I think this is the Canadian counterpart of the persagel 10 that's only available in the states. This is a great treatment for acne, either be it for spot treating or just all over the face. It's always been my go-to product when my skin acts stubborn and I get multiple breakouts in every region of my face. I first used it two years ago when my first major breakout happened. This was a godsend to me! I started breaking out again two months ago and, surely, this was again proven to be a great product. It's very cheap and it lasts me months! I started my second tube last year December and it's not halfway through yet. I'm assuming it's going to last me another three months of usage. Six bucks for seven months? That's something to be thankful for! However, I know this is either a hit or miss for some. I've been lucky that this improves my skin but be wary that this will dry out your skin a lot. My oily skin got very flaky for two weeks until it adjusted to the persagel. I currently don't use it anymore because I have no major breakouts but if I ever do get a nasty pimple, this will again be my best friend.

This extremely dried out my skin and it took a while to clear up the acne spot. Basically, it cleared it up in a week, but left it so flaky and dry that it looked like I had some other problem in that same area. It looked worse than the acne. I felt like it came back within a few days after I stopped using this too. And I know everyone says that its not the treatment that leaves scarring, its the acne product, but this product seemed to leave more of a mark than other things I've used. The dark spot usually clears up after a while (month or so) but on a few spots I've used this product they haven't cleared up yet :(

I wear this twice a day and leave it on my face entire time. This might be the best bp treatment I ever tried. It doesn't leave any white on my face. I put it all over my face like cream(where ever I break out most) and that seems to be working a lot. My face has been a disaster for a couple long months now and after using this for the second week now, I am super happy. It is the best feeling in the world to see my face clearing up again and looking almost completely acne free:) I will continue to buy this. I also use clean and clear invisible salycic acid treatment. I wear this at night time when I sleep after washing my face from bp product, ill moisturize and apply salycic acid just like I did with bp. Clean and clear is great and im happy to know something is finally working for me. I also use proactiv renewing cleanser. I re bought it because I do think proactiv kept me under control but when I stopped ordering my face just became worse. I dont blame the Brand itself because before i broke out on my forehead and thats why i got proActiv to help Me. I never get any Pimples on my forehead anymore Even when i stopped using proactiv so it most likely has something to do With my bad diet. My body might not like dairy(milk)/coffee.. or just hormones. Not sure but these 3 products have been really great for me and it makes me happy that now when I go shopping I won't be buying a hundred different products for my acne prone skin cause now I have found what works for me and im going to stick to it. Hopefully this routine won't ever stop working lol. I also use a moisturizer that I find works for me. It's the green tea moisturizer by proactiv. I apply so little and it's been great. Hope this helps anyone out there suffering with acne. Try maybe my routine too :D but this product might be just enough to help out on its own. Good luck! And thank you clean and clear!!<3

I will never purchase this product again. It dried out my skin, made my breakouts worse and made my skin all itchy. It took me at least 2 weeks until my skin was restored from the affects of using this product :(
My skin is use to salicylic acid cleansers and when I used this, I broke out. It is wayyy too harsh on sensitive skin and does not work for me, does not work for everyone
Would not recommend. Rating negative 1,000

I really like this product! One tube will last be about 5-6 months and I use it every night to control my acne! I use this before bed after I cleanse my face with my clarisonic.
Even though it says to use this as a spot treatment, I just kind of rub it over the general area of breakouts. My skin isn't so sensitive. However, if you have sensitive skin, USE IT AS A SPOT TREATMENT. After using it, it will flake and leave your skin a BIT dry, so I don't recommend using this under makeup or before leaving the house in the morning. Just use this at home before bed.
I feel it actually soothes my cystic acne, so I use a more generous amount on larger blemishes.
I got this at walmart for about 7-8 dollars, so price is reasonable in my opinion :)

Very good product. Significantly reduces zits overnight. For whiteheads I would recommend ripping off the plug gently with your nails - no popping! - and then applying this, so it can penetrate better. If you really need a zit to go away overnight I would recommend first spot treating the zit with lemon juice. HIGHLY effective. Soak up a cotton ball with it and hold it on the zit for about 5 minutes, rewetting every minute or so. Don't use it all over your face, ONLY on the zit. Then after it's dried, apply this stuff. That advice aside, I always have the Persagel in my cabinet for emergencies. Works like a charm!

PROS
-Very effective
-Super cheap!
-Available at grocery/drug stores
-Say goodbye to pimples overnight
-------------------------
CONS
-Very drying - be careful!
-Not a miracle worker, but CLOSE
--------------------------
This is one of those products that I think everyone should have around. It’s good for alleviating emergency breakouts and treating stubborn pimples. I like that it is affordable, accessible and comes in a travel-size tube.
--------------------------
This product is geared towards people with light acne and people with occasional pimples. It is not intended to treat more serious cases of acne, however. For more reviews of acne products, see my blog at bit.ly/Lyxy1w

I bought this to get rid of hormonal acne that was forming on my chin area and I think as acne treatments go, this is pretty average. I don't think it doesn't work but I don't think it delivers anything WOW either.
I put this on my breakouts and I try to spread it around the entire area as well instead of dabbing it only on top of the whitehead or whatever breakout is happening.
It dries it out and brings any new breakouts to a head a little bit faster than it would on its own and thats it, nothing more for me.

I bought this product two weeks ago. It's the clean & clear persa-gel 5. It has 5% benzoyl peroxide. Most products have either 1 or 2% of this ingredient. It's a very small tube. It's a great product. It works wonders for my acne (I have combination skin). The only thing I do not like a lot is probably that when I first apply the product it feels sticky and uncomfortable. I can not use it every single day because it really dries out my skin. So I usually use it every second or third day.
update: This product does nothing for my skin anymore. It dries my skin out completely and just produces more oil no matter how little i put on. does not work for my acne.

