I made my first CAT cosmetics purchase during the 30% off special during December. My order included Hello Gorgeous and Oscar Glow Powder. I was more than pleasantly surprised by how lovely Hello Gorgeous is - every color is a winner. I tend to buy high end brands (MAC, Bobbi Brown, Julie Hewitt and this is right up there with the big boys). With the discount the price was great - especially considering all of the colors work for me. The consistency of the powder is soft, blendable, the color stays and the colors look so lovely together. Very user friendly. There was even a free blush brush in the deal. Now I want to try the Tabby eyeshadow everyone raves about.

Have decided that the colors are okay - looked better on my daughter so I passed it on....

I hate to bring rhe rating down, but I had high hopes for this palette. I want to like Cat Cosmetics, what a great inspiration. But..., this is too yellow and pink for me. I have other Cat palettes that I have kept for the Whiskers Blush and Catnip Bronzer. So that didn't help justify this one. The two lightest shades are too yellow and pink, I love the two darker shades. But, I already have a palette and a backup of Whiskers and Catnip. The two shades I really liked didn't justify even the sale price.

I agree with the reviewer's below that this palette is fantastic! The colors (which have already been described very well) are beautiful and usable. The eyeshadows apply easily and stay put - you can create many different looks from soft to dramatic depending on the combinations used. The blush is a lovely, very pigmented pink. This is my first item from Cat Cosmetics and I love it!

If I were stranded on a desert island (a common poll topic on MUA), I would want this palette with me! Cat has done it again, but better. I'm already a big fan of hers, but I thought I'd agree with the first reviewer here : ) and add my two cents!

As Cat instructs in one of her videos, I put Catnip bronzer lightly on my cheeks, then brush lightly on my forehead, chin, and nose to give me an "outdoor" glow. I follow this with Whiskers blush, the perfect rosy-pink. I think this color would look great on everyone. Sometimes I wear it by itself, but because I have rosacea, I usually put Catnip on first to tone that down. When I'm wearing this blush, my cheeks look rosy, not reddish!

The lightest eyeshadow color, Purity, is like a matte light golden beige neutral base-type color. I put this all over, especially highlighting the inside of my lid (towards my nose). I put the next color, Treasure, which is a light peachy coppery color with a little shimmer, but not too much, on my lid. This really brings out the green in my hazel eyes. The third color, Peace, is what I use to contour with. It's a mid-deep bronze color with a little shimmer, but again, not too much. I don't use the last color Joy, which is a darker brown, too much, but I have used it over Peace to darken my crease color. This is the color you would use to line. The staying power of these is great.

Cat's palettes are so cute and well made, with the picture of the "kitty" looking into the mirror! Their customer service is out of this world, and she usually has a sale or two each month.

The Cat Cosmetics Hello Gorgeous palette is truly fabulous. I'm in love with it, and not the 12 yr old googly eyed puppy love---I'm talking deep, committed, grow old together love. If I didn't have MPMD---Multiple Personality Makeup Disorder I would wear it everyday. As it is, I'm wearing it 3-4 times a week and that's a record for me.

Description: The Hello Gorgeous palette contains Catnip Bronzer, a slightly shimmery but not glittery highly pigmented bronzer--a little goes a long way and the brush that comes with the palette makes for a perfect application. Whiskers blush is a shimmery soft pink blush, but again not too shimmery. It gives more of a glow and we all love to glow, right? Whiskers is very pigmented too, when I use the brush that came with the palette, I pick up too much so I've switched to a skunk brush---ahhhh perfect.
There are 4 eye shadows--Purity, Joy, Treasure & Peace. All are very soft and pigmented. Easy to apply and blend, they are just lovely.
Purity--a neutral matte shadow that works great as a wash or to even out the eyelids if you have any discoloration.
Treasure--a shimmery peachy gold that I LOVE on the lid--it makes my blue eyes really POP! If I use purity underneath it tones down the color to make it very neutral---great for an everyday or office look.
Peace--a shimmery bronze. Okay, I admit I'm a sucker for almost any bronze eye shadow. But this is purrfection (sorry, I couldn't resist). I use on the lid or in the crease. It's a medium bronze--shimmery w/o glitter, not too dark, no red tones. Like I said purrfection (you're still reading, right?)
Joy--a matte medium brown I use for liner. I like this shade because it's not too dark, most brown matte shadows end up looking black. I have used this both wet and dry as a liner and I think I prefer wet---it lasts all day!

Packaging: Sleek black case with whimsical Cat logo. Large pans, comes with an e/s brush. Good size for travel. I appreciate and use the instruction sheet that came with it too.

Price: I paid $40 on HSN and the palette came with a nice, very soft bronzer/blush brush. I would have paid the $60 price as this palette is THAT good.

Truly, I ADORE this palette. I like to just stare at it, it's so beautiful. In my opinion, it is suitable for all skintones, and a lot of palettes claim that but this truly is. I can use a wash and tone everything down to get a neutral natural look or ramp it up and even go smoky for night. My very, very, very favorite palette was Lorac Snake Charmer but Hello Gorgeous has replaced it. I'll really miss that cool cardboard arm band that with came with Snake Charmer though----NOT!!!!!

I really want to try more of Cat's line, I'm very impressesd with the quality and price. My next purchase will probably be a lippie or two.

Thank you Cat!
