This clogged my pores and broke me out. I currently have 10+ blemishes from it, but it's too depressing to count to get the exact number. The worst thing was that it took using it for about a week straight before I noticed any problem. Sneaky. I am 100% sure this is what did it, because it's the only new thing I have added to my routine. I'm so bummed because I love this sunscreen in every other respect. It is so easy to apply and spread. I was surprised that is it actually a milky liquid and not a cream at all. On fair skin, it has a brightening effect but no white cast and is very breathable. I'll give it a 2, because the consistency is really good, and if it doesn't break you out, it would be great.

Summary:

Pros: photostable, non-migrating, doesn't sting during application, easy to apply, fragrance free, matte finish, breathable feel, no white cast on fair skin

Cons: COMEDOGENIC (on me at least), expensive

***i have to rate this product, cuz it is the best sunscreen i ever use! it moisturizes your skin, but you wont feel oily and it is very THIN and LIGHT WEIGHT!!!! (i tried lancome and EL, and they are way too thick..)
***some ppl complain the PPD is too low, but i dont care, since i bought this product for 2 mth, and have not got sunburn so far (in the past, although i apply sunscreen, i was still easy to get sunburn...) it works great on me, and i definitely recommend this products to my boyfriend, family.
***btw, it is very gentle cuz i have super sensitive skin (i cannot use Shiseido, Kose for some reason i dont know) i dont think it is pricey, cuz it is very hard to find an amazing product for super sensitive skin.
***Fantastic product, must buy in the summer!!!

I'm rating this a bit higher than I actually feel because this a solid offering from an American company. It has the feeling and finish of some of the Japanese sunscreens (and big surprise, it's made in Japan!) but is easily available in the U.S. My beef with it: low ppd (UVA protection), smooth, yes, but mattifying, no, and it is slightly whitening, especially on my flakey or bumpy bits, from the titanium dioxide. It also doesn't seem to play well with some other silicone-based products (rolls off it crumbs or bits). But it's really smooth and easy to apply for the most part and I can see this being really nice for somebody who isn't relying on this for beach-wear but more for everyday, putzing around the house or in an office. It also doesn't need any special cleanser to be removed, unlike Sofina or Shiseido sunscreens. I just need higher UVA-protection (I'm using a retinoid) and I need a more matte texture.

I think I am finally ready to review this sunscreen. I am very pale (NW15) and burn easily, so sunscreen is extremely important to me. I love the way this feels. It has a thin, milky consistency that I find melts into my skin, feels like velvet. Finally, I enjoy putting on sunscreen in the morning! I have very dry skin and this hasn't dried me out more or irritated my skin - however it's not terribly moisturizing either. It's hard for me to tell how well it's working since most of the benefits of sunscreen are long-term. I will say that I put it on before being out all day in the sun, and my neck, where I didn't put anything (shh! I know! forgot!), burned a little, whereas my face didn't at all. However, as others have said, the PPD is low (around 4). So while the UVB protection is good - no burning! - the UVA leaves something to be desired - long-term damage ahoy! I also found the price to be a little high, but not unreasonable. I would pay it gladly if the UVA protection were higher. So although I love many things about this sunscreen, I won't be repurchasing.

Okay, first, why did so many people review this product and claim that it does not leave a whitish cast on the face? c'mon! Seriously, I'm not ghost white but I'm not even brown! This does leave a white cast. You can blend it but it's there, but if you're white...this may work.
That said, this product is FANTASTIC! I have never had ANY product obliterate my pores (aside from Clinique Pore Minimizer) the way this did; I have some acne scars but now with pores gone, my skin is amazing. The spreadabilty of the product, it's thinness is amazing! This is my HG product. I can't believe how good it is.. I am not thrilled with the whiteness but I'll have to deal...
I just have never raved about a product this way..I'm just sad that I now look like a ghost...

I am soooo dissapointed! I was very upset to see the size of this Sunscreen. Over $30 w/ship for a very small bottle. 1 0z. I bought it to use for everyday (incidental sun) with my MMU. It does work fine in that respect. It is very runny lotion and does go on very smooth and absorbs and makes nice primer for MMU.. (Maybe last a couple weeks.. if that). But the PPD being only 3.9 or so.. this is way overpriced for an iffy kind of protection. I would have sacrificed using hats, big glasses etc. for nice primer ss, and using high PPD on rest of body.. but.. I am going to go for a better protection and suffer a lil more shiny result for the money. I really wanted to love this.. but alas.. cannot!
I can't find a full list of ingredients on the internet ANYWHERE! But this is what is on the bottle:
7.50% Octinoxate and Titanium Dioxied 5.0%

I so wanted to like this as it seemed to be a more reasonably-priced alternative to Clarins UV Plus which remains the only sunscreen I can put on my face. I like the texture and finish of the Px very much, it has a milky consistency and powdery finish, but it caused little red irritation bumps all over my (formerly clear) face. I am not sure which ingredient could have caused this but perhaps the octinoxate part of the sunscreen. -sigh- I will use it on my neck and hands but will not repurchase.

