I am absolutely in love with this. I see people writing that it smells like toothpaste? It definitely does not. To me it smells exactly like white chocolate peppermint bark. Which is probably the vanilla tricking me, but I'm seriously loving this. My aunt got the lotion and the shimmer spray for x-mas and i seriously just sat there huffing it for the longest time. I'll have to buy some for myself.

This smells so different from the lotion to me. It has like an off smell. I LOVE the lotion.

I am reviewing the 2012 Christmas seasoned Shimmer mist. I own many various versions from the years before and ... Each year, the scent is tweaked somehow, very slightly in longevity or more sweetness, more mintiness, depending on the variant of the batch.

This is actually quite strong, and long lasting on my skin, especially when moisture hits. It's quite startling when I burst into the shower and the scent comes straight up to my nose again.

However, I do like the sublety of this scent as it settles on my skin throughout the day. Albeit very sugar and sweet, it is not a sugar-based scent, which I like since many perfumes of that sort usually are cloying (Think Britney Spears Fantasy or the Pink Sugar? Not my taste since I get headaches.)

I love this. I might be biased as it is the ONLY other scent I enjoy from BBW other than spearmint and eucalyptus. But this is one I keep going back to every holiday season! As you can see, I do enjoy the tingle and the sting it has on the skin as I have been a fan of mint for years.

And the cute polar bear packaging this year did not help. I absolutely love polar bears to a T! They hold a sentimental value to me. Pink and bears. Thank you BBW!

On another note, I do feel there is an age limit to this scent. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to smell rather young, perhaps even juvenile to an extent.

I absolutely love candy canes and to smell like one with this splash of peppermint. It makes me feel refreshed as all body splashes do. It smells amazing, although when I first sprayed it on me it smelled a little plasticky. It wore off once it dried though. This product was $14 in CAD which is their normal price. The packaging is so cute! Ad I would definitely buy this product again, if I ever run out!

I have the fragrance mist of this, yummmmm. Smells so yummy! My only issue is I wish it was a bit stronger and longer lasting.

I wanted this so bad and finally got it free during the BOGO plus another coupon code. I'm so glad I got it. It's a great fresh pick up any time during the day! I admit, the first spritz on smell toothpastish but the dry down is lovely. You are left with a sweet peppermint that has some vanilla to it. not like sugary candy at all. more like fresh yet warm peppermint if that makes sense. i hope i can scrounge for some more of these at the semi annual! want to try the lotion too. the kind in the squeeze tube!

This review is for the Holiday 2011 Fragrance Mist.

One word: LOVE

Someone at work had this on, walked past me, and that was it... I had to have it. My local BBW was out of the lotion, which I really wanted, so I got the fragrance mist, buy 1 get 1 free. Then my coworker gave me some of the lotion - which is awesome!

It's a yummy, vanilla-y peppermint scent with a little something extra - so it's not just straight up cloyingly sweet candy.... there's some actual "perfume" to this after you get through the top & middle notes.

Pretty good staying power for a fragrance mist too. The lotion feels slightly menthol/minty on my skin, which I don't particularly love because I tend to be sensitive, but it diminishes after a few minutes.

OH MY GOODNESS I love this body spray! It's so freakn delicious.. I actually went to bath and body works like perhaps two months or so after Christmas and well when I asked one of the girls working there if they had this scent they had told me it was limited edition and it's only available during Christmas. But she was too nice and she said she would check for me because she thought she had seen two bottles left! She went to go check and thank goodness! She had two bottles awaiting for me "-_-" yeyy I was so excited. And I got them for I think 3$ wooowwwww amazingly too cheap! So I got both left! And I love them. It smells so good I always get complimented they always say what's that smell who smells like that it smells so freakn good :) it has like a Monty candyish smell yummyyyyyyyy love it. Not just great for winter but all year round! That's if they last next time I know to buy plenty of bottles !

Among one of my favourite BBW scents, it has peppermint with a sweet note. I love it! I also use this as a room spray sometimes (alternate with Cucumber Melon- my other favourite). I don't use it too often though since it's not placed strategically convenient..

I can't get enough of this stuff, I hope they release it again at Christmas next year! I've always loved peppermint body wash (I like the candy cane one by Philosophy, it' what got my peppermint obsession started lol) and never thought I'd be able to find a peppermint fragrance, so I was beyond excited when I saw this, during the yellow sale for like 75% off no less! It really does smell like peppermint and has a very cooling sensation on the skin. I notice that as it wears a bit, the peppermint notes fade, and it smells like sugar, it actually reminds me a lot of Aquolina Pink Sugar. I like it for winter, we'll see how it wears in summer though, I like the thought of the mint but it may be too sweet for hot days. Overall, love it and wish I'd bought a backup!

