Dark vampy colour, I like it a lot but then I can't wear it for more than a couple of days without getting bored with it. Not the most original but still quite autumnal and classy.

FROM THE INDIA COLLECTION
I purchased quite a few polishes from this collection online and I have to say, many of them didn't live up to the image of colourfully bright and/or golden shimmery exotica one usually associates with middle eastern culture and beauty. Black Cherry Chutney is another one that didn't make the cut for me... while the base shade here is dark and mysterious, I get no red/burgundy chutney at all and the glittery frost tone of it left much to be desired; had the focal point of this shade been more on the purple shade and not adorned with glitter galore, I would have been satisfied. Alas, I am not 13 so all that glitters is not gold or desired. IMO Black Cherry Chutney is way too similar to other already existing OPI polishes; its just another dark shade.

I was looking for an alternative to Lincoln Park After Dark, which I think is too matte. I was drawn to BCC because of the subtle shimmer. I was a little disappointed to find that the shimmer is *very* subtle. However, it does give it an added dimension that is really pretty. Overall, I love this color. It's very sexy and looks very sharp. It's a neutral for darker months. It goes with everything I wear. I expected this to be a color I would wear once in a while, but I go for it again and agin. Also very easy to apply and has good coverage with two coats.

i would describe this colour as a deep grape. in some light, it looks black. i put on a base coat and two coast of BCC and it lasted a week (would have lasted longer but i finally got tired of it and took it off). for a nail polish to last that long on me is incredible. i have a lot of OPIS polishes, but this one seems to last longer than any of them. usually a polish lasts about 3-4 days on me... MAX! oh, it's very high shine too which is nice for dark polishes.
anyway, this colour is rich looking and not too goth. more classy than that.

This is my gateway nail polish to the world of OPI. The colour is a beautiful deep, dark red wine colour that builds to a decent opacity after two coats. The formula is fairly fluid and each layer dries within a few minutes for me leaving a beautiful glossy finish, however, it's even more stunning when topped with the OPI rapid dry top coat. This is my go to colour for the tootsies and I'm impressed by its staying power. As long as I touch up my top coat layer once every few days, my pedicure will last for at least a fortnight if not longer. In the instances where the polish comes off the nail, it comes off as a whole layer rather than just chipping around the edges. This is actually quite handy as I can just do the nail over from scratch - no need for messing about with nail polish remover and the like! I will definitely be repurchasing this colour once my first bottle runs out. I should really try out a few more OPI colour polishes before I start shouting OPI's name from the rooftops... I'm pretty close to it doing it anyway, though.

I love this color!! Im usually not a fan of dark colors on my nails but I decided to try this color out. It's a gorgeous eggplant purple/blackish color with purple/gold glitter. With 2 coats, my nails almost look black. It's only when you look close, you can see the reddish/purple tint. Gorgeous color for fall. Def would repurchase again and try out other dark colors! :)

What a delicious, rich, and sultry shade. Black Cherry Chutney goes on like a lustrous black. In the sunlight, it has dazzling deep red shimmers and resembles the skin of a cherry. This is one of the most beautiful nail polishes I have ever seen. Decent opacity, I need about two coats. Not too thick or thin either. Black Cherry Chutney is incredibly subtle and vampy. If you love variations of black nails, this is a must!

My favourite nail colour for a couple of years now. Looks stunning against pale neutral skin (I'm an NC20). The perfect vampish colour both tone & finish-wise - always chic & glam, never goth stoner. Lol.

I'm on my second bottle of this. This is a very nice dark colour, its almost black but it has gold/purple reflects in the polish. Very very fine and looking from far, you wont be able to detect such thing but once the light hits it, it is just gorgeous! I love dark colours on my toes! On the first coat, this does apply very streaky, second coat will even it all out and give the nails even coverage. Highly recommend for dark nail varnish lovers!

