I just bought this product and I came on here to see some reviews on it. Now I only bought this a few days ago just out of the blue to try and already in a few days I'm amazed. I read some of the reviews on here and I see they're mostly from last year or two years ago. I think this product has come along way. There is no fishy smell what so ever and I don't notice any fishy burps afterwards like I did when I was taking fish oil pills. I have combination skin which never seems to decide on what kind of skin it wants to be, I'm constantly changing products ever so often just because it looses it's touch after a while or my skin completely changes. It seems a lot of other reviewers have very acne prone skin, which mine isn't really but I do get acne regularly which is a pain. I notice it says it helps reduce blemishes, which I think people should note is not acne but what acne leaves behind before scaring if not properly cared for. In a few days of using this product I've noticed a great deal of distant in the red blemishes I have and my skin seems more vibrant and less dull. I hardly find I have any really excessively dry or oily areas anymore, it's all pretty even. I do recommend taking these right after you eat though and drinking lots of water with them. Helps your skin stay hydrated. I have reduced to wearing make up very little. It's hard because I'm a cosmetologist and it'd be weird for my costumers to see me wearing nothing but if I'm not working I don't even bother putting on make up even if I'm just running out to the store I rinse my face in the morning with warm water and give it a little exfoliation with a soft clean cloth with a little moisturizer. Throughout the day if I notice my skin getting very oily or dirty I rise it again usually when I'm washing my hands after going to the bathroom so it makes it easy. At night I wash with an Aveeno scrub and use an natural night cream. Once to two times a week I steam my face to get the deep down dirt out. I've done all that within the last few days with taking these pills and I see the best improvement my face as ever had.
I'd recommend this but encourage a really healthy routine to go with it. Eat healthy, drink lots of water have a good skin care routine that fits your skin type and stay away from man made chemicals in products and food. For the best over all results.

Regarding the comment that this product smells horribly like fish, I had the same problem with my first bottle. I purchased a second bottle online from the vitamin shop in BC http://www.canadianvitaminshop.com/category.aspx?iid=-1&mid=-1&criteria=perfect+skin, and when this arrived, I was thrilled to see that the fishy smell was not present (YAY!!) so it's likely that either a capsule ruptured in my first bottle or the supplement was exposed to extreme heat or cold during shipment at some point, as there is a nasty oil present which as mentioned in other posts, made the pills nearly impossible to choke down (I would recommend returning any bottle that smells like this, as it is not how the supplement is supposed to smell/taste!!!).
As long as I use the pills with food, there has been no stomach upset or "fish burps/aftertaste".
I have extremely dry sensitive skin that has been plagued with acne since 2005. As a 30+ year woman, this has been incredibly frustrating, which finally brought me to try the Genuine Health Perfect Skin supplement. I've only been using it for a few weeks now, and have changed my skin routine as well to an extremely moisturizing cream cleanser and moisturizer (Burts Bees Intense Hydration http://www.burtsbees.ca/natural-products/face-intense-hydration/) combined with Tamanu oil at night.
As mentioned for a lot of people with my skin type challenges who added moisturizing and oils to their routine, I wound up with the painful acne cysts along my jawline/chin much more obnoxious than the acne that I've grown used to dealing with. I just wanted to mention that for this, I continued with the routine, and used Schuessler Tissue Salts: Silica Cleanser & Conditioner homeopathic remedy, and was amazed that the acne cysts calmed right down within 24 hours of the initial dose. Purchased from http://www.canadianvitaminshop.com/category.aspx?iid=-1&mid=-1&bid=-1&tid=-1&criteria=silica&page=2
I'm continuing with the perfect skin, and moisturizing skin care approach, and am noticing my skin is much clearer and healthy than it has been in years. I'm looking forward to seeing how beneficial this product has been after 3 months, and will update you then.
Hope this helps others who struggle with the same challenges!!

This product worked terribly. I had some acne before, but I broke out like crazy while I was taking this supplement. I also started getting acne on my chest and back where I had none before. When I stopped taking it my skin immediately improved but I still have a little more acne than I used to. I really don't recommend this product.
Also, I have absolutely no history of skin sensitivity and I don't have any allergies.

Give this a try! Normally I'd never bother to write a review for something but this has completely changed my skin for the better. I have tried every over-the-counter topical acne treatment available and nothing worked, I even got a prescription for tetracyclines which is supposed to really help bad skin but I got no results at all. My doctor recommended Accutane but I've heard more bad than good about it and then I found perfect skin completely by accident at saveon and bought it on a whim. I used perfect skin along with a facewash/scrub called curactin (I got it from a local spa but it can be purchased online too) for about 6 weeks and my skin hasn't looked this good since I was a kid. I have stopped using the curactin and now use a L'oreal cleanser and st ives apricot scrub but I still take perfect skin because I really notice the difference in my skin if I stop. It's a little pricey ($50 for 120 caps) but compared to how much money I wasted on products that haven't worked or have made my skin worse it is more than worth it! Also, I'm not sure if it's the perfect skin helping or if my skin is just weirdly resilient but I hardly have any scarring and it's getting better over time too. Seriously, if you feel like you've tried everything and got no results try this product, it's incredible!

