The best thing about it is the smell - sweet and not overwhelming. Then goes the affordable price. And only then its moisturizing effects. Its a bit to thick, but goes well on wet skin. I don't use it daily, its a good treatment for small areas. I might buy this again if I ever finish it - a huge pot, doesn't even come to the middle for 2 years.

Freeman has done it again. Made a really nice product for not alot of money. It's mostly cocoa butter, along with sunflower oil and other natural ingrediants, so it's just a really nice quality product. It works well on my very dry skin on my knees and heels. It's nice and comforting for the cooler weather months. It's a full 8oz jar that lasts a long time. Nevermind the smell! Heavenly buttery vanilla with a nice little kick of something else. I think it's the sunflower it's just delish. I really think for under 4 bucks a jar you should give it a try. Just goes to show you quality can be found in a large jar for not alot of money.

Received this in a swap in the summer last year, and while it originally smelled really nice, it seems to have lost its potency over time. Also, the texture just sucks, it feels almost gummy and jelly-like - it doesn't absorb at all!! When I poke the lotion, my finger just bounces back. I don't know if this is due to the fact that it's old or anything (I don't know how long the previous swapper had it for). Such a shame, because I love my sister's pearberry one!!! Sigh. Into the trash this goes!

Oh, how I love this body butter!
Smells great, does a great job moisturizing and is cheap.
I must have bought it four or five times by now (and I rarely stick to one product, unless I find it perfect).
I can't remember ever being disappointed by Freeman's products, they really are good quality for the price.

Ok, I love the smell but the consistency is just WEIRD. I mean, it feels dry and pasty and if you use too much it won't absorb. I only use it one my feet before I put socks on but then my feet stick to my socks, so I don't think it works so well. I won't get this one again.

I just recieved this today, it is very thick and made my hands feel very soft. The scent is wonderful and not over powering. I would make a re-purchase of this and it is cheap and great quality.

This is a really great body butter, one of the best i've tried. I'm usually not a big fan of vanilla-scented products, but the scent of this is wonderful! I agree with other reviewers that say it takes a while to sink in, but it does an excellent job of moisturizing. For under $5, it can't be beat.

I was very excited when I first got this because I have found their products to be a great value. When I first I thought, wow, this body butter smells really wonderful, just as the title sounds. The body butter itself, however, is a piece of wax. It sits on top of the skin and doesn't absorb, much less moisturize. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is that it smells so wonderful I can't bare to part with it, and after shower I'll rub over soaked heels and then my feet will smell great, but other than that this has little usage other than aromatherapy.

This is the worst body butter I ever tried! Where do I begin...first of all, it's hard like wax, you have to scrape it out of the jar. Applying it is so difficult, you rub and rub and rub FOREVER and it never seems to sink in. It leaves a film on my skin which later starts to flake off. It doesn't feel moisturizing at all. And I don't see the big deal about the scent..I can barely smell it. A big disappointment! Thank God it was dirt cheap to buy because this is going in the trash!!!

Smells lovely, but it's not very moisturizing. It's one of those *deceptively* moisturizing products...you think it's going to be moisturizing because it's thick, but really it's not. I thought this was difficult to apply (especially for entire-body application) because of its paste-like consistency. And like I said, it's really not very moisturizing. Very cheap, though.

the reason i rate this so highly is becuz it does moisturize while its there but it peels if you have any rough skin on your feet so you are left with smoother feet... as a moisturizer ahm im not too sure i dont think it has any long term effects for me though they do feel plumped up and soft when i put it on which I like... the plumping effect but I prefer this as a peeler I would defintely need another moisturizer too but i like really really soft feet.. so..UPDATE: this stuff kind of dries my feet i mean it doesnt moisturize that well yet it seems too im very wishy washy about this it makes them soft but not smooth if that makes sense

I can't tell you how wonderful the Freeman body butters work for me! I have all of the scents now, and keep a supply of them in case Freeman gets crazy and stops making them!

The scent of the Sunflower & Vanilla is pretty good - it smells very much like vanilla, with a bit of a sugar cookie scent in there too.

The consistency is very thick and rich and is not greasy at all. The body butter soaks into the skin easily and moisturizes extremely well. There is no greasy feel, no waxy residue, and my skin stays moisturizes all day and then some!

There is no body moisturizing product, high end or low end, on the market right now that comes close to these body butters by Freeman - they can't be beat and are priced around $4, which is dirt cheap for such a fantastic product!

Don't even put this body butter in the same sentence as The Body Shop's. This stuff is waxy, hard, tough to rub in. Has the texture of play dough. The scent is not that great either (and I'm not a snob -- I think Suave's vanilla lotion smells terrific). Yeah, it's cheap. But so what?

In an effort to find a good cream, I picked up a jar of Freeman's Body Butter. The thick consistancy didn't bother me so much but did take forever to rub in. Unlike other body butters and creams I've used, it didn't get soft or more pliable with body heat. Even after wiping off the excess, my skin still felt waxy and looked like it had a dull layer of wax on it as well.

What a great (cheap) find! This lotion rivals any high end body butter, in my opinion. First of all, the scent is just great: a subtle, "real" vanilla pudding scent that does not linger on the body (a major plus; I do not want to smell like an eclaire). It is a bit thick in the tub, but quickly melts like butter into the skin. Unlike some high end body butters (TBS) Freeman's bb is not greasy. It totally moisturizes and soothes my dry legs, and is a winter time grail.

Smells fabulous, horrid consistancy.

This product feels like some weird waxy paste. VERY DISAPPOINTING, because it smells SO good!

Yes, yes, yes!! I will definitely buy this product again...a hundred times over! I am absolutely in love. Normally, I'll buy a lotion/cream and use it a few times before I get bored of it. But this is SUCH a great product. First, it smells HEAVENLY. A medium vanilla + cocoa butter smell. Secondly, it is a very thick cream almost like a hairstyling putty? Unlike TBS butters or others which look and feel greasy. Thirdly, the PRICE! Can you believe??!!! I bought it for $3.77CDN. Yes, $3.77!! This is compared to $30 for others. And there's just as much in here...8oz of pure heaven. :) Please gals, you NEED this! Oh Winter, I have conquered!

Love it! This is the thickest body butter, with none of the slime factor the TBS body butters. I also have this in the hand lotion, and it smells delicious (a bit stronger scent than the body butter). The vanilla scent is similar to the Sarah Michaels vanilla sugar, but the Freeman doesn't have that cereal-like note that's in the Sarah Michaels. The price is so amazing!!

I like the smell. it's just a warm vanilla smell. and yeah it is kinda thick like a butter not a cream or lotion. i like the thickness though. after reading the label i decided to try out the suggestion of rubbing it on my thighs, stomach, etc. basically flabby areas. it was pretty nice. made my thighs and legs feel very smooth! i use it as a cellulite cream eventhough that's not what it's for - but whatever it only cost 3 bucks!

UPDATE: Have now realized that my body butter smells like plastic - THE HORROR!!! I still tried some on my legs as before. WAXY!!!! horrible horrid waxy film all over my legs and needs to shower the body butter off. very very sad. tossed it immediately and will never buy again.

I hope Freeman keeps this at this price forever, this is a secret gem. I've never found anything more moisturizing in a body butter, when all the expensive ones out there, stay on top of your skin and are so greasy, they don't soak in. This soaks in, it leaves you sooooooo soft, I use on my feet with socks at night. My daughter, has really dry Hawaiian skin and boyyyyyyyyyy I think I found her lotion, plus she loves the smell. I am almost done with my second container full, I will always buy this it's my fav!!!!!
