I managed to get a great deal on this because my friend is working with P&G. Anyway, I apply this every night as a final step (no moisturizer afterwards, because I apply so much already). I really love how my skin is so soft. Been using this for more than a month, and I can definately see my pigmentation (from acne) lighten up. I will definately repurchase this. Everything from SK II has been working nicely on my skin. The only thing is the packaging, while I love how chic it looks, it'd be kind of hard to get the very last bit out of it.

Tried using this in the past for several months and didn't see much of a difference. Started using it again recently due to my determination to get rid of my increasing sunspots, this time in conjunction with the Bliss Sleeping Peel Resurfacing Gel (which is supposed to help make skin more receptive to other treatments) and within a few days, my spots have diminished by about 50%!!! I have used the Bliss Gel in the past as well so I know it's not that alone, but I am amazed and so, so happy! I have been trying so many different things over the years and was seriously considering laser treatments, so this is huge for me. I haven't introduced any other new products to my skincare regimen recently so it's either this or maybe my previous regimen is starting to kick in. But I really think it's the SKII. It is worth noting that I have been applying it more liberally this time and all over my face as opposed to spot treatments. Will continue to use and provide an update!

Other pluses - lightweight serum, easy to use, hygienic dispenser, pretty bottle :)

The purpose I use this product is to remove my red acne spots(I did not use the whole range of SKII so just this one). Although SKII product is famous for its unflattering smell, the liquid is nice and fast absorbed on my skin. I woke up with smoother and brighter face in the first day. after a week use, the acne scars are fading (not drastic to zero but I can see the difference). As promised, it did give a naturally radiant and translucent appearance and I did not experience any breakout like others had but its maybe because I am still taking Roaccutane. I know it's not cheap product but compared to have laser to remove the post acne scars(I need to have 5x times laser), perhaps spending money in this product is a wiser choice.

I first bought this because I read some reviews that it helped lighten their acne scars but unfortunately, after continous use for a week, my skin developed small red bumps+spots and although I read one of the reviewers say that it happened to her but she continued using it anyway, I'm too afraid to use it now. My skin has been acting up this year and it has just begun to 'heal' after several months of using Dermalogica (which works for me) so I don't think I'll be using this product anytime soon. Really a waste considering the price I paid for it.

I actually didn't notice any difference to my skin besides the red bumps and spots. There was no glow, shine, extra oiliness, dryness or whatever.. Made no difference whatsoever other than the spots.

For the record, I'm 21 with oily + acne-prone skin

Managed to purchase this at duty free and decided to get the larger bottle. I was initially a little hesitant about using a new product but almost two weeks in, I have nothing but praise!

My skin is generally finicky and oily in humid weather (painfully dry in drier countries), and having suffered a massive breakout on my right cheek last year I'd been looking for ways to remedy the acne scars (laser, peels, you name it, i've tried it all with varying, disappointing degrees of success) and this has turned my skin around - my complexion is more even now, the scars are less obvious and i have to use less makeup to cover up. I've been so self conscious for the past few months and only wish I'd come across this earlier!

The price itself might be a turn-off but the results are well worth it. I find a little goes a very long way, two drops in the day before sunblock, and two at night before bed.

I love it and hope it continues to work its magic!!! :)

I bought this mainly for overall whitening eventhough I have a lot red marks due to acne breakout.. at first I only use it once a day.. I did experience some purging when I first started, maybe because I was starting 2 new products at the same time.. even with only once a day usage, I feel my skin is fairer n brighter.. then I decided to use it twice a day.. I experience another purging this time in whitehead forms.. it took about 2 weeks before my skin is getting better.. with twice a day usage even my red marks reduce a lot, I definitely have gone 1 shade from my original foundation shade and my skin is glowing.. I'll definitely buy it again.. was interested on the new whitening serum, Cellumination Essence but I heard that it only brightens not whitens the skin.. so if you want to get a fairer skin get this one first ;)

It really did nothing much for removing dark spots as i dont have any to start with. I would say its OK for maintenance for daily skincare regiem to prevent age spots or skin darkening.

but its surely a very GOOD light weight moisturiser with you know some whitening properties to make you feel good about spending so much on it.

radiance & translucency YES as well - my skin's clearer somewhat after 1 mth's use at night.

if its heavily on promotion - i wont think twice about getting this as my moisturiser.