Like many other reviewers have said this color looks like a lot of the other vampy colors out there - like Give me Moor, etc. However, I love this color because of the depth of it in different lighting - when I am outside I notice the small specks of sparkle and the beautiful pluminess of it. Indoors it looks like a creme but I wear this color for me - love the sparkly surprise when I am outdorrs! Love it!
Application is great and you can get away with 2 coats but I tend to do three - the brush is wide so I get my mani done in no time. Love that about OPI!

When I first picked out this polish I was very excited... but ended up rather disappointed. In the bottle it looks like a very deep burgundy and a gorgrous reddish tint is very visible but on nails its basically a black... if there's any tint to it it's more of a plum-violet, and even that is very hard to see and is mostly just visible on the first streaky coat and as it moves away from the streaky-ness (3+ coats) it moves towards being black. Definitely not what I was looking for.

Beautiful winter color. If you're a fan of dark purpley colors this is for you! It looks a little more purple on me.. maybe because I got it on acrylics but its gorgeous regardless.

I love this color~ it's a deep, glossy, blackened-red with super-fine red shimmer (the exact color of a ripe bing cherry). I love deep, dark, edgy nail colors, and this one delivers. The formula is a little thick, though that could be because I’ve had it 2-3 years now. Two coats give sufficient coverage. Drying time is a bit longer than normal, I’d say 10-15 minutes until its dry to the touch, though its ‘smudgeable’ for a good hour (maybe because it lays on a little thick). The wear time is decent, as are most OPIs I’ve tried. I get 2-3 days with some minor tip wear, and about 5 days before any real noticeable chipping (I always wear with a base & top coat). That’s pretty good, for me, because I am not careful with my nails at all. This was limited edition when I got it, I don’t know if its part of OPIs regular line now, or not. I am glad I have it, its in my regular rotation of fall-winter nail colors. Its definitely one of the more unique, dark vampy shades I’ve come across.

Hands down my favorite dark polish. perfect for winter, i usually rock this polish near Halloween. i just applied it tonight and i continue to love it. Recommend it to anyone, i think it could work with a variety of skin tones. I'm tan/olive and it looks great on me and also my mom who is fair skinned. It has great shine and some shimmer, overall it's not dark like black polish but not too purple/blue toned... i love it! doesnt clash with any outfit

This is my first attempt at trying a very dark shade of polish. Typically, I stick with reds on my toes, and neutral shades on my fingers. Black Cherry is it's name, and it looks exactly like black cherries. It took three coats before the streaks would disappear. It's definitely a winter polish ~ I live in So CA and could wear it with black in the fall and winter.
Honestly, I don't like the shade. I didn't like Vamp when it was the craze in the 1990's. Never wore it then, and I won't wear it now. I am sending this polish back ~ at my age this polish is took dark and too youthful for me.

Vamp with Shimmer. I prefer it to Chanel Vamp because the shimmer makes it look nice long after the top coat loses the new manishine.
Goes on smooth and lasts, like most OPI polishes.

Gorgeous color for fall/winter. I was looking for a dramatic deep purple/indigo shade, and this was perfect.
Probably won't purchase again as I prefer brighter/warmer colors and I do not wear it often anyway, but the color is indeed beautiful!!!

This isn't exactly what I expected, but I still like it well enough to keep it for fall/winter use. I was expecting a little bit more dark red in this shade, but it's mostly a raisin/black color, which is pretty, but not what I was looking for. I have it on my hands now, but probably won't use it again until fall, just because it is so dark. ( I love dark colors, but I prefer brights in the summer.)
Like all OPI colors, it applies very smoothly, and 2 coats gives you bottle shade- the pro-wide brush is also the best brush available, in my opinion.
I'm not sure how it will hold up to chipping yet, but I'll be sure to amend my review...I've noticed some OPI shades hold up like iron, and some chip quickly.
With seche vie top coat, this polish really shines, and the top coat seems to bring out some of the hidden shimmer.

A great, dark (red/plum nearly black/vampy) pedicure shade for Fall or Winter. Rich deep color, easy application (no streaking) but hard to remove and can stain - so use a protective basecoat (Milky). Worth a whole-bottle purchase!