This is the stinkiest fishy smelling supplement I can possibly imagine. I don't even have acne, so I just bought this thinking it might give my skin a bit of a boost. I've been using it for a few weeks now, although I admit not entirely according to the directions. You're supposed to take this 4 times a day, but this smells so bad, I am barely able to force this down my throat once a day. It's that bad. As for effects, this is getting some great reviews here, so if it works, I'd say it's worth it if you can stand the smell.

I have had acne problems ever since I can remember. I have tried everything medication going, (even accutane), every cleansing product imaginable. Nothing has helped.
And as an adult with acne issues, its embarassing :( So when I came across this product, I thought "why not give it a try. I've tried everything else." At first I thought the pricing was a bit expensive, but now that I've been using the pills for 6 months, I have to say this is the only product that has helped! I can't believe the difference in my skin. I have no more break outs, no side effects (unlike accutane, where I got so depressed) I am starting to feel comfortable with my face again. And as for the price goes, the product is almost always on sale! :) and I dont mind paying 40-50$ (120 capsales) for something that is going to give me my confidence back and give me clear skin.
I will continue to use this product until they stop making it! :)

Generally, I don't write reviews on here, I only read them. However I felt the need to review this product. I have suffered from acne for as long as I can remember. I have been on accutane 3 times in the past five years. My face would be good for awhile after the treatment and then start breaking out again. I tried this after i had a crazy reaction to zoloft which made my skin TERRIBLE. I picked these up shortly after and hoped that going the more natural root would help. These have literally changed my life. My skin is no longer oily, it's NORMAL. I've never had "normal" skin before. I still get breakouts but they're very small and managable compared to before. $50/month on supplements is better than enduring 6 months of side effects from accutane. I really think everyone should atleast try these, cause believe me I was skeptical too, but if they work on my skin, they could work for yours too!

Wow .. I can't believe that people haven't given this product better reviews. You defiantly have to give this sometime to work but after about 2 weeks or so my skin was FLAWLESS. I am obsessed with these pills. I was on accutane and it didn't work for me so i felt completely hopeless. a friend of mine told me to try these pills and im so so glad i did. this doesn't just clear up acne, it gets rid of scars ! It prevents your skin from getting dry , and it makes your skin glow. I can't even describe how amazing these pills are. Give it time, if it can work for my terrible cystic acne it can for sure work for you guys !! I wish i could give this product 10 stars , LOVE LOVE LOVE

This was a very dissapointing product. I had more success with flax oil than with this product. I may have not taken it often enough but I experience no effects from it, positive or negative except for a bit of dissapointment. I did have positive results in terms of overall health with the powdered Greens+ products from Genuine Health in the past but this one does not work for me. I am someone who is all about natural products so I was hoping for some sort of positive effect from this but nothing. A bit of waste of money since this product is fairly expensive.

I have to agree with the others who say - don't buy this product! It's just not worth it.
My skin was better before I tried these - and I did give it time ( 2 weeks) to see if there was improvement, but I'm left with little red bumps on my face that I didn't have before. Personally I've had great success with Omega 3 (both fish and flax), so I'll be sticking with those. The combination of ingredients in 'Perfect Skin' leads me to believe they are creating allergic reactions for some of us...

There are cheaper omega 3 supplements out there. These are quite expensive. They do contain ingredients that are said to be beneficial for acne but they are in such tiny amounts, I doubt they make much difference. When my diet was poor, I did notice a difference with these, but since then I have discovered a more affordable brand of omega 3 called Nutra-Sea.
I had a lot of success with the Multi-Glow tablets. They are a decent multi-vitamin that made a big difference in my acne-prone skin.

Disappointment. That is the best way to describe this product because I had high hopes and again, like so many other things, I was disappointed. The pill cost way too much, I think about $50 (Canadian) which came with 120 pills of which you are suppose to take 4, every day. Doing the math this will last you exactly 30 days. Even if this was a product that worked, unless it cured you 100% of acne it would not be worth $50 a month. I found that they did not help at all and every day I took them I found a new pimple deeply imbedded in my skin that would not go away for at least a week. I gave this product about a week, stopped, tried it for a couple days again a few weeks later and then stopped again. Only bad things happened when I took these pills and while they may be worth a shot I do not recommend buying the 30 day pack. Also if anyone is looking to take tablets to help with acne I have heard good things about taking fish oil pills or I think you can even get the oil in liquid form (don’t think it matters what fish, I’ve tried cod liver oil and I have had no bad experience like with the Perfect Skin pills)

BAD, BAD ,BAD!! Broke out in a major heat type rash on my face that lasted for a solid month!! I see I am not the only one who broke out this way. I don't have sensitive skin whatsoever and am not allergic to anything either, but something is off here?! Not sure what? The customer service rep didn't have a clue about any side effects "ummm it has no side effects or at least I have never heard of any" was his reaction, yah thanks for your insight...pfftt