I'm so glad I tried this! I ordered it during the friends and family sale and was not sure how I would like it. Now I wish I got 2! This does not feel like sunscreen at all on my face- it feels like a primer. It is very thin and not thick and heavy feeling like most sunscreens I've tried. Very lightweight, no greasy feel, no whitish cast and no obnoxious scent. The container is very small for the price- 1oz $26.50- that is the only bad part! Since it's the only sunscreen I can stand wearing so far I would definitely repurchase when I run out!

I gave up on finding a sunscreen and went without ( I can hear the skin care board gasping now!)until I found this little gem! I have super sensitive skin and this does not bother it one bit. Believe me when I say I have tried many, MANY sunscreens. Drugstore, Euro(which cost dearly when ordering online because of shipping costs), Asian, chemical, physical you name it, I tried it...and very poor! They were either too greasy or too drying, but this is just perfect for combo. skin. It is so light that you can't feel it on, doesn't leave any white cast and my makeup doesn't cake up underneath it. Perfection at last!

The counter manager at my local Macy's made me a sample of this and it actually never made it on to my face. I tried it on my hand and my hand started burning. That was not a good sign and I never tried it on my face. People seem to love this sunscreen but it's not for me. And it seems extremely expensive for a little tiny container. All of my makeup is Px but haven't felt the love for their skincare.

FINALLY, a high spf sunscreen that I can wear under makeup! I snatched this up 2 seconds after I tried it on my hand, and that says a lot for a woman who can take hours or days to make up her mind about makeup (and everything else). I absolutely LOVE this sunscreen! The texture is smooth, the formulation is very light, and it wears beautifully under my makeup. It does not add any shine to my oily skin. When spending time in the sun before this product, I either had to take off my makeup and put a very thick Neutrogena oil-free spf 45 on, which I hated, or just rely on my makeup's built-in spf 15, which usually left me burned. My skin burns really easily and I spend a lot of time at the pool in the summer. This sunscreen is something I would buy regardless of the price because I need it so badly and it is such a superior product. Living in TX, this is a product I will use 3/4 of the year. I highly recommend it.

I love this sunscreen.I have had for about a month now and waited to see how my skin is behaving with it to be able to write a review.
My skin loves it and absorbs it quickly. This sunscreen is a white consistency but leaves no white residue!! There is no smell and my face doesn't look like a grease bowl which is awesome for me since I have very oily skin and I have psoriasis. It leaves my skin so soft .I didn't know a sunscreen could do that!!
The only thing. It's a bit expensive and the bottle a bit small but you don't need to use a lot on your face as it has a good coverage and lather nicely :)
Overall, it's my HG product and I will be buying it over and over again since Prescriptive offers some great deals from time to time :) The quality explains the price !!

Day One:

After the first application, this sunscreen sunk right in and did not make my skin shiny in the T-zone like most other moisturizers do within an hour. However, the next time I apply this I will apply a light moisturizer on my cheeks underneath this sunscreen, because in winter this is not moisturizing enough for me. I like C.O. Bigelow Extra-Light Face Lotion. The fact that it does not dry out my skin or cause my T-zone to get oily is a huge plus. I have been wearing this for 12 hours. Also, I did not feel any stinging, tightness, burning or cooling after applying this, nor have I had any breakouts, redness or rashes from this all day. My mineral makeup applied nicely over this sunscreen and remained more matte than with previous sunscreen moisturizers I have tried. So far the only drawbacks are the price (altho I got this on sale and with a free shipping promo) and the fact that I wish the bottle had a pump top. Other than that I'm a fan.

I will update in about a week of daily use.

Update: I have been using this daily and have had no breakouts. The only drawback is that I wish this was a lotion consistency so I would not have to wear a lotion underneath. Also, because it is so runny, I do not think I am getting SPF 40 protection. For the price, these drawbacks are enough to make me not repurchase.

This product has nearly identical packaging to the Clarins UV Plus and when I initially went to purchase it, I assumed it would similarly be a chemical free spf like the Clarins. The spf in the Prescriptives product is actually a mix of a chemical sunscreen plus 5% titanium dioxide. I didn't find this product to leave the same white cast on my skin as the Clarins, probably for that reason. It seemed to also contain a few more antioxidants than the Clarins, including tumeric extract which was fairly high on the ingredient list. The best news; this absorbed quickly, no smell and was completely imperceptable on my skin once applied. It was like I had absolutely nothing on my skin. And even better yet, I did not get that awful mid afternoon shine I usually get from most sunscreens. This is a definite winner.
