First off, the colour is gorgeous! one of the prettiest plums ive seen. but it isnt a lipgloss. it says that on the side. it says "lip colour", so it shouldnt be a suprise to people that its not sheer. its unfortunately too dark for me, but still a high quality product that i would definately recommend to people who are looking for a cheap plum lip colour

This is really dark!! Not a gloss at all, which I thought it was, super bold color, more like a lipstick but not greasy, very pigmented, I don't usually use anything this dark, but would be ok for special occassions, just not for me unfortunately

Wow. People are retarded. it's called Plum, why would you think it would be light? The ads themselves touted a chrome like very dramatic effect. This was on sale for 2.50 and I love it more than any other dark lip color i have tried in the past year. It is so killer. it looks incredible against fair skin. I love the finish, it is shiny but not glossy, metallic kind of. It is very easy to apply. It has AMAZING staying power. it serves as a lip stain as it wears off, so the color really doesnt need a lot of maintnence. I think dark lip color is really hot right now, and this is a nice alternative to a black lipstick, which beauty editors have been pushing on us. i love love love.

This stuff is serious. Seriously dark, that is. And do NOT make a mistake, because the color really leaches into your skin! I feel like this cream gloss would have been better had the color choices been more subtle, but this "plum" color goes way behind dark/goth. eeks!

Oh. My. Lord. This stuff is SO incredibly pigmented. I fell in love with the color in the tube, and was hoping for a Black Honey-like effect, with more metallic accents. I bought it (it was on clearance) and tried it in the car. The second it got on my lips, I nearly screamed at how dark and pigmented it was. The color is beautiful, just not for me, lol. The formula is wonderful though, creamy and exactly advertised. It just receives a 3 from me for personal preference regarding the color.

I'm very pale skinned (paler than MAC NW15, I'm an Inquisitive Sphynx in Meow foundation), and I think this color looks fabulous on me, depending on how I wear it. I love that this is a metallic plum color. I use it two different ways. I apply it and wear it when I want the focal point to be on my lips just the way it is. I apply it carefully and then wait a few minutes, and then blot it off to be left with a gorgeous plum stain. Then I'll put an iridescent sheer lip creme over the top of it. The stain will last for hours, even through me drinking water constantly. I don't like the smell, but if you can pick this up when it's BOGO, I defintely think these are winning products from Revlon.

This is much darker than the color appears in the tube - it looked kind of punk on me. The color is very dense, not sheer like a typical gloss at all. I'll try and exchange it for Razzle Dazzle to see if that color looks better on me.

Well someone had to give it a good review! I've got fair skin & dark hair and like the way a dramatic lip color looks every once in a while. (Full disclosure: I also had a Trent Reznor poster in my room all through high school.)
Yes, the color is dark. But, if you want a really deep, metallic red, this certainly fits the bill. I blotted a lot after putting it on and was impressed that the color and shine kept going hours after application. I'd be interested to try another color in the same line, as well.
I think it's a great product, but the color isn't for everyone or for every situation. I think the color would look amazing on a person with a deeper skin tone for everyday, and I still like it for a bold look against lighter skin.

I, too, was tricked into purchasing this little "gloss," which turned out to not be a gloss in the traditional sense. It has LOTS of pigment, is quite dense, not sheer at all. As other have described it, it's definitely more of a liquid lipstick because you get full coverage.
Also, the color looks amazing inside of the tube--I was thinking a real deep, gleaming crimson--- but it actually turned out to be incredibly dark, almost black blood once on my lips. Although, I feel like this shade MIGHT be able to be pulled this off, it is definitely a risky color and not universally flattering.
Aside from color, I did love that there was lots of luster and shine and it makes your lips look lush. The color certainly pops, just not sure if in the right way. I'm probably going to exchange this for Razzle Dazzle since that seems to be a fave.
*Keep in mind, this photo was taken WITH flash. So the color is EVEN DARKER than this in real life.

Yeah, this stuff looks fabulous in the tube, but once you apply it, somehow it gets darker! I mean, Goth Dark. It's hard to thin it out to something more wearable, and the texture just does not complement the color at all. What a bummer! I ADORE this in Razzle Dazzle, but I'm going to have to exchange this one for a lighter shade.

I have to agree that this was amazingly dark - the packaging really fools you. I guess the lighter color clings to the sides and all the black plum part lurks in the center? You CAN achieve almost the same color as the tube, if you blot thoroughly immediately after applying. That strips the deep plum bit and leaves you with a matte-finish metallic burgundy color... and rather dry lips. I wanted to love it, but couldn't. I'm usually stubborn when it comes to lipstick - I did love the consistency of a liquid lipstick because I despise and refuse to wear glosses - so I'm sure I'll keep messing with it. If I come up with anything that doesn't look like I've drooled ancient vampire blood all over myself, I'll amend my review.

This might be the first time a lip product has left me speechless. First things first: To the unsuspecting, innocent shopper, this appears to be a deep reddish-plum liquid lipstick. It's a little on the pricey side ($8 for a low-end lip product at Target is pricey to me), but the color is so pretty that the innocent shopper gives in, hops in the car, smears it on in the dark and motors home. That same shopper goes in her house, looks in the mirror and nearly falls over because the color is SO FREAKING DARK. We're talking almost black. I kept staring at myself because I was so confused. Had I accidentally smeared a Sharpie across my lips? I've got great lips and I am not afraid of color, but this stuff is frighteningly dark. Freakishly and deceptively dark. I will not try any of the other colors in this line because I'm just too afraid of what they will look like.