I tend to break out during September, October area, and two years ago it got super bad, causing one whole side of my face to become very pimply and the rest was alright. So I cleaned my pillow sheets every night and washed diligently, and there was little to no improvment.
I bought this product on a whim and took it consectuitvely for about 5 months, but it takes a month to show any results. And yes, there were great ones! I wake up and find my skin glowing (for a cheaper alternative you can try Genuine Health's Glow, it doesn't work as great for pimple but if you have relatively clear skin it will improve its overall condition.) and my acne disappears (not completely mind you, but it shows great improvement)
My skin can be super sensitvie, breaking out at slightest touch of primer, make up brush, probably foundation but I cannot live without it. I reccomend this product, although if I had read these reviews before buying it I probably wouldn't have. I say do not be put off by it, some people may be having an allergic reaction (those small irriatated rash/bumps are what happened to me on minocycline), but for a bottle about $20, give it a try for a month and just watch your skin. If these symptons occur, discontinue use asap, but if you do find it helped you, you've struck a goldmine!

I have used Genuine Health products for the last 15 yrs and have always had great success. I used one bottle of Perfect Skin and the Healthy Skin with Greens+ then added Multi Glow and Omega Glow and my skin has never looked healthier. Combined with clean eating and an active lifestyle, I have to say these products are great for me! Plus I quit smoking two yrs ago... that helped stop a lot of the acne. For me, it wasn't a quick fix, it took a month or so before I started noticing the difference.

Hi there,
I would like to respond to the posts regarding perfect skin made by Genuine Health.
I work for Genuine Health as Social Community Manager, and hope to add a few helpful comments.
First, I'd like to say thank-you to all those who purchased perfect skin and took the time to provide their feedback.
Since its launch, we have received a large number of testimonials (http://shop.genuinehealth.com/genuine-results/)
from people of all ages who have experienced great success, however individual results will vary.
There's no question symptoms related to acne very difficult to cope with. More adults than ever are experiencing problem skin, with stress and diet closely linked.
While there are no ‘magic pill’ solutions for any health issue, research shows natural ingredients like those contained in perfect skin can work effectively (including EPA concentrate, EGCG from Green Tea, Zinc, Vitamin E and Chromium) – especially if they are lacking in diet.
In addition to proper nutrients, studies show there are a number of factors involved in acne, including overall diet, stress, hormonal changes and excessive sebum (oil) production.
While the ingredients contained in perfect skin can target these factors, lifestyle changes (such as diet (dairy) and reduction of stress) are very important in order to achieve the best results.
To read more about acne/problem skin, including the latest research showing its causes and ways to overcome its symptoms, I highly recommend the book ‘The Clear Skin Diet’ http://shop.genuinehealth.com/the-clear-skin-diet-by-dr-alan-logan.html) by Dr. Alan Logan.
Dr. Logan is a leading naturopathic doctor, product formulator and skin-health expert who works with the very best dermatologists in the U.S, including Dr. Mark Rubin. (In fact, Dr. Rubin conducted a study using perfect skin at the renowned Lasky Skin Clinic in Beverly Hills, CA. BUYER BEWARE....Bad product....!! I thought this was going to help my mild acne (with my healthy lifestyle and all)... but now it made it worse! I am now breaking out on my forehead, chin and cheeks! Even some places of my skin that I don't have acne now does... I thought my skin was purging... but it was not. I also have non-inflamed bumps on my entire face. I am so disappointed in this product... I don't recommend this product. My skin looked better without these supplements... Don't listen to the people who say that it is a "purging state" or that "it will eventually go away in a few weeks"! If a product makes your skin worse at the beginning then it is NOT going to be good for you! You already have a bad breakout... Why do you have to go through another horrible breakout for "months" before clearing? It doesn't sound correct. (When I emailed the customer service, they told me it should subside in a few weeks.. which is totally false... But I believe them, and went to buy more supplements! My breakout lasted more than a few weeks and even didn't get better..) A good product should start healing your skin at first... not causing it to get WORSE for many months!
EDIT 2: It's been 3 weeks since I have stopped taking the supplements.... My skin is better now.. but the recovering is slow...
EDIT 3: It's been 2 months now, and I am now sure that my pimples/breakouts were caused by the supplements. Since stopping taking them, my skin is getting better, but still dealing with this "weird-bumpy-inflamed" breakout... So, be careful when taking supplements (there might be some ingredients in it that are not going to work well with your body/skin)... I was attracted to the "publicity" of Genuine Health (Natural.. and all..) which is why I decided to start taking these supplements. (Wrong decision... also... I spend a lot!...) Better off by eating "real food" for supplements...!

WORST PRODUCT!
Do not use it, unless you want to have little bumps all over your face for months afterward. I am still dealing with the effects of this. And I am afraid it will never go away.
