I have this in clear and picked it up at a local Mitsuwa (think I paid about $16 for it). The lip silicone hides all the wrinkles/grooves on your lips giving you a plumpier looking lips. It works really well over my Mac Peachstock lipstick or my Benefit's lip tints.

i love this lip gloss a lot. i had it in clear and always received a lot of compliments on it. (my friends were always asking why my lips looked so incredibly wet and shiny.) i decided to give the coloured glosses a try when i was in japan recently. i bought all of them at about 12usd each and was quite disappointed. while the hi-shine quality remains, there was virtually no colour payoff, except for the deeper bronzey-beige colour. these glosses have no smell or flavour, which might be a plus for some of you. i like my lip gloss flavoured and i found another lip gloss from sony b&c that fits the bill. they are packaged like lollipops and available in clear, reddish-pink and i think the other colour was a peachy-beige. i bought one in clear and it is just as glossy as the lip silicone but it is champagne-flavoured (tastes a bit more like grape candy though).

$16 and can be found in Japanese supermarkets or specialty shops. No tingle for plumping effect...but does make lips look plump. I have the milky pink one...I think the only other colors is beige. Feels sticky when you first apply it, but then it isn't sticky feeling when you smack your lips together...feels more greasy....weird. Very moisturizing...I love the texture...feels thick and lasts long without icky feelings.
I have lines in my lips and this gloss doesn't settle in them but makes them disappear. The applicator looks like a plastic popsicle stick but I always wash my hands and apply gloss with the tip of my finger. I like this better than the usual doe foot application that touches the lips then contaminates the entire tube.
I love this lipgloss and I would totally repurchase. I don't think it is that expensive because the tube is chubby and you get a lot of gloss for the $16.

I'm putting a "no" for repurchase for now if only because i have twenty bajillion lipglosses that i'll probably never use up!

I picked this up at the SF Nijiya supermarket for approx $13 or 16 i think. Definitely very pricy, but i think that's more due to the import than the actual item price :\

that said, it's not a super special lipgloss at first glance. I originally felt it was a cheap drugstore type of lipgloss, but after a while i had to admit that it was much better. I have the color number 504, which I believe is the Milky Pink one (not sure, as i tossed the packaging, and the bottom just says MakeMania and Curvy Silicone + the color number).

I purchased it purely for the color. I've been wanting the sweet/pale pink color that so often frequent Japanese magazines (as opposed to the insanely red lipstick colors on American/Western magazines), and this is the closest as it gets (which makes sense, since it IS japanese!)

The applicator is a flat spatula rather than the typical Western applicator or the Stila brush type. I was weirded out at first, but now I admit that it is very easy to apply and get the dewey glossy look that I want, with far more control than the squeezy type of lipgloss dispenser.

It's said to "plump" but it DOES NOT do the traditional "plumping" that makes your lip tingle and actually make it huge. I have felt nothing when i apply it, except for moisturizing properties. It does look very plump, however, but I believe it's more an optical illusion involving the color and the gloss than any chemical plumping. So far this is the only gloss I have that gives this kind of affect without making my lips super numb. Big plus for people who want the plump look without feeling like you just got out of the dentist office after having your wisdom tooth pulled. :D

Packaging's super cheap, in a cardboard backing + plastic over the tube. As cheap as it gets, basically.

The gloss isn't as sticky as some people claimed, i think. I've used Clinique (their older stuff), Jordana, Victoria's Secret, and Stila. Sticky and consistency wise, i think it resembles Stila's Lip Glaze the most. It's not super sticky, but it is a bit sticky to make for good staying power. however it doesn't feel like you have a heavy coat of stickiness over your lips. more like a smooth glide of dewey cream or something. Definitely not unpleasant.

Unscented and doesn't have much of a taste (though you can taste a little bit). When i wasn't drinking/eating stuff after applying this, it lasted me maybe half a day. Definitely good staying power.

If you're striving for a more sweet/innocent/natural look ala Japanese styles, then you should definitely give this a try. Try your local Japantown supermarket/dollar stores. Since it's supposed to be Japan's newest craze, out of all the brands of makeup, this should be the one that makes it to US.

