I've been wanting to try Principal Secret products for YEARS but never wanted to join a "club" to do so. Well, I scored a couple of the Advanced Gentle Enzyme Treatment Tubs (unopened) at auction a couple of months ago and have used this product several times.

I do LIKE this product but not enough to pay full price. It seems to even out my skin tone somewhat. It certainly helps brighten my complexion. It removes dull surface skin. I don't really think my skin is softer but it seems smoother post use. However; I really feel that I get superior results with Good Skin's Citra-Peel Pads if I leave them on for 15 - 30 minutes before using the neutralizer pads (not 5 minutes).

So, I can recommend PS Gentle Enzyme Treatment IF you get it at a good price (about half of the $32 plus retail). I'm uncertain if they actually have this particular item but they still have an enzymatic mask.

3 Lippies for being a good, not great, but good skin care treatment (after several uses).

This is a great mask for smoothing and softening the skin; It's a quick fix and a good extra boost for when your skin isn't feeling that great. The directions say to spend a while massaging the mask onto your skin so that it goes creamy - I feel this is a vital step in the softening process. It seems to remove any dead cells on the surface very gently and leave the skin softer and glowy.
I don't use it religiously, maybe just once every couple/few weeks when my skin needs a boost. I use a separate mask for detoxing/drawing out impurities (Sanctuary Charcoal Warming Detox mask is great for this - available from Boots in UK).
Most important about this Principal Secret mask is that it really is gentle - I have sensitive skin and avoid using anything too harsh or fragranced, and this doesn't irritate me at all.
Only gripe with this is the packaging... surely a tube would have been easier if water is not supposed to get in this product?
I have repurchased this many times but am holding off buying any more at the moment - purely because I'm intrigued by the Queen Helene Mint Julep mask, based on its cheap price and crazy amount of good reviews on here. Will keep you posted!!

This is my favorite beauty product in the world! After using it, my skin looks remarkably smooth, clear, and bright. I have ultra-sensitive skin and this doesn't irritate at all. I use it once a week and sometimes if I have somewhere special to go, I will use it that morning.

I recently went to a dermatologist's office for some other issues, and the nurse couldn't believe how old I was and said I probably get that a lot. I told her about this treatment and she said she wondered if that was why my skin looked so great!

I absolutely love this product. This is the first time I've used it and I left it on for quite a long time and when I washed it off, I've never seen my skin look more radiant! My pores were completely cleaned out and look almost invisible - and this is such a feat considering I have large pores and blackheads which I have tried a gazillion products to no avail. This one actually works like magic! My skin also feels much smoother and finer. And all that after 1 application! I'm just about to purchase my second jar to start stocking up on it. Definitely a keeper.

I have never been disappointed in Victoria Principal's products. I have been using her products for about 2 years now, and my skin has never looked so good. This gentle enzyme treatment is amazing. I have sensitive skin, and this does the job. I use it once every 2 weeks and my skin feels so soft and radiant. Everytime I have tried another skin care line, I always go back to Principal Secret!

I absolutely love this mask. It leaves my skin soft, clean, fresh and healthy. It is gentle and doesn't irritate. I have mild rosacea and continued use of a number of Principal Secret products has really helped keep the redness to a minimum. Its worth every penny to me!

This does not have argirlene in it so I used it. I have combo/sensitive skin. This is a great enzyme cream, it smells light and goes on great (read the directions). I put it on then steam my face with chamomile tea and it works great. My all time favorite enzyme creams are; Pevonia Enzymo-Spherides Peeling Cream, Elemis Papaya Peel, and this Advanced Gentle Enzyme Treatment from Principal Secret.

Several weeks ago something reset on here and I've lost my password, so here's my first review under my backup account... What a pain?! Anyway, I bought a tub of this off eBay after reading the good reviews here. I've only used it once and my mum's used it once too. For reference I have sensitive combo skin and this didn't cause any irritations. Not exactly sure if I had used it correctly as I don't have any instructions to follow. So I washed my face then spread this on and waited 20 mins before rinsing off. The initial effect is really quite impressive. All pores have shrunk and my skin looked really refined. It does leave a white cast if you don't wash off thoroughly. I was able to have this better complexion for about 2 days and then I had this strange peeling of skin, sheets of skin was coming off my face, but once they came off it looked perfectly fine. So why have I given it an overall rating of 5? This works brilliantly for my mum who doesn't have weird sensitive skin like I do. This makes her skin smooth and significantly less lined. I will keep using it because I'm not sure the flaking is completely to do with this as I've changed practically everything in my daily routine. So yes, will repurchase. Edit 20/07/07: No, even the 2nd time I used it I noticed it was doing something strange to my skin... but on the 3rd try the skin on either side of my mouth became really irritated and big white bumps had formed. Not breakout type of bumps, but like insect bites! Well, that's the last time I'll ever use it... but it still works very well for my mum so I've changed the rating to 3 lippies.

