I find this to be very much like Brun. A little more shimmer. It is NOT a shimmery shade but I do see a little bit of shimmer in this. I use it as a liner and use Brun on my lids. Pretty!

I got this in a quad at a CCO last year in Las Vegas. It's too bad it's limited edition because it's my favourite colour to use in my brows. It's matte, not too dark, and very flattering for my skintone. I also use it as a shadow on my eyes (great in the crease, or all over for more dramatic looks), so it's a great multi-tasker. It's not overly unique from what I can tell, but I haven't found a cheaper alternative as of yet. I am assuming MAC probably has a similar permanent shade, so when I start to run out of this, I will do my best to find one.
Five lippies because it was cheap (the quad was $20, so $5 per shadow), isn't dupable at the drugstore, and is a pleasure to work with!

Love this! I have this in the Tempting quad. I use Dark Edge almost daily to create a smokey eye using Vanilla as the base color. Dark Edge is so perfect for me, since it doesn't have any red tones. I also like that it is matte, and goes on super smooth. I love using Earthline e/l with this also.

I got this colour in I think the Tempting quad. I'm not a really big fan of eyeshadow but I use this to line my eyes when I don't feel too lazy for it. This is the darkest brown that I have and because there's no red tones it doesn't look like I'm sick or something. :) I voted that I wouldn't buy this again because I doubt I'd ever line my eyes that many times in my lifetime that I'd need to repurchase it.

Came across Dark Edge in one of the Cult of Cherry Quads. Normally a shade like this would not catch my eye. It looks dupeable, and it doesn't look like there is anything exceptional going on.

Was I ever wrong!!!

Dark Edge is the SINGLE best shade I have ever used to do a soft yet cut crease look. It is dark enough to define without being so dark that it looks harsh, I used it with Next to Nothing on the lid and highlighted with Sahara by NYX - lined with Blacktrack and voila - a look that is classic and edgy too!

I love this shade, as everyone else has mentioned, it's like a dark grey-ish brown...love it for a smoky eye. I just do this all over my lid, blend it out and do Vanilla pigment or any other neutral e/s to highlight, black liner, and theres an easy smoky eye! I took off a lippie because I notice it tends to apply unevenly, and it takes some work to make it even.

Love this color- even though it looks like a basic brown (it doesn't have red undertones) which makes it more neutral and can be used in almost any eye-look.

i got this with my Tempting Cult of Cherry Quad and its a beautiful color. i thought it was like colors i already have but i was sooo wrong and i cant live without this!! i use it in my crease with any of my neutrals and it looks sultry but not over the top and is totally wearable for daytime.. i have it on right now actually... i have this in my crease with Charmer on my whole lid, Woodwinked on the outer lid, Sharp on the inner and Shroom on my brow bone.... im in love <3

i got it in the quad so it wasnt as expensive as buying it individually and im so glad i got this color... its a must for every eyecolor and skin tone

This is my favorite smokey eyeshadow! I wish MAC would make more dark browns similar to this eyeshadow...even darker! I use Dark Edge daily, and it's lovely! It's the perfect dark brown. It's like a dark milky chocolate chocolate to me, but it's very neutral with no red tones, which I love! It's as if they mixed the colors chocolate brown and charcoal gray.and came out with dark edge. It will look awesome on just about anybody!

Wonderful eyeshadow! It's a dark taupe brown with a nice satin finish. It's soft and smooth, applies like a dream. I use this to do smokey eyes and to line my eyes.

Great color for the outer edge and V of eye. Goes with mostly any other color and creates a soft beautiful smokey eye. I'm so glad I picked this one up. Texture is great and staying power is pretty good.

Dark Edge, in my opinion is very similar to Concrete e/s, Dark edge has a tiny bit of shimmer though and is a bit more cool toned.

I love Dark Edge in my crease, I don't find it too harsh or dark at all. Would repurchase :)

Dark Edge is from the N Collection and has a Satin finish which makes it really versatile. It's a dark murky brown and not quite instantly loveable on its own because of its dull colour. Having said that, used in the outer corner of the eye with other eyeshadows it looks fantastic! I combined it with Woodwinked today and the result was amazing. Tomorrow I'm planning on using it with Satin Taupe which should be great too! Go out and get it while it's still available I say.

This eyeshadow looks AMAZING on my brown eyes!! I'm so glad I bought it!! I had been using Urban Decay's e/s in Twice Baked, which is a brownie color but I wanted to find another e/s that was an even darker brown. This definately fits its description; described as a dark dirty brown. I use it as a crease color all the time and it looks so flattering on my dark eyes, no matter what other eyeshadows I may be wearing. I can't believe its limited edition though :( MAC should seriously think about making this a permanent shade!!

I love Dark Edge eyeshadow. This satin eyeshadow has a silky matte finish and is pigmented and blendable. The color is smokey, gray-brown and I love using it to create smokey eyes. It has absolutely no red undertones, which is great for me!

I don't have MAC Brun eyeshadow (also a satin and is a permanent eyeshadow) but I did swatch it and Dark Edge at my MAC counter and to me, their colors look the same (this has also been confirmed by other MUA members and also by MAC live chat, from what I have heard). Dark Edge is also similar to MAC Concrete e/s (also a satin and a permanent eyeshadow) except that Dark Edge has a tad more brown in it.

UPDATE: I take back my earlier statement that this eyeshadow is blendable. For some reason, it is not that easy to blend so I find it difficult to apply it uniformly across my eyelids.

Dark Edge is a dirty chocolate color, this e/s is great for doing smokey eyes. I paired it with Remotely Grey e/s and it looked awesome. Dark Edge is a Satin finish, it's actually pretty easy to blend and it's really pigmented. This is one of my favorite e/s from the N Collection.

This is the only eyeshadow I picked up from the N Color Collection. I was attracted to it because it's a dark, neutral brown but it's a bit lighter than all of the other smoky browns I have (like BB Mahogany, the brown in the Smoked Eyes quad, etc.) so this is smoky but more of a medium-toned brown, so it's perfect for a smoky look for the office or daytime. It's a satin (like a softer, more workable matte) and has a wonderful, soft texture. Highly pigmented too...I will use this often :D
