I haven't actually purchased this product yet, I've been using sample packets from Sephora. After about two weeks of using this, a dark spot that's been haunting me since Thanksgiving day is finally fading. Thank God!!! I thought I was going to be stuck with that sucker forever. When I run out of packets, I may have to purchase the full size bottle. Now I'm trying to experiment with the bacne marks I have. Hopefully they will be gone by summer, fingers crossed. I love how soft this product leaves my skin and the results came quickly.

This product has some good results (radiant, soft) weighed against a deal breaker (my skin was more "dull colored, darker" than my original skin tone and I'm a fair Asian) so I returned this. I was looking for an additional peel product to help me stretch out/ budget my HG Peel (Natura Bisse's GlycoLine Glyco Extreme Peel ($225 for 1 oz).
The first few times I used this Rx for Brown Skin Peel, I was relieved to find how soft, smooth and glowing my skin was. But I had to face the fact that this left my skin looking a bit "DARK". Not darker but as acid peels burn off the dead skin cells, I am used to looking at a "brighter" radiant soft face after my treatments with the Natura Bisse Peel ($225 for 1 oz), REN's Glycolactic Skin Renewal Peel Mask ($55 for 1.7 oz) and even the Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Acid Peel ($20 for 2 oz). These 3 peels also leave my skin looking like velvet and Rx peel does NOT leave my skin looking like velvet. I also did not notice any fading of age spots, etc. with the Rx Peel. So this product was promptly returned to Sephora. So my HG Peel is still NB's GlycoLine Glyco Extreme Peel (amazing but oh the cost). But our face is our fortune...
I realize this line is specially formulated for "brown skin" of many different nationalities but I had read the reviews that this line was great for fair colored ladies also. However after using this product, I realized I need a "bright" look, not lighter but bright as in how skin glows after a good work-out or a good facial.
I am Korean, 43 years old (facialists/aestheticians guess I am 26 - 33). I have combination skin (dry in winter, slightly oily in summer however very prone to plugged pores and occasional breakouts). I use: Natura Bisse, Perricone MD, Jurlique, Cosmedicine, DHC Olive Oil Cleanser, and MD Forte Cleanser II & III.

I consider this one of my best cosmedic purchases. I who always had clear skin developed adult acne leaving my face with several dark spots. I first noticed this product on HSN and was impressed by the fact that in sold out in minutes. Within in about 2wks after using the product(a clear quick absorbing gel) I had signifigantly reduced the dark spots including my dark under eye circles and an overall brighter and clearer complexion. It is pricey but a worthwhile splurge.

After all the glowing reviews about this, I decided to give it a try. After about a month's use, I saw no difference, no change. Maybe I didn't use it long enough, but I don't know what everyone else is talking about. My spots didn't lighten. It made my skin feel sticky... that's about it. Disappointed and returned it.

UPDATE: I switched to NIA24 Exfoliating Serum, along with their Strengthening Complex and it has made an even bigger impact than this. I still use this on the large pore areas of my face, especially in summer because this is slightly better at shrinking the appearance of pores, I prefer the results of the NIA.
I am a believer. This is the single best purchase I've ever made in terms of skin care (OK Retin-A and SS are in there too, so this is in the top 3). I've had 100% better results using this 6 times than I had using Dermalogica's Chroma White TRx regimen for 16 weeks at 10% of the cost. I have oily but terribly dehydrated skin and struggle with large pores. I use this every other night, rotating with Retin-A. Its a clear gel thats like a thinner version of aloe vera. Spreads easily over face and neck (it says to use a cotton pad, but it wastes so much I just use my fingers). Over the past 6 years I have tried several products to even out my skin, and get rid of the large, dark gray melasma area on my chin/side of my face, and numerous medium brown spots from sun damage (looked like very large freckles), a dark ring around the middle of my neck (oh so attractive), and tons of what I called mottling (series of brown spots on the side of my neck which my derm told me was sun damage). Products tried include lactic and glycolic peels, Chroma White, Alpha Hydrox 12% souffle, Obagi, and on and on. After using this 6 times, the melesma is 100% gone (I'm not kidding), the brown spots on my face 95% gone, neck ring 65% lighter, mottling 80% faded. My skin hasn't been this bright and even in years. My pores appear smaller as well. I tried using this every night but it proved to be too much and caused some real sensitivity and dryness on the sides of my face under my cheeks (I'm normally not sensitive). So I cut back to every other night, and put Abra Therapeutics Recovery Phytoserum over it after its soaked in, and that did the trick. No more sensitivity or dryness. Just soft, glowing, even tone. One of the very few reasonably priced ($38 for 1.7oz) products on the market that does everything it promises.
INGREDIENTS: Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Lactic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate , Glycine Soja (Soybean) Extract, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Extract, MFA Complex (Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Citrus Medica Limonum(Lemon) Extract, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf(Green Tea) Extract), Glycolic Acid Hydroxyethylcelluose, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract.

I purchased this product off of HSN. I did not use it for a couple of months. However, I pulled the product out a couple of weeks ago. I absolutely love it. Like another user, I use it daily and apply it with clean fingers. My skin is brighter and I have not had any breakouts. YaY. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a brighter complexion.

this product is very good! no burning or stinging but i see results! i have dark marks from previous acne and now that i've been using this i clearly see the dark spots lightening. my skin looks brighter and fresh. i think you're not supposed to use it every day. i use it a few times a week and i also learned i shouldn't use it the night before i do a peel. i would easily continue to purchase this as part of my overall regimine to keep my skin clear and even.