Very effective enzyme treatment. I've paid a lot at a spa for this type of papain enzyme treatment and the results are the same. My skin is very soft and toned and looks great after using this. I have sensitive/combo skin.

This is the greatest enzyme product I ever have used! I have very sensitive skin and actually could not use any of the PS skin creams because they made my overly sensitive skin red and itchy. So here comes PS' peel product and it gives me super smooth and evenly toned skin without an iota of irritation or reaction from my skin. Highly recommend this for all of us 'sensitive' types!

I just love this. It's SUPER gentle on my combo/oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin & it leaves it feeling silky smooth. I've tried several high-end exfoliators, & I've finally come to realize that I was abusing my skin, rather than helping it. This doesn't cause any irritation at all, & REALLY removes the dead skin off my face. I only use this product for exfoliation now, once per week, & I'm very pleased with the results.

This is the only product from the PS skin care line I wanted to try, so I got it from the eBay. This is an awesome product and does the job. After one treatment my skin became so bright, soften, and many of my blackheads are gone. Wow! At the first try, I put too much cream and struggled to wash it off. The enzyme is actually very stubborn to wash off--I ended up using Pond's cold cream to wipe them off. So the next time, I will use much lesser amount. Other than that, I had no problem. This did not give any problem to my combo, very sensitive skin.

I read so many good things about this, but it is very hard to just purchase the one product, so I resorted to Ebay. Although this product is quite expensive through Guthy Renker, there are a lot of reputable sellers on Ebay with very reasonable pricing. I think I paid about $10-$14. Definately worth that!

It has an "interesting" fragrance, but not irritating, easy to apply (I have no trouble with the tub), does not burn or tingle (even though I always forget to take it off after 20min) and rinses off easily. My skin is always so soft and lovely after using this. I like this a lot better than a pumkin enzyme mask sample I tried. I exfoliate 2-3 times a week (alternating with this, la mer, epidermx microdermabrasion, and a gommage type), so the smooth result is always pleasing (since it was not too rough to start with).

This is an excellent introduction to enzyme type treatments ... I would rebuy at some point, but as it is a pain to get here in Japan it will be a while.

This is a very pleasant mask to use. It is a very gentle exfoliant that really works. After using it at night I would sometimes wake up with scaly peeled skin spots on my face that could just be peeled off. And sure enough it was always on top of a blemish. I have since moved on to using Erno Laszlo line which when used together does a great job of exfoliating, so I don't need this product. But I would recommend it for anyone who can't use the ErL line, with sensitive skin unable to use a scrub. Good product.

I actually like this product. It smells good, won't irritate my skin, and my face look and feel very smooth and soft after washing it off after 20 minutes. I wish it come in a tube, so that I don't have to use the little spoon to get out the product, which must be kept away from water.

I've used some principal secret products off and on since they were introduced. Victoria actually makes some nice things. I, like everyone else, keeps putting things aside and trying something new. I continue to use this mask, stop for awhile, and always end up repurchasing it somewhere down the road. It is a thick white gooey cream (more pastey than cream) that you spread on your face dry, add water, and it becomes creamy. The water supposedly activates the product and the exfoliation using the papain enzymes. I don't know how much exfoliation it provides, but I always look great after I use this. Honestly, I use it less to exfoliate and more as a booster shot when I'm going out for an event or a special evening. After using this my face looks fantastic. Not sure about the long term benefit, but the immediate gratification is what always makes me repurchase this. It's a bit perfumey, and the scent is hard to describe and may annoy some. You get use to it though. This is one of those, "you need to try this" products I always sample off in little jars to my friends. But I only sell it as a, "try this before you go out Friday night" product. That's how it works for me! It comes in a jar, and SO would prefer a tube applicator although I don't know if that would work with the product consistency.

I did buy this product for about a year and I did have good results with it for a time. But for some reason it just stopped working. The price of this was so expensive, so I quit buying and found another product that worked better and is still working. It's just not worth the price.

After seeing the infomercial, and reading the reviews here, I decided to try this product. Off ebay of coarse, never would I pay regular price. Anyway, I have to see wow!! Victoria is right, it does remove dead surface cells. Right after I wash it off each time, I look up in the mirror at what looks like new skin. I mean I'm not saying every pimple and black head is gone, but it just looks like new skin. Hard to explain it but you have to give it a try. I've been only using it for 3 weeks, we'll see if it keeps working.

What an absolute find for me! It makes me pretty, firm, even toned and I do (honest to God) glow from within! I also love the continuous lift, eyesaver gel and continuous moisturizer!