I'm honestly surprised at how few will be repurchasing this product. I absolutely LOVE this product (mind you I can't find the persagel 10% anywhere, so I settled for the 5%). My best friend was prescribed this by a clinical doctor and she recommended it to me. I have been using this for the last year and a half. It's by no means a miracle, but it works really well regardless. Not super drying as long as you remember to moisturize. It takes sometimes up to two weeks for the pimple to flatten (and in most cases I'm left with a flat red dot that is easy to cover up and goes away on its own), however, I do see a reduction in size and redness of pimples after using this product over a few days. The cons: it's difficult to conceal under makeup and I don't recommend doing this. I apply it every single night, and let it dry before I go to bed. I also apply whenever I have any days off and I'm not going out anywhere. With that said, I go through this product rather quickly-every 2 weeks to a month, but I keep reaching for this product! I should also mention I have very sensitive skin so it took my skin a while to adjust to this product. If you haven't tried this product already, I would say its one you gotta try!

Wow. This is beginning to save my skin! I bought this about a week ago at London Drugs when I found out they took Panoxyl Aquagel off the shelves due to a flaw, and am I ever glad I found this! I was a bit hesitant at first because the tube was a bit small but honestly, you don't use much and I have severe acne. It has only flared up and become a problem in the last year and this is the only thing thats beginning to help it, and quickly too! I use it after I wash my face with PanOxyl 5 face wash, use dickensons witch hazel toner all over, then apply this to my spots and finish with Olay all Day moisturizer SPF 15 for sensitive skin with about 2 drops of jojoba oil in it. The jojoba oil keeps my skin from flaking and leaves a beautiful finish without breaking me out. My skin has gone from acne all over, to one or two actual red bumps and some smooth red acne marks from old acne (But that's how acne heals so I'm okay with it!) in just 4 DAYS! I will continue to use this for as long as its out there. It's finally giving my skin a chance to heal and I recommend this for anyone struggling with long term acne!

This is the product that I am now using to replace my past-used expensive, prescription acne night gel.
I'm glad I did my research and am thankful I decided to test this stuff before anything else on my list.
This 5% Benzoyl Peroxide treatment does a great job keeping my breakouts at bay and any existing
pimple tends to fade faster with it's use.
I like that it doesn't over-dry my skin- as long as I moisturize during the day, my skin will end up looking very healthy.
I'm happy with the ingredients this acne gel lacks (Fragrance, extra active ingredients, or alcohols), and very satisfied
with the price I'm able to pick it up for.
The only thing I'm not I'm not happy with, is all of the plastic waste that comes with
buying this product, I'm still trying to find a good use for the empty tubes.

New review;;
I do have to change my statement. After a month of using this I found it slowly stopped working. And now I'm stuck using my expensive C&C advantage spot treatment again.
-----------------------------
Old review;;
I usually use the 'Advantage Acne Spot Treatment' from Clean & Clear but decided to pick this up and in one night all my acne was gone!
It doesn't dry out my skin like other product's I've used and I am definitely going to buy this again. Nothing has worked as great as this.

This is probably the worst product I've ever tried. I bought this because it was A. Only 5$ B. I never tried a product with bezoyl peroxide C. Has a huge tube compared to other spot treatments. Salicylic acide stings when you put it on and its usually 2% and since this was 5% benzoyl peroxide I thought it would be painful but I didn't feel anything on my zits or anything I just felt they stayed longer so I stopped using this. 2 months ago I tried this once again I left it on for about 10 minutes before bed and I when I woke OMG!!!!! Wherever I put this product(which was about 5 zits) I had a bruise! And the zits tured into pimples which makes them X1000000000 more painful and they lasted about 2 weeks I couldn't eve hide these with foundation. First product I've ever thrown out because I didn't like it.

I've battled w/cystic&persistent acne since grade 7 or 8. I've tried a lot of over-the-counter topical creams/gels. Most worked but in about a week or so. This one works practically overnite. I just pop a zit, put this on and in the morning its size is halved. In a couple days, it's almost gone. I don't like how it seriously dries out my skin tho. Other than that, it's great

I LOVE this product. I stopped going to my dermatologist and needed a product with benzoyl peroxide and chose this one since where I live they don't have the persa gel 10 (which probably works way better) But this is pretty decent it's DIRT CHEAP I get a tube of mine for 5$. This really really really helps shrink my pimples and dries them up (I have moderate acne but break out in small pimples almost every single night). Bottom line, it gets rid of pimples and is dirt cheap. Too good to be true? Yes. Because the tube is so small I have to repurchase every two weeks! But besides that it is an amazing product that cleared my skin

This is not a miracle product. Such a product does not exist. So don't get your hopes up. Also, some people will be allergic to BP. I know that my sister is.
If you are using BP for the first time, I would suggest starting off with a very low percentage and use it only once a day and make sure not to leave it on for very long. Eventually your skin will build up resistance to it.
This product worked for me but it might not work for others.
I had a few deep and very painful pimples coming in on my cheeks so I decided I needed to buy something to help get rid of them.
When I put a thick layer of this over top the pimples, I felt an itchy, tickly feeling -- the kind you get when a wound is healing. I could feel it killing the bacteria! I was amazed. So I left it on over night. When I woke up the next morning, the giant, swollen, painful mass that was on my left cheek had shrunken massively. The other one didn't shrink so much but it wasn't very swollen to begin with. However, it did get rid of the pain from it.
All in all I have not experienced much dryness in the areas I've used it and I am quite satisfied with the results it gave me. :)
