Well another shampoo my hair can't handle. I have fine, limp, thin hair. This shampoo was too thick for my hair. It did not give it any volume at all. Even after i blow dried my hair it was flat and lifeless. It got worse through the day. By the time i made it home it looked like it had not been washed. It was flat and greasy. Safe to say i will not repurchase.

Smells awesome but this is too drying for my already dry hair, so I quit using it. I find that gel cleansers are best for those with very oily scalps and drying mine out even more sure just makes my hair fall out by the multiples! So sad news, but nonetheless, I did find it volumized a tad and probably does well for people with fine hair and an oily scalp.

I am a huge Suave fan! I only use Suave products on my hair because they are cheap and work very well, exactly like the commercial says. The smell is amazing and my hair is left smelling great and full and soft. I definetly recommend this product to anyone!

I like this shampoo, it leaves my roots and scalp feeling clean, yet not dried out. Like most volumizing shampoos, it can be drying on the length, but to counter that I just make sure to use a good salon-brand conditioner. After conditioning I lightly follow it with a detangling solution that I rinse out (I use the Biolage one). I will keep using this shampoo until cold, fall air rolls around again (when I will need a moisturizing shampoo for my scalp).

(My hair: generally healthy and not chemically treated)

Edit: Lowering my review rating - this dried my hair out terribly after further use. Not recommended.

I was very surprised by how much I like this shampoo. It's the first Suave shampoo I've tried as I always thought Suave wasn't very good. I am so glad I bought this stuff! It makes my hair so silky and bouncy. It doesn't dry my hair out at all, like most volumizing shampoos do. I actually like that it's a little runny because it makes it easier to evenly distribute it throughout my hair. And it's very easy to rinse out. Most shampoos make my hair all tangly, but this doesn't. I will definitely repurchase!

I have fallen in love with the new Suave shampoos and conditioners. The only problem I've had with this product is that it leaves no volume in my hair.

this was HORRIBLE for my fine hair, it dried it out and caused so much breakage, just running my fingers through my hair made it fall out. and even though it dried it out my scalp would somehow still be oily the next day. no matter how much conditioner i used, it just broke off. never again. maybe some people with thicker or more moisturized hair could use this, but its definitely too damaging for very fine hair.

This shampoo makes me mad. It doesn't add any volume to my hair. It has a nice smell and it cleans great... but it dries my hair out soo bad. I need to use ultra conditioning after using this shampoo. It makes my hair so thirsty for moisture. Ugh! I love the price and packaging, but everything else disappoints.

I love this shampoo despite the fact that it really doesn't add volume to your hair by that much. So does this product therefore fail? I don't think so. :) Although my hair didn't increase much in thickness, it became more shiny and soft. I also adore the smell, it's really light and simple.

It has a nice clean scent.
Scent stayed in my hair even when my hair was dry.
Cute packaging colour and available in a wide range of choices.
It is a clear white liquid that has a consistency of a regular shampoo.
Lathers like any other shampoo would and gives an amazing volume,making your hair look thicker and fuller.
but nothing as crazy as the bottle says "3x".
but there is only to a certain extent to what you can expect but is a nice shampoo for the affordable price of just 3 to 4 dollars.
Available for $ 3 to 4.
I am not aware of any cons of this product. So far it is one of the best drugstore brand shampoo living to its claim of volumizing hair.
So it is a definite re purhase..!!

I hate this a lot. I only used it for two days but they were the frizziest two days of my life. My curls had absolutely no separation whatsoever, just a floopy mess of frizz. Ugh. Do. Not. Want.

This shampoo did not give me volume whatsoever! the worst part was that it made my hair so stiff!! it was like having wet hair with with a ton of stiff hair gel in it after i got out of the shower! my hair was badly tangled up and it took a long time to get it combed out !! never again!

The purple bottle is cute. It brought little volume to my hair but after 10 hours my hair became dry. It is a cheap shampoo. It is better than Tresemme and Pantene shampoo.

this is one of my favorite shampoos! my hair is shoulder length and i straighten it, and sometimes it is just flat and boring. this shampoo makes it bouncy and full! its pretty cheap too, at target, its about 2 bucks. a great buy!

I've been using the Suave Professional line for a few months and I've been pretty satisfied. I don't normally buy volumizing products because between the thick hair I already have and the layers I've added, my hair has more than enough volume, but this was the only Suave shampoo my Target had in stock. It definitely works as far as adding volume goes. My hair went from semi-managable to poof-ball after a couple washes. It's pretty drying, as to be expected from a volumizing shampoo, so I'd recommend using a really good conditioner. I'm almost finished with the bottle, and as I expected, I have a lot of build-up on my hair from all the volumizing agents in this shampoo. Unfortunately, I've learned the hard way that the Suave Professional line is destroying my hair. My stylist scolded me for using their products, and now I'm beginning to realize that Suave is likely the reason for all the breakage and brittle ends I've been struggling with. Next time I'll lay out the extra couple dollars for something better.

I refuse to spend a lot on hair products so I love suave. I recently grew my hair out and I needed some volume. This shampoo gets my hair really clean. I don't find it drying but then again, my scalp is oily.

I am amazed at how great this product is. I purchased this along with the volumizing conditioner and root spray. Using all 3 has made my lifeless, thin & curly hair full of life and SOOOO manageable. I love these products. Do yourself a favor and call the number on the back of the bottle and tell Suave how much you love the products. They like hearing from customers & will send you free coupons (as if 1.92 wasn't already cheap enough!!).

Thanks to these products I can now wear my hair a little longer and not worry about loss of volume!!!

This shampoo/conditioner combo works better than the Paul Mitchell's lemon sage I was using. It's dirt cheap, too! Edit: The more I use this shampoo the better it gets. My hair is now full of volume and shiny. Love it!

I haven't noticed any improvement in volume since using this. Maybe on the bottom of my hair, but not at the roots where I need it most. I might not notice be because I'm using it in conjunction with a shine-enhancing conditioner instead of a volumizing one, idk.

I just used this for the first time this morning... in fact I just dried my hair and had to come do a review because I'm that impressed. I always go through a time where I use more expensive hair products then switch to Suave and every time Suave products make me rethink spending more money. I read the reviews before purchasing the shampoo and i will agree that when smelling this product from the bottle it is a bit strong. However, when washing my hair, it just smelled very clean and not overpowering at all. I did use this in conjunction with the Suave volumizing spray gel root lift and when drying my hair held my head over and then did the sides on high heat and then set it with the cool setting. I won't have to do as much teasing today either! All in all I'm very pleased with these products and highly suggest them :)