I absolutely adore this lipgloss!!!! Bought it on Bobodave in the (I think) Milky Pink shade. The packaging is really cute and portable. As other reviewers already pointed out, the gloss gives a high-shine, mirror-like finish that makes your lips fuller. To me the difference is pretty significant!! My lips seem to look 20-30% fuller with this on and just look a lot prettier! I said I would repurchase but probably when I happen to be in Hong Kong cause ordering things online is a bit of a hassle!

I love this lipgloss and have it in Mellow Beige, Milky Pink, Vinyl Pink and Clear shades. I originally bought, tried and loved the clear so expanded my collection.

The things I love about this gloss:
-the spatula tip, which allows me to evenly spread the gloss over my lip surface, and clean the applicator between uses so the gloss doesn't get contaminated by pigment if I'm layering over a lipstick or lipliner.
-the hi-shine mirror finish!
-the feel. The way I apply this gloss, I don't have a sticky, uncomfortable feeling at all, only a rich smooth pleasant feel on the lips.
-the portable compact size: i hate over bulky gloss tubes.

I usually apply a dab to my top and bottom lip and then use the slim side of the applicator to spread the gloss on my lip surfaces - kind of like spreading butter on toast. This way I get a lovely even surface and I don't overapply. I never get bunching or pilling. (I'm not the type that likes to wear too much gloss in one go anyway).

I like to wear the gloss mostly on its own or over lipstains for a pretty flushed look. The milky beige and milky pink shades are great hint of nude shades for me (I'm Asian, NC35) which look sophisticated without leaving me looking like corpse.

You don't get a lot of gloss in the tube, which i don't personally mind as I prefer to use up and buy fresh product frequently rather than have tubes of liquid lying around for months. The one thing I don't like about this gloss is the colour and feel of the bronze plastic handle which looks and feels cheap and tacky to me.

I have this in the clear (501). I love the applicator, the high shine, and its ability to even out the color of my lips. As for its claims to plump the lips, i dont think its true. The reflective quality of the gloss just gives the ILLUSION of fuller lips. I wont repurchase this for that purpose but I will because I like how it neutralizes the redness in my lips.

Makemania Curvy Lip Silicone is a lipgloss made by B&C Laboratories Japan. It comes in a curvy plastic tube which holds 7.5g of product. It retails for about $12USD which isn't so bad considering a MAC lipglass contains only 4.8g and retails for $14USD. It comes in five shades: Mellow Beige, Milky Pink, Vinyl Beige, Vinyl Pink and Clear.

Instead of a traditional doe-foot applicator, this gloss has a plastic spatula. At first I was worried it would be hard to apply gloss with a spatula, but it really isn't very difficult at all. It is the formulation of the gloss that makes application difficult. It is fairly thick and if you apply to much, the colour will bunch up and look gross. This is easy to fix though, just swipe your finger over the bunched up parts and it will smooth it back out.

I bought the colour "Milky Pink" a bubble-gum pink with tiny shimmers. The gloss has an odd fruity smell (the website says "raspberry milk" scent) which I really do not like. It's not super strong, but I really prefer unscented glosses. It applies on the sheer side and really does make your lips seem fuller due to the high gloss finish.

Overall it is a nice gloss, but not a particular favourite. Maybe if they released unscented versions I would like it better...

Gave into the hype and ordered this in clear from an eBayer in Singapore. I have fairly full lips...not Jessica Alba/Angelina Jolie/Scarlet Johannsen big, but full enough. But I read some raves here and elsewhere about this stuff and decided to try it.

Anyway, I put this on and found that it made no difference whatsoever. My lips did look shinier, but in a somewhat greasy way. I know that it's not a 'real' lip plumper and it's more about giving the illusion of fuller lips, but honestly, any shiny, clear lip gloss will do the same thing as Curvy Lip Silicone. My Maybelline Clear Lip Polish, in my opinion, is a superior product, with a cushier, gel-like texture and it's cheaper and easier to find in the States. The Sony stuff is pretty thin and runny and tends to wander outside the lip line. And the little spatula applicator is easy to clean, but makes it a little difficult to apply gloss, especially on top of another lip color. The pluses are that it has no discernible scent or taste and didn't irritate my lips.