I love this holiday scent!! It's not too strong and has a sweetness to it, like a candy cane. I love spritzing it on- makes me feel fresh and sweet lol. I never thought I'd be as into peppermint but I became pretty obsessed with this scent (And the lotion and shower gel). I'd totally get this again if I ever run out!! I'd also use this over the summer since it's a refreshing scent without being too harsh. Perfect mix.

Yummy! Peppermint candy canes with vanilla....it is refreshing and sweet smelling. The fragrance lasts exceptionally well for a body splash. I anticipate purchasing several back ups before these leave the store after the holidays.

This is my HG scent....couldn't get better than this! This whole line of T.P. is absolutely wonderful! Sweet vanilla and peppermint swirled together makes for an awesome scent!! I never thought I would love a peppermint scent, but I was wrong. This was the first year I ever tried it. I would always pass it up thinking there is no way I would like it. I am soooo glad I finally gave in and bought it this year!! I only got 2 lotions and splash's around Christmas and I used them up in a month! I was so upset I was out that I went and bought a whole 20 piece set off of Ebay!! lol The 3in1 and lotion are wonderful as well. I don't care for shimmer in my products but this one is so faint I don't mind. :)
I will buy this year after year. I use other things through the year but this I always come back to and never get sick of. Hope they never stop selling it at Christmas!!!!

I LOVE BBW......BUT this scent didn't impress me. It's like i rubbed a doublemint gum all over me. Maybe it's just me but the vanilla was so faint, almost absent in this scent. I like the packaging though, very cute christmas ball design. I probably should have gave this body mist a 2nd chance to see if I'll grow liking it, but to bad I gave it away already. Festive Vanilla Fig, Yuletide Pear Vanilla and Harvest Berry are my BBW holiday favorites.

This stuff drives me absolutely insane...in the best way possible! The scent is of true peppermint candy canes. Absolutely delicious, fresh, & comforting. It even lifts my mood. I don't detect ANY alcohol smell in this. On top of all that, its long lasting. 24 hours later & I can still detect the yummy peppermint on my wrist. MMMMM. :) I wish I bought more of these, & that they weren't only sold around the holiday season. :( Next year I'm going to be smart & stock up so I can have this as my year round HG fragrance. Its the only scent I never get tired of.

This is a review for the Twisted Peppermint Shimmer Splash. First of all I adore the scent, it's not to strong of a peppermint and you can smell the light vanilla-ish sugar smell. The glitter is very light and not gritty and doesn't make it uncomfortable to put on. This body spray has a cooling effect that I really like, although this isn't something that I use everyday... I to use this every once in a while.

**Please note that the product I'm reviewing is the shimmering body splash from the 2009 Temptations line**


I have become a Twisted Peppermint fanatic this year. I haven't tried a product that I didn't love so far. This body splash is no exception!


First off, Twisted Peppermint is one of the best fragrances from Bath and Body Works. At first, I didn't think I was going to like the scent. I've tried my share of minty scents. While they're good, they all smell the same to me. Twisted Peppermint, however, is very different. It has a wonderful mix of peppermint and vanilla. It smells exactly like a candy cane!


The scent is actually quite strong for a body mist. It lasts for a decent amount of time, and it lasts even longer if you put body lotion on first and layer it. One of the best things about the Twisted Peppermint line is the cooling sensation it gives after applying it. It feels very refreshing and clean! I can picture myself using this scent during the Summer to relieve myself of the hot and humid weather, too.


Shimmering body splashes or lotions don't really thrill me for the most part. Most of the time, the glitter is too much and I end up making myself look like a 6 year old who spilled a can of craft glitter on myself. Not attractive. The Twisted Peppermint body splash is entirely different though. There isn't too much shimmer; I think it looks quite subtle. The subtlety of the shimmer is a very lovely touch for the holiday season. I didn't think I was going to like it at first, but I do!


The packaging is adorable too. It looks like a Christmas ornament this year! I hope the packaging is similar to this in 2010. I already bought quite a few of these to give as Christmas stocking stuffers. Like I said, they look very cute!

I didn't get the full effect of this fragrance until I sprayed it on myself a few times. At first I thought it wasn't nearly minty enough and it smelled kind of generic. However, now I think it really does smell like a candy cane -- a nice combo of minty and sweet. The sweetness is perfect too ("white sugar and vanilla") is exactly how it smells, and as the mint fades the sweet smell is left. It's not a rich, sickening vanilla though, but a super light candy cane one. I get a temporary cooling sensation on my skin when I use this. Even though the product looks extremely shimmery in the bottle, I have literally sprayed this all over myself and haven't seen much shimmer to speak of on my skin - maybe like one or two particles! Cute packaging - I love red and pink. My husband thinks it smells like cotton candy. I went and got the 3 in 1 in this scent too and it's equally amazing. I use it as shampoo and body wash. I can't get enough of this scent.
