The coverage was awful, and it took WAAAY too much to achieve the coverage I wanted. At the high price it's not worth it at all! I was so excited to try it, and it was a deep disappointment. It felt cakey, and didn't blend anything like bare escentuals.

I am currently on the 30 day trial and I was so excited to try it but I must say, NOT impressed at all. Not that it is a horrible product, but there is nothing special about it. Honestly, I feel like BE has better techniques and products so I'm probably just gonna go back to it.

i was so excited to try this but it turns out it wasn't for me. the package was nice! but the foundation is crap for dark skin-tones i don't recommend this product to anybody i know it came on all gray on my face just the worst the warmth is nice though and the veil is WAY too light im not tryna change my skin color .. but yeah thats my opinion raw mineral doesn't give no coverage but does make your skin feel smooth i have to say, thats the only positive thing.

Before I trash the product, I will say that their customer service is very good. My first package contained two Number 1 foundations, rather than a 1 and a 3, and they had the Number 3 to me within a week and restarted the 30 day clock.

Sadly, the makeup is not worth me switching away from Bare Escentuals. I have to mix the two shades in the kit (a pain), and the jars are too small for my kabuki brush. The brush that came with the kit was too small and hard. The morning after my first application, my face was covered with small red blotches. I thought it might have been a fluke, but I get red blotches whenever I use the product. It was more expensive than Bare Escentuals and just did not work for me.

This is the most remarkable mineral product I have ever put on my face. After I ordered this, I called the next day to cancel thinking it might be too dry- and too expensive! The lady on the phone was triple nice and we worked things out. I was very nice to her, too. My order came today, and I have never seen anything like it - my face looks wonderful. The packaging and everything was done with such care. I love this!!!

HELP!

I bought this, about 30 minutes ago, and THEN I read the reviews... I know, silly me.

Automatic shipment? How do I send it back without getting charged?! I don't care about the $5 that I paid for shipment as much as I do the $90 that I will get charged!

What do I do?

I am so upset over this whole thing. If you can get the free trial, the foundation isn't bad. The brushes are okay, especially if you don't have any or very many. My main problem is the customer service. I was charged the $90 even though I sent my return back weeks ago. Their response? We have no record of your return. And that's it.

This stuff is not worth the price at all and I have 3 mediocre-quality brushes and the foundation (I put in a little jar) for $90. I won't ever buy from this company again.

I, too, tried the trial offer last year and ended up returning the products and my credit card was not charged the $90.00. The brushes are okay - the retractable brush, as another reviewer commented, is very scratchy and I ended up it. The other 2 brushes were acceptable and not extraordinary. I, too, felt that their advertising was misleading as far as commitment to future shipments and their cost. I also didn't like the foundation powder because I found it extremely drying for my sensitive combination skin, most probably because of the inclusion of bismuth oxychloride. All in all, the products are not great and I would never repurchase.

All the negative comments on here are complaining about the "Free Trial" which is advertised on Yahoo. Yes, I do agree it is a bit of a scam but I have to admit it is great makeup. I ordered the free trial last year and decided to ship it back because I didnt want to pay the $90. But I got to keep the brushes! I poured the foundation into a small container because they require you to ship back the jars.I did not end up getting charged on my credit card.

Negatives:

Price ($90 USD) I usually just swap for the foundation on here or buy it off ebay for a lot cheaper.

Retractable brush is kind of still and doesnt blend well

Getting "scammed" into the deal

Positives:
I have trouble finding a foundation that doesnt look cakey on my skin. I do not have any wrinkles yet. I know some complained that the foundation sinks into fine lines but I dont seem to have that problem

This foundation makes my skin look flawless! Better than Bare essentials.

The brushes that they include are the best brushes I have ever used! They are very soft and blend the makeup perfectly!