I really did not see much improvement in my age spot and overall skin tone. But I must say it does leave my skin quite soft. It's much too expensive for me to give it another round. And I almost did because Cate Blanchate was adversing the "Essence". I have finished using a total of $500 of SKII, and I stumbled on an extremely effective skin care line called Love Renaissance, also about $500 when I was done at the cashier, but it is so worth it!

I've used it for a week, haven't seen whitening effects but my skin feels sooooo soft after I've used it. I dont find it hydrating enough and I have to use a moisturiser afterwards.

It's an alright product but probably won't repurchase as for the price I was expecting amazing results.

I received a sample of this product which only lasts 2-3 applications. Because of the small amount, I only used it once a week until it ran out. It made my skin smooth, soft and even-toned. No break outs as a result of use. I have not noticed any whitenning effect - this could be due to the short-term use or because I am pretty pale to begin with.

The only reason I would not buy again is because it is so expen$$$$ive! I will keep trying to get samples :-)

I just started using this product for a week. I like the texture easy penetrate to my skin. I use it day and night. I feel my skin look a bit more radiant than before but I can't see any reduce of my pimples scar and tiny brown spot because I just started using it. But I believe this product can work better to minimize my spot after using for long.

I’ve been using SKII product for almost a year now and I can really see my skin condition is improving. I have used Clinique and Shiseido whitening products but none can compare with the SKII dermdefinition. I use this product only night time and I can see that my acne scar is lighten up .. even my family and friend can see the different. SKII is truly a miracle product for me.

I'm using the 3rd bottle of this product and it's obvious that it worked but sadly, up until the second one. I'm half way through my 50ml bottle and I don't notice the whitening effect that I used to get. When I used this for the first time, it's so far the best of the best whitening product I've tried (out of many brands ie. Kanebo Blanchir, RMK, Sofina, Shiseido UV White/White lucent, Kose Sekkisei etc.).. My skin tone became so much brighter and I noticed that some acne scars and pigmentation were less noticeable. The serum is very light and absorbed quickly.. no grease which was perfect for my oily skin. I'm a bit sad that the effect doesn't continue as I'm becoming addicted to it so I now need to search for another whitening product =( But on that note, my auntie has been using it for 4 years (since the previous version) combining with the mask and she loves them =)

I have most of the SK-II range and love it, but I used this for about 3 weeks and it made no difference. I do feel it depends on the type of pigmentation you have whether it is sun damage, hormonal etc if this is going to work. Unfortunatley it didn't work for me, even laser treatment doesn't seem to shift it :-(

i like this gel like texture.does not caused any clogged pores on my skin.i felt this reduced sun induced spots better than pimple marks.
not only for whitening,it aids in collagen production as well.if i'm remember correctly,alcohol free too.

I pinched this off my mom cause I was starting to get some freckles due to the fact I didn't always use to use sunscreen. I heard SK2 products are more suited for mature skin but I used it to get rid of the freckles before they got worse. And this really works! I only needed to use this 1 time and the next day the freckles were virtually invisible!!

However, I only applied this to the trouble spots and now that patch is lighter than the rest of my face. Which is why I only gave it 3 lippies. I don't know if it's supposed to be used on the rest of the face and I didn't try cause I have sensitive skin but I did not break me out on the cheeks where I used it.

If you have the budget this is a good product because I haven't heard or used anything else which has such good results

I decided to try the entire SKII line and since I love serums, this caught my eye. I have some acne scarring and who doesn't want a brighter complection. I have only been using this for a week along with the skin refining night cream and I purchased the whitening cloth masks (only used one mask) and my skin is becoming more uniformed and brighter. Acne spots are getting lighter. I do believe these products are more for an oily skin type. This serum is suppose to increase hydration, if it does it is not a greasey hydration, it sinks right. I do use the night refining cream over it and I can see a diffenence. I can't wait to see the effects after a few more weeks. UPDATE: All of a sudden the last two days, my skin has broken out in tiney bright red bumps. Can't say for sure if this particular product is to blame. I tried the entire SK II line and I am stopping everything until this clears. I might introduce this serum to my skin to see if I can use it or I might just return it. I have a feeling the whole line is just not as good for me as I thought. I don't know why, my skin will love something new for about a week and then boom! Trouble strarts. It's frustrating.

i tried 1 bottle of this and it helps to reduce pigmentation,marks and even up skintone.sk2 claim that this penetrate deeper into skin to target dark spots and boost collagen production.
