I bought the Sephora Facial Brush because I wanted to buy the Clarisonic but I wanted to test out a facial brush to see if my skin really needed it. I got it from the Sephora in Boston in the Prudential Center. The brushes aren't really packaged they come with a plastic cap that goes over the brush. The brush feels pretty durable, the bristles are not too hard or too soft. The brush is about $3 which is great since the Clarisonic is hundreds of dollars. I used the brush with a Cetaphil cleanser day and night everyday (which is probably too much). It made my skin feel very soft and cleansed. It also gave me a really nice glow! However after using the brush for a few weeks I started to get some irritation on my cheeks probably because I was overusing the brush. All in all for $3 it does a great job of exfoliating, cleansing and making your skin glow. After using it, it makes me think I should purchase a facial brush that is battery operated just to see the difference, if there is any.

I needed something that would exfoliate my flakey oily skin without irritation. I've been using St. Ive Apricot scrub, but it was too harsh. Then I switched to Neutrogena scrub (the natural one) and it was too fine. This is perfect! I use it in the morning before applying makeup and it goes on smoothly. I use it at night to get the makeup off and OMG I'm surprised there was still a lot of makeup on my skin even though I used wipes and everything!

Best money spent in a long long time!
I have always had trouble with ashiness around the mouth in the colder months. I have tried many products from exfoliating scrubs to power cleansers (clarisonic-esque products, although i have not been able to justify spending $200 on a facial cleansing tool) and no other has been this effective! It brushed away all the dead skin without being abrasive (I also have cystic acne which leaves me with lots of dry patches as well). The bristles are soft yet firm enough to to the job. Although it is not abrasive, I would not use this everyday for the same reason you wouldn't exfoliate everyday. Also, if you are like me and have acne troubles, I would thoroughly wash the brush before/after every use. Overall, I think this was money very well spent. I got this on sale for $3 but I would gladly pay full price ($5) on the next one, if this is not being discontinued.

I will preface this by saying that I've only used this brush once, but I had to write a review right now because I am so impressed and surprised by how well this little brush works! For $5 I wasn't expecting too much, but the brush is a nice little tool that's handy to keep in the shower. The bristles are soft, and unlike other reviewers, I didn't find them too abrasive or harsh. The fact that this brush is just a simple handheld thing allows for great user control (so you can press harder or softer if you need to). I will say that I agree that it's a little awkward around the nose area, but I feel like this is excusable. I've never used anything like this before, and I'm so glad I made the $5 investment. All of the flaky skin on my nose, which has been stubbornly there for as long as I can remember, is gone! After just one use! I also used a cleanser that usually leaves my skin very dry. However, with this my skin did not feel tight or dry at all! I even thought to myself that I could go without a moisturizer tonight if I wanted! I understand that this might not be a typical result, but I would encourage everyone to take the plunge and just try one since you hardly have anything to lose. I'll continue to update this after more uses.

I use this brush in the shower with some feminine wash on my bikini area to exfoliate and prevent ingrowns. Works very, very well.

I bought this a week ago and have been using it every night to ensure that my makeup is removed and to exfoliate. I feel like it opens up my pores and that my night moisturizer works a lot better. It got rid of the bit of flaky skin around my nose (either due to the brush or the fact that my moisturizer absorbs more). My skin also looks brighter overall. I had been considering the Clarisonic after it was used on me while getting a facial but for $5, I'm very happy with this product.

This brush is very soft on the skin. i reccomend putting under warm water first, just to soften it up. I use this brush sometimes, i wouldnt use it everyday because it would be to harsh on your skin. I use this when im in the shower, or when i am starting to get a lot of acne. This exfoliates well and gets rid of dry skin flakes and leaves my skin feeling really soft! When i am washing my face, my hair usually gets caught and gets in my face. Other than that, this is an okay brush! xx

Bought this as an alternative to the Clarisonic. Does its job well! I use it at nighttime to exfoliate. Overall, very happy.

I really like this, and for 5 bucks you can't go wrong. The bristles are flimsy and soft, but it's durable and gets the job done. It cleans deep, too. I'd recommend it to anybody.

The people commenting that this was too abrasive for their skin must either have extremely sensitive skin or were pressing extremely hard. I have moderately sensitive skin and this didn't feel abrasive in the slightest, in fact I felt like it might have been almost too soft, so I'm going to try pressing a little harder next time.
It works well for what it's supposed to do. I wasn't expecting anything near a Clairsonic or something amazing, but it helps my cleanser go further and go a little deeper into my pores than just using my fingers. Like others said, I wish the bristles were a bit shorter so I could have better control, and I actually found it hard to get in the creases on the sides of my nose and such. But overall, for 5 bucks, it's a good investment for people who don't need something very powerful like Clairsonic or need to save up for it.