In short, this was not worth it and I regret wasting my money. Don't give into the marketing hype or the rave reviews!

This product has created an absolute cult in Asia - particularly in Taiwan and Japan.
I'm from Australia - it isn't available here (my aunty sent it over to me), but it's damn amazing.

This product is a lip plumper, but it doesn't make your lips tingle and such, but still has amazing results. Your lips feel wonderfully soft and glossy afterwards, and it lasts for a long, long time, and looks aaaamaaazzinggg!

I would buy it - if only it was available in Aus!

I bought this while I was in Hong Kong. I read that this was one on the top selling lip glosses in Japan and had to try this. It is cheap, I paid about $14 SGD for this. I bought them in pink and beige. I took out the pink one to try and absolutely hate it. I can't get it to apply properly on my lips. It bunches up and leaves a very unslightly glob of product on my lips. I tried it with bare lips which didn't work, I tried it over balm and that didn't work too. Boo! What a total waste of money!

This review is for the Clear shade. I was intrigued at first, for this is the famed million-selling lip gloss in Japan. The packaging is drug-store quality, although I found the voluptuous shape of the tube and champagne-colored cap cute. Quality-wise, it's a good lip gloss--capable to stand on its own or layered on top of colored lip colors without fail. The applicator is innovative too. It's a plastic spatula that's easily applied on the lips. You can wipe it off to clean from time to time, unlike the usual sponge applicators that come with lip glosses. Overall, this does it job well, like an efficient secretary. There is no surprise why it won over the Jap beauty market. Practical, excellent, and cheap to boot.

I´ve bought both the clear and the pink(Pink Passion)on Ebay, and I think it´s one of the best lip glosses I´ve ever tried!

The consistensy is between Dior Addict gloss and swedish brand Makeup Store´s Pot Gloss.
The staying power is great.

The applicator is a wand spatle without any sponge on,
which gives precise application and doesn´t smear off any previous applied lip liner or lipstick-great!

Plumping?
Naaah!:)
It doesn´t tingle or makes our lip swell up at all,but the thick(not sticky)formula makes lip look bigger(and smoother).

The clear version has very small shimmer particles in it that I can barely see.

The pink one is more of a warm/coral pink than berry/fuchsia,
which the pic´s and packaging is leading you to believe.
But the tone of soft pink with small gold particles is flattering on anyone. This goes perfect with Nars Orgasm blush, but I use it with cool berry tones of blusher.

Just lovely, will buy more of these!:)

Another product I bought on my trip to japan - i don't know the price of this one either!
I got the clear version, and I think this is just like clear lipglass, with a better applicator. I like the spatula alot, but like clear lipglass, it's very sticky and hard to get off. I would get this instead of clear lipglass because of the applicator, and I think it's a bit cheaper, but I probably won't be able to get my hands on this anytime soon here in the US.

overall: an o-k product, it sorta gave my lips a slight plump... sorta

I bought this in the color Melon Beige. This color is medium in pigment, and it is very sticky, slightly similiar to MAC tinted lipglasses in pigment, scent and texture. It has a faint vanilla scent, and when you try to remove it with a facial tissue, the tissue tears and you get bits of tissue stuck to your lips ><

It feels like having Elmer's glue stuck to your lips :( that said, I have a lot of MAC lipglasses, and I think they are more useable and less sticky than this one.

This has an spatula type applicator, not a doe-foot or brush. This can sometimes make application tricky, as the product is very goopy. I had like 2 smears on my first application, and I'm normally very accurate with lipgloss application.

I would not recommend this if you are going to be kissing someone, it might be kind of gross :(

As for the Plumping effect, there was none, but the shine is incredible. I paid about $11 USD for this, on adambeauty.com
