this is like vanilla mousse! there is no other way of describing this product. the texture is so amazing i love it. I would never use any other handcream. I got it as a freebee and now I will never stop buying it. Everyone compliments me on my hands and nails and the only thing i have done differently in the past year is use THIS handcream. Trust me.. go buy this cream.

Recently, I was able to purchase this on sale and I can say it is certainly worth what I payed. I was compelled to purchase it as I one, am enamored with the scent of vanilla, and two, appreciated that it was shea butter based. I've come to strongly dislike creams and lotions that are mineral oil based. The lack of hydration in such products is not evident with this cream. It's quite rich. It feels heavy initially, yet sinks in rather nicely. The scent I find to be unobtrusive and soft. I've read comparisons to buttercream frosting and cake with regards to the scent and I absolutely disagree. The Va Va Vanilla range smells of custard. It is a quintessentially Swiss vanilla scent. Although I must admit, it is an artificial custard scent. Some companies have mastered the art of creating products that smell true to their monikers, Ulta is not one of them. The packaging is sanitary, however I find that the tube gets very slippery in the bathroom after I've taken a hot shower. I prefer bottles with pump tops. The formulation of this cream would work well in tub packaging also. I don't feel dry hours after the application of this, however I've used more softening creams in the past. I would prefer to use this solely as a hand cream in my nightstand as opposed to using it all over my body. I WOULD purchase this again, however I would not do so excitedly or with pre-meditation.

This hand & body cream is my hand & body cream soul mate. I'm writing the review for the Va Va Vanilla, but I don't really like that scent too much. It's just...whatever, I wanted to review the formula and couldn't find a spot for that. I have tried the vanilla and it's fine. Yeah, kind of artificial. Because it is. Fake. What do you expect for that price, right? But it's not a super gross fake. It's nice in its way, I suppose. My sons like it.
Anyway, the formulation of this cream is fantastic. I love it and have it stockpiled in my house. I've never done that before with a hand cream. It absorbs reasonably well, smells good, and I like the way it moisturizes. I've been able to find good sales on it so I can pick it up for cheap. Win.
I don't know why it's different from every other cream I've tried, but it is. I'm not a hand cream scientist, just a hand cream user. I think it may be a little magical, based on my unscientific research which involved putting it on my hands and then having soft hands.
For the record, I like Simply Clean the best, followed by Citrus Verbena, and Pomegranate Apple is nice, too. The vanilla is okay, as is the Citrus Cream, but I don't think I'll buy those two again.

This smells just like buttercream frosting. I love foodie scents and this is right up there with the best. I didn't expect such a natural smelling vanilla scent from Ulta's line. The cream absorbs wonderfully and doesn't sit on my skin.

I actually got this hand cream as a gift from Ulta during one of my shopping trips. I probably would not have purchased this product on my own. Wow, I was impressed with how this lotion moisturized my hands. My hands felt so soft after applying this hand cream. I also love the Vanilla scent. I was smelling my hands all day the first time I used it. Thanks Ulta for letting me experience this great hand cream.

This stuff is amazing! I'm always buying new vanilla scented products and this is my favorite. I even like it more than VS's Slice of Heaven. Most of my fragrances have a vanilla scent to them, so this goes perfect with all of them. The scent is also very long lasting on me.

I got a 3 oz tube of this as a freebie at Ulta's grand opening. I'm glad they gave this to me because I would not have tried it otherwise. This is a great little cream for the hands, feet, elbows, and other areas needing extra moisturization. I love the scent. It smells like vanilla extract. The cream is very thick and works good on my feet after a pedicure. I will be purchasing this in the future to keep on my desk at work.

I actually got this as a freebie with an Ulta purchase, and I ended up liking it more than my purchase! I can't speak to how well the vanilla fragrance plays out in Ulta's other bath products, but in the hand cream it is luscious, like buttercream and caramel mixed. A very sweet vanilla, but not artificial and candy-like. Definitely not a floral or musky vanilla-- this is flat-out foody. The cream itself is very rich and thick, and absorbs well without a greasy residue, just what I want in a hand cream (*ahem* Burt's Bees aka Burt's Grease). The fliptop packaging is great for easy access. My one complaint is that the scent is quite pronounced; I can smell my hands for hours afterwards and it can overpower my parfum. It's a pleasant scent, and I love using it nonetheless.