I just can't shell out the money for a Clairisonic right now and I bought the knock off NutraSonic which was waaaaayyy too harsh for my skin (took it back). The in between time just washing my face with no tools, I noticed my skin was a bit rough and just didn't feel as clean. I love this little beauty! For $5 it really makes a difference on my skin. I love the fact that I can get that area around my nose too. I love this and I'm going to buy another just to keep in the shower.

I purchased this because, as amazing as a Clarisonic sounds, I'm only 19 and don't think it is necessary for me to have one just yet. Plus, it's so expensive! I needed something that would help to smooth out my skin a bit and deep clean it more, so I figured this would be great for that.
The brush definitely feels softer on the hands than it actually does on the face. If you're worried that this may be too rough when you first pick it up, chances are that you will find it way to abrasive once it's on your face. I find it a tad too rough, so I don't use it everyday, but as long as I'm gentle I usually don't become irritated from it. It really feels like it cleans down deep. It also does a decent job of sloughing off old skin, so my face always looks fresh and smooth after using this.
This brush is about $5 and so far I like it. Not amazing, and probably not nearly as amazing as a Clarisonic, but I think it is worth trying this out if you are seriously checking out a Clarisonic, or if you refuse to pay for one!
I just bought Olay's Pro-X Cleansing Brush for $25 (I had a coupon) and it is so much better than this. Obviously, it is more expensive, but it works so much better. The brush head on the Olay brush is more soft and not as abrasive, but it still really cleans well. I would seriously recommend saving the $5 that the Sephora brush will cost and putting it towards the Pro-X system :D

Update: FOR its price(compared to Clarisonic or OLAy PRox) it removes dead skin and make-up!!! It's not the best facial brush you can get in the market(uhmm 5 bucks?, hello!) but it does wonders on my skin. When I use my make-up remover , I thought my face is clean(no make up traces with naked eyes) but when I used this, I saw a debris of my foundation in the bristles.. and that only means it cleans better than the usual make up remover, facial wash and water. I read some reviews that it can be a lil bit abrasive but actually you control how hard you pressed it in on your face. I am very happy with this one!
I use this everyday in the shower and I noticed that my skin has brighten up everytime. Very cheap but the down side is I don't really like the cap because it doesn't close at all. Other than that its a decent product!

This product sucks. It is too harsh for my sensitive skin and not soft at all. When I used this, my face looked and felt worse!

I just purchased this today, and tried it out as soon as I got home, and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!
I first cleanse my face, and then put more cleanser on the brush and exfoliated my face. I loved how the bristles were flimsy, but hard enough to really get off the dry patches and dead skin cells. My face felt unbelievably clean afterwards. Unlike my Neutrogena exfoliators which feel like it just strips my face of moisture and causes more damage than good. I will be using this for FOREVER!!!!
I think anyone and everyone needs to buy this, and for $7 Canadian, it is completely worth the price!!!!

While it feels very soft on the hands it can be a bit too abrasive on the face. I can not use this on my cheeks as I find it too harsh, but I do use it on my T-zone with as little pressure as I can. The shape makes it quite awkward to use around the nose area and I find myself having to breath through my mouth as I am brushing my nose since it is awkward and makes the cleanser foam up right over the nostrils.
I also found the handle quite awkward to use and would have preferred to grip the brush at the back rather than having a handle. I also felt that the brushes are too long, which makes the brush hard to control. the long bristles give too much of a discrepancy between the base of the brush and the ends of the bristles, so while i am moving the brush in large circular motions, the ends of the bristles that are making contact with my skin is not following my hand motion very well.
I ended up using this for my neck and decolletage area and much prefer my little silicon face scrubber/brush, which Sephora sells their version of for five dollars. I got mine off ebay for a dollar.

It feels soft when i bought it from the store, but its is so rough on the skin when using >_<. I don't recommend it for any one, well, ones with sensitive skin.

I'm pleasantly surprised by this product. I was looking for a basic tool or scrub to help with the dry flaky skin I have around my mouth and chin. I was disappointed at first because the bristles seemed too soft... But once I got the brush wet, lathered a bit of cleanser and started brushing in circular motions I could definitely feel it working. It's gentle, yet effective. I've been using it for about a week now and the flaky skin on my face is so much better than it was before. I definitely still need to find a good moisturizer, but until I find it this brush should keep most of the flakes under control. For $5 it's worth a try.

I saw this in sephora awhile back and decided to try it. The cap for the brush easily broke, the bristles are too long and it splashed water and cleanser all over my mirror... Will not repurchase.

I love this brush, I keep it in my shower and that's what I use when I'm in there to wash my face. I know another reviewer mentioned it will "spray" the face wash and water all over...which is true and why I only keep it in the shower. To me the bristles are just fine as far as softness, I think they are rough enough to exfoliate good but not sooo rough you feel like you are scrubbing skin off. I'd say you get more than what you pay for with this brush...I usually buy a new one after couple of months because the bristles do start to fray. But for 5 dollars this is great because there is NO WAY I will drop the $$ for a clarisonic. Great brush, no regrets, will continue to repurchase.
