to buy me a set of cosmetics. I figured it was perfect since the weather is changing and I will need new stuff for the colder months. I stopped at Lancome just to look around, not intending to do much shopping at that counter. The saleslady told me her age and my jaw dropped. She is 38 years old and looks no older than 30. I was in shock and demanded she tell me her secret. She admitted that she doesn't do anything special, just stays very consistent in her routine and doesn't change products. Apparently, they work best when you use them consistently without interrupting the ritual with random products. She said that she has always used Lancome, but wasn't very pushy. She had nice things to say about other lines as well, but was confident that Lancome is a good brand.
I liked her non pushy attitude and decided on buying the Primoridiale Skin Recharge line. I got the day cream, night cream, and eye cream. I started using them twice a day every day and to my surprise and delight, the bumps on my forehead started to disappear. I have never seem such a dramatic change in my skin in such a short time. I am simply amazed at the results. My bumps are almost gone. I still have a few near the hairline, but it's about a 85% improvement. The pores on my nose stay looking clean, not many blackheads. Seeing the great results after only a week, I went back to Lancome and purchased a cleanser and a toner. Now I am hooked. I am so glad I took a chance on something I thought was just an over advertised brand.
My skin is so smooth and the redness is almost all gone. I actually stopped wearing foundation. I have never been this happy with a product before.

I bought this in the primordiale gift set that recently came out esp since I woke up one morning and realized my skin is changing and I need some anti-aging skin care now that I'm in my mid 20s. It comes with a daytime spf moisturizer, night moisturizer, eye cream, and the serum in the primordiale line. I LOVE this night cream. It seems to be more moisturizing than the day cream but the day cream is good too. In the last 2 wks, I've noticed my pores are smaller, and my skin doesn't have as much redness. I'm actually using less foundation/powder since that's mainly what I was trying to cover. My fine lines underneath my eyes are minimized, and my skin is soft. I think I'm going to have to add a night regular moisturizer in the winter to keep me hydrated (I have the driest skin of anyone I know esp in the winter) but this stuff does what it says it will!! When I run out of the items in the set, I'm pretty sure I will repurchase the night cream!!