Edit: Tried this just a handful of times. The color was all wrong on me, definitely give me a plastic sheen by midday. Broke out into tiny little bumps all over. Although to be fair, I did change to new hair products so it could have been a reaction to the hair stuff. Still, I will not repurchase.
--------------------------------------------
It was okay, not horrible, but nothing to write home about. I was going to wait a couple of weeks before writing up a review, that is until, I noticed the name of the only positive reviewer for this product is Christina Marcaccini...founder and creator of the product. What an incredible coincidence...

I will just say that there is no noticeable smell. Coverage requires a lot more powder than the Merle Norman Luxiva but it is not as glittery as the Luxiva. I am an NC30, olive undertone asian skin, and was matched with the Medium 1. Colour is not a great match, a bit rosy.
I will admit that the marketing scam encountered by others is very off-putting, and predisposes my expectations towards this product in a very negative way. I don't even want to wait a couple of weeks to return this now.

I went for the 30-day trial offer. Nowhere in the 30-day trial offer sign up do I remember seeing a statement indicating that I would be charged a whopping $90 at the end of the 30-day trial. I knew it was a trial offer, and that I would be charged something if I kept it, but if I had known up front that the charge would be $90, I NEVER would have tried this stuff. The price is simply unreasonable. So, I called the toll-free number to get a return authorization. Wow - I was first on hold in their voice system for about 10 minutes (notified I was 80th in line for service, with estimated holding time of 45 minutes), when I got cut off somehow. Called back in immediately and the system told me I was now 107th in line with a 48 minute wait. I called again a few hours later. This time, I got through, but after waiting 40 minutes on hold. I received the return authorization number and will return the product. Will update you on whether or not that goes through as promised. The price and the customer service problem alone prompts me to say buyer beware. The fact that there are obviously hundreds of people calling in on the returns line on any given day says something too, doesn't it? Think carefully before enrolling in the trial offer. It may be the best make-up you've ever tried, but if you find yourself in a position where you need to stop shipments or return something, there's a bit of a time commitment. It might be worth considering IF they were more up front about the price of the starter kit at the end of the trial offer - so you know what you're in for if you decide you just love this product. It wasn't for me, but some people think it's the best makeup they've ever used. My skin is very fair and very sensitive, and apparently, I'm just better off not trying to cover it up. Every wrinkle and age spot a badge of courage? ;-) UPDATE: I returned the product, my card was not charged, and I received an acknowledgement email from the company - OVER A MONTH AFTER I returned the product. I'm guessing they are overwhelmed with returns. I'll never try it again because of the price, and because of the 40 minute wait on the phone to actually speak to a service rep, not because of the quality of the product.

I never tried it, it's a good thing I didn't. I thank you guys for writing the reviews on this product, I was also a fool thinking well, it was FREE!! But until I learned it was a scam from you lifesavers, I know in my heart I won't ever fall for those cheap scams ever! Thanks again! Take that, to the only person who wrote a review on this product. I no longer use this product. I use Studio Fix NC45 by MAC since my acne has cleared up.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Update #3: I like this product but have decided that they are borderline scam artists. I told them that I was not interested in their product but would buy it separately rather than purchasing for $90/month. I kept the products and they gave me a discount of $45. I might have been persuasive to get that discount. It's a great product better than Bare Minerals which tends to be thick and powdery. The samples should last for a few months.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update #2: 4/20/2009 2:01:00 PM - Just read the latest update. Sorry to hear about your trouble. I am still on the free trial that ends on May 2nd 2009. So I will let you know what my experience is. Seems that a trial offer which you have to pay postage works for me. I cannot possibly order makeup because I live in the boonies, no MAC or Bare Minerals. The trial gives me an opportunity to try makeup without having to buy the product. So this offer was a good one for me. I will post my findings later. Good luck to other users and trying to get a refund, etc. Go to Glow.com for other reader experiences. (This is not an advertisement because there are lots of other sites like Makeup Alley. Might as well take a look what other people are saying.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Update: If you think this is free, then you are not reading their web site carefully. Its called a free trial! Which means you have at least 30 days to make your mind up. Just call them and tell them you do not want it anymore. Then return it. I will admit they make it seem like its free. To be honest, I really like this product. Too bad their marketing strategy sucks.
---------------------

Actually this has to be the best kept secret. I have dark brown skin which is oily and prone to break outs. I am not a representative of Raw Minerals. I used to use Bare Escentuals and found it to ashy and too dark for my skin tone. I used to mix three different foundations just to get the perfect match. This can get expensive.

