My current mascara was becoming dry so I reached for my new tube of Eye Magnifier and was looking forward to trying a new mascara. The wand is placed beside the tube of mascara in the package so I twisted off the cap and inserted the wand in to the mascara tube. When I pulled out the wand, the brush was gone. I guess the wiper in the tube was a little too efficient or the brush was loose. I was disappointed, I'm glad this was not an expensive mascara.

Worst. Mascara. Ever. No length, no volume, no definition. Honestly, my lashes look better with nothing.

I actually like this mascara a lot, it doesn't smudge or clump on me. I also have sort of oily lids that sometimes makes rings around my eyes from mascara, but this doesn't do that on me. It basically makes my lashes look longer, so if you're looking for a lot of volume I don't think you should use this mascara (it's for more of a natural look).

This mascara seems a bit heavy. After swiping my lashes with them the curl isn't there anymore and makes my lashes droop. Another thing, I think it smears on me and especially when I do the lower lashes, they make me look raccoon-y. I want to try the Full and Soft one next... forget if it's maybelline or l'oreal. So far, my favorite mascara is l'oreal voluminous. I'm sure that's the case for many. Oh and I couldn't find this rimmel one in waterproof :[
Waterproof = better hold on curls.

This is a very good mascara and the first drugstore mascara that I've used consistently (tried maybelline, l'oreal). There's no foul odor which is surprising as all DS mascaras always have an odd odor to me. Applies smoothly, buildable, nonclumping. I'm almost finished with it and it works even better in its old drier stage -- so it's good from start to finish. Took one lippie off because it does smear if I rub my eyes, otherwise, it's fine and I don't notice the flaking that others have noted.

This did a really nice job of separating my lashes and providing a little bit of length and curl, but no volume. In my opinion it delivered a natural look which I like to wear from time to time. The deal breakers for me from ever repurchasing it was flimsy wand/brush, the flaking, and the smudging. By the end of the day I had more mascara on my face then on my lashes.

This is the only mascara that I have that never smudge on me that isnt WP!!!! The fact that it's not WP and it didnt smudge on me makes me love it. It holds a curl pretty well. It does lengthen and volumize a little but not dramatically even when layered. Great everyday mascara.

I got it for cheap too. Only 4 dollars and it came with a kohl eyeliner.

This is not only my favorite mascara, but my favorite makeup product ... period. My concern is that many consumers mistake this product for the Rimmel Eye Magnifier that is NOT also "Exact Definition". It took me a long time to notice in the packaging the difference in the name, not only in the look. I do not recommend the Eye Magnifier that is not also Exact Definition because it is too clumpy. However, this one is excellent. I've compared it to the waterproof Lancome's Hypnose, but this one is better, and about 1/3 the price! One major criticism/disclaimer: the distributors. I've purchased product that was not fresh, and seemed to have been in a full truckload of cosmetics that were overheated in the truck load, or perhaps the warehouse. The product was defective: smelled rancid and didn't apply correctly and stung my eye. The manufacturer of Rimmel, Cody, was very generous in making the situation right for me, after I had complained to Walgreen's (where I had purchased the item). Most of the time I do not have a problem with the product. (I've experienced this same problem with other cosmetics, especially foundations that have gone off prior to purchase.)

I get tons of compliments even from great cosmetic consultants. One even thought it was one of those mascaras that form those "little tubes" on your lashes (yuck!). The regular (not waterproof) formula of this is easy to apply to get a thick, long, curvy look and it is easy to remove with baby oil. It's staying power is very close to a waterproof formula, but not as drying.

It would be more perfect if the color was more glossy, but overall it is a great mascara. It's a bit dramatic, so after coating the top lashes, I either use a lighter, more defining, waterproof mascara on the bottom lashes, or I use just the tip of the brush making verticle, up and down strokes to a few bottom lashes.

Applying this mascara is fun because it's effect is so dramatic and attractive.

It does a good job thickening and add volume. Throughout the day, the mascara kept flaking off so little black specks were all under my eyes. I've never had that problem before. That's the reason why I wouldn't buy this again. It could have just been my bottle though :(

What I look for in a mascara is one that definitely doesn't clump, one that really separates my eyelashes, one without a thick consitency (these usually leads to clumping) & one that doesn't harden my lashes. So I bought this because it was buy one get one free & this was the highest rated Rimmel Mascara on MUA. I normally used Covergirl Lash Exact & a sample size one from Chanel called 'Exceptionnel de Chanel Intense Volume and Curl Mascara' ; which I love both: the Chanel one you can really keep layering & it will not clump or look too thick & I have been using the CV one forever so something must be working!