What an absolute godsend! I hope that this company sticks around for a long time to come.
I have never been so amazed at the results of a product in my life. Most products take a long while to do their job. I saw instant, immediate results from this product!
I initially received some samples of this from Sephora. I've been on a neverending quest for a product that will safely lighten my melasma. Well, not only did it succeed in doing that (I used it for about two weeks), but my skin was instantly smoother, brighter. I've tried a multitude of chemical exfoliants, and none have performed as well as this.
Don't let the "For Brown Skin" part fool you. Yes, I am Hispanic and I have olive skin, but it's a light olive. Hormones made my skin uneven and splotchy, and this has fixed that. It is also good for skin that has a tendency to be rough and congested, and also for sensitive skin. Most things irritate my skin these days, and this does an adequate job of exfoliating and there are no adverse effects in the process. I've also found that it helps clear blemishes in a snap.
The cost is $38 for about 1.7 oz., I believe. Worth every penny. You only need the slightest amount of this silky serum. Contrary to what the directions say, I feel that saturating a cotton ball with this product is wasteful. I get better coverage and application by using clean fingers (it comes in a convenient pump bottle, by the way).
I have rather dry skin, and I find this serum quite moisturising. I apply this on my face, let it sit for a few minutes, then apply the rest of my products. Makes the skin nice for makeup application, as well.
I'm eager to try out other products from this line. I'm really happy with the results. "Absolute radiance" is correct-- I've used this and that's what I've ended up with!

This product is a glycolic acid serum that helps exfoliate and brighten your skin. After one use I noticed a difference - my skin had a natural glow and looked smoother. I can toss the heavy exfoliating products, this is all I need. When I wash my face, I can feel how much smoother my skin is.
I don't use more than twice per week. At first, I was worried that this product had something in it that would actually lighten your skin tone, but after looking through the ingredients and using for a month, I think through the exfoliation your skin just naturally brightens.
$38 for 1.7oz, this will last for a while!

I received a sample of this at Sephora, and after about 3 uses I could already notice a difference! The stubborn hyperpigmentation (post acne) on my cheeks that I had previously treated with Mama lotion, Glyocolic Peels (30 and 40%) and TCA peels (12,5%) were improving! I was pleasantly surprised that it works much faster than the other products/peels I had used, and itīs much more gentle.
Sometimes I do have to moisturize afterwards, but i think itīs because instead of using it every other day as youīre supposed to, I use it every day. I like seeing results fast!
Overall, this is my new HG skincare product. My hyperpigmentation is getting less every day, and this is also the first product Iīve tried that actually evens out my skinton! (well, besides self tanner hehe).
Oh, and I have to add: Iīm a light skinned caucasian, so even though this line is marketed towards ethnic skintypes, I believe anyone can use it. I donīt think it was absolutely necessary to call the line Rx for brown skin, since a lot of people with different skin colors have hyperpigentation and uneven skintones. If I hadnīt received a samplepack with this stuff included I would have never thought about asking for a sample because well..I donīt have brown skin.
Bottom line: Get a sample if youīre near a Sephora!!!! From most reviews it seems like you either see results very fast, and if you donīt this product is just not for you.

I love this serum, I have kiehls I have Retin-A and I've even tried Tazorac but nothing gives me instant results like the Rx for Brown Skin Exfoliating Serum everyone says the next day how bright and clear my skin looks and how much younger I look. It's so awesome. One thing though I found it's better to apply with fingers then with a cotton ball this way you don't waste any product by having most of it absorbed into the cotton

I don't like how this feels on my skin. It didn't do much and it also clogged up my pores a bit. There are better products on the market.

This product is great (as are all of the Rx for Borown Skin products that I've tried). I use it every night after I wash my face and before I apply the Rx for Brown Skin Bright and Clear Moisturizer. It doesn't take much (2-3 pumps for my face and neck) and it glides on easily. i let it sit for a few minutes to absorb, then I apply my moisturizer. I really think this exfoliating serum and the acne moisturizer are what cleared up my skin the most. Right now, I'm sitting pretty with the clearest skin I've ever had in my entire life; I'm virtually acne free (I have one TINY bump from a small pimple that is slowly vanishing). I will definitely repurchase and will continue to expand my Rx for Brown Skin collection.

This stuff is the shizzle. I use it every other day followed by the Naturally Flawless brightener and my acne scars have REALLY lightened up in a matter of 4-5 weeks. The best thing about this is it's so gentle. Instead of the irritation I'm used to from other products that promote cellular turnover, my skin is left looking so smooth and glowy.
NOTE: I still get occasional breakouts, but the scarring is far less noticable.

I am only giving this a 3 right now because I've only used it for a short time. I have problems with hyperpigmentation and am using this to help with that and to smooth my complexion overall. I like it so far; it doesn't sting/burn nor is it irritating. It's also moisturizing. It has wonderful ingredients in it such as: lactic acid, hyaluronic acid, soy extract, pomegranite extract, glycolic acid...