This product is rather pricey when sold with the brushes, foundations (three) and Active (mineral) veil. However, I only used the Deep 1 and the Warm Mineral. The veil is okay. Don't need to apply a lot.

This product was found to be more pure than Bare Minerals. Raw Minerals are also better for the skin. Do the research.

Its not for everybody just like any makeup product, you have to experiment.

I definitely like this product. I only need the Active Veil and Deep 1. The Warm Mineral foundation is a plus.

Boy, was I a fool. I got this thinking it was FREE! NOT! $90 charge just showed up and I discovered they had put me Autoship program. I am returning my second shipment soon. The makeup is no where near as good as bare minerals.

I got the sample kit, and was sure to send it back quickly so as not to get charged again! This stuff is okay, but my least favorite of all the mineral make up I've tried. The color selection is very limited and the two I got, L3 and M1, were way too orange. They blended better than I thought they would and actually had decent coverage, but that didn't even last an hour. I would look in the mirror later and my make up looked awful, even after spraying Ben Nye Final Seal. There is no way I would pay $90 for this stuff. The veil it came with is okay, smells kinda weird. At first I liked the mineral glow, but that too doesn't last and the color changes after a little while on your skin. At least I got some brushes out of the deal, but even those aren't that great. I recommend Everyday Minerals make up and brushes way, way above Raw.

First of all, I think this stuff covers well and matches my skin nicely. I really like the brushes they included.

That's the good stuff.

On the not good stuff is the way this stuff magnifies the small fine lines around my eyes and in my forehead. It's awful. I end up adding more moisturizer over the powder foundation after I put it on. I don't know if all of the mineral foundations do this. Maybe it's just not for me. I'm going back to Lancome tinted moisturizer.

Honestly, I received this mineral foundation for free so I have no complaints about cost or shipping "scams". To those that said the product does not cover imperfections, I did NOT have that issue. Using a kabuki brush to apply this foundation is key and my complexion looks *flawless*. My only qualms are with the packaging (could be better) and the ridiculous price should I decide to buy it sometime.

I read all the negative reviews about this product, and I have to say I'm surprised! First, I love the convenience of the automatic shipments (I've been using for almost six months now) and it was easy for me to swap out shades until I found the best matches for my skintone (I ordered the medium duo and found the darker medium - medium 3 - to be too dark for me. I switched it to Light 3. Light 3 and Medium 1 are a great combo for my fair to medium skin). Having worked in prestige beauty for many years, I found the product to perform better than any other mineral makeup brand I've tried. Not only did I find the coverage and level of 'glow' to be fantastic (easy to get sheer coverage and just as easy to get heavier coverage when I need it), I love that the product is full of active botanicals that deliver real skincare benefits. That's something I haven't seen from any other mineral brand.

I've also tried some of the Raw Color products and Raw Skincare products. I love the Perfect Balance Concealer and Highlighter Trio. It's a great way to get additional coverage when I have a blemish and again, it's full of skin friendly botanical ingredients. I also love the Raw Skincare Daily Revitalizing Cream. It's a great consistency and my skin has never looked better (I always use this before applying my Raw Minerals).

Based on my experience, I would recommend trying this product!!!!

I agree w/ everyone that this company is crappy!!! I too ordered this product thinking that it was a free trial and after I submitted the order, it says that I was charged 30 something dollars, so I waited til the order and when I tried it, I absolutely hated it!!!! IT IS TRULY THE WORST mineral makeup I've ever put on my face. They also send U some skin stuff w/ the package but I didn't bother to try it so I send the product back right away, luckily I got my refund but the process took really really long. overall DON'T TRY THIS STUFF