Okay on to my review: I did NOT LIKE THIS RIMMEL MASCARA! Why? Because it's super thick when you first apply & is therefore clumpy. My lashes also felt really hard & crispy after applying, yuck! And when I tried to take it off with my cold cream, I really had to scrub at my lashes; me no likey!

This mascara gave me defined, separated, long lashes with no clumping, I like the brush. It is a really wet mascara and stays wet for a long time, but after being open for a bit, it becomes easier to work with.

I liked to use this as a "basecoat" with a volumizing mascara over it.

This mascara was very good the first day. Yet, im just not sure it actually does what it says. I thought it would be a clean definintion type mascara like loreal makes. I have been using that and i tried this as a cheaper option. It does decent, you have to work with it a bit to get it to not clump, but i wish it was more "exact definition". It holds curl well, and lasts moderately.

Its a very good deal.

It's still early days for me with this mascara...most of them start out good but don't finish so well. I really like this mascara. The plastic/silicone brush finds every lash and the product makes your lashes extremely long. No clumps, smudging, or flaking to report. Whatever fibre they use in the product really does seem to lift and curl your lashes making your eyes appear larger. The big bonus is that it's under $10. This definitely gives Lash Exact by Cover Girl some stiff competition!

OK, so I just purchased this mascara five hours ago and I was so excited to try it that I went to the nearest washroom and put it on. If the next month of wearing this mascara is anywhere near as good as today, I will purchase this product again and again. This mascara applies like a dream, not clumping at all and spreading my lashes out evenly. I cannot speak of the volume after only one coat as I was in rush and applied about three coats per eye.
I then proceeded to walk in the sprinkling rain for an hour and run errands. Now that I am home and have checked the mirror, I am thrilled to announce there is no smudging.
I like the length of this mascara gives my lashes, it is not the longest ever but I have not yet found any mascara that satisfies my dream lash length.
So, upon first inspection I give this mascara a huge thumbs up. Because my eyes are so sensitive I end up replacing my mascara between every month and a half to three months. This is my first drugstore mascara in over three years and I am stunned that I prefer this to my Makeup Forever Smoky Lash Mascara. I think I also prefer this to my Lancome Definicils and to Clinique's High Impact Mascara (only because I hate removing this one).
I am going to try to update again in two weeks and then again in a month to give my progress updates.
BTW, I found this at my local Rexall on sale for $3.99 CDN!!

Well I was debating whether to give this a 3 or a 4, I decided on a 3 because perhaps it isn't what most people would be looking for in a mascara. I just got it so supposedly it is in its best moment, we'll see how long the good things last however. I find this mascara gives me super long lashes, I have non existent Asian lashes and this mascara gives me lashes a mile long, certainly not the microscopic Asian lashes look, so you can understand I am really very very very impressed. No volume at all however, absolutely zilch in volume but that doesn't bother me because what I really need is length anyways, so you can actually SEE my lashes at all! This mascara also separates beautifully which I like a lot because I've found that a few really well defined and separated lashes look more lush, natural and beautiful than a large number of clumped together eyelashes. I also tried the method described by another MUAer on here, to apply on top of the lashes as well with a curling motion, when I do that I get really full blown clubbing lashes and I actually even get a bit of a curl (without using an eyelash curler), pretty amazing for stubby Asian lashes. However I think that for everyday it is too much of a hassle to coat the lashes with so many layers on all sides and I am happy with just a couple of quick swipes on the bottom side, but it is nice to know that I can get drama with this same mascara if I want to. A real nice extra plus is that this mascara doesn't irritate my super sensitive baby eyes, I can't use most mascaras because I am allergic to them.

Okay, I find this to be a really good mascara it cost me about $7. I am ususally not a huge fan of plastic bristled mascaras. You just have to know how to apply this one right. Unlike most mascaras I think this one requires a certain technique to look right on me. If you like a natural looking mascara that still makes your lashes look nice, long and black, than this is a great option. But, if you want dramatic and long lashes, this can also be a really nice mascara as well. What I do is apply it first regularly so it looks nice and natural. Then I wait for it to dry, after it's dried, put the brush near your top lashes and turn it like you are curling them. I will usually do this twice on each lash not bothering to let it dry. The mascara wand is small enough to do this but also long enough so you can get all the lashes done.
Pros: can look natural or dramatic, gives very long lashes, doesn't flake, very black, holds curl very well, no clumps
Cons: can be difficult to use, not too thickening, smudges

Maybe I got a bad batch... I must be on the strange side but I was really unimpressed with this mascara. Honestly it makes my lashes look a bit spidery and it clumps up for me as well. It does flake on me, but then again most mascara's flake on me. I like a damatic look and this did not deliver for me. I guess it's back to my lash blast til I stumble upon another drug store miracle, this certainly was not it!
