This is such a pretty color. I really like this soft rose that's neither too warm, nor too cool. The texture is wonderful. I really like this a lot and highly reccomend this.

Great MLBB colour, rose but warm and clear. Comfortable formula, moist but not sticky and wears long. Brightens your face but in subtle way. This is a great formula and colour when you want a discreet day-time makeup. Packaging is nice too - black square matellic and easy to apply with the bias cut top.

i bought 2 of these (the other one is a golden pink). i dont reach for them much because the formula is a bit dry. when i put it on my lips, theres some drag. the colors are nice, nothing spectacular. italian rose is a shimmery berry on my pigmented asian lips. the golden pink one was much brighter and i reach for that more than this color. will not repurchase.

I had to buy this lipstick after reading the reviews for it here on this website. I have not been disappointed! I have chronically dry lips and this lipstick had been perfect for them! I feel like the quality of my lips has improved since I started wearing this lipstick.

I like the colour - it is a little darker than my natural lip colour but along the same tone. Perfect for work or for other occasions where you want to appear polished rather than made up. It lasts quite well although it is definitely not the longest lasting formula I have ever worn. That said I still ove the formula and would rather have the moisturised lips over long-lasting drying lipsticks!

The finish is lovely. It is not completely matte but not overly glossy. I am looking for a suitable glossy to wear over the top of this for those days when I want a glossy finish.

I've been a bad MUAer by not reviewing this sooner, since it's my HG lipcolor. I absolutely love the color of this -- it's a MLBB color, but unlike other shades like this, it doesn't wash me out. The color is rose with a hint of berry. It's on the cool side but has a kiss of warmth to it. It may look a bit scary in the tube, but the coverage is on the sheer side, which adds to the natural look of it. It can be applied heavily for more color, but I like a light coat. I would say this color suits light to medium tones. It might suit darker tones if applied generously, but I would recommend trying it first.

As to the formula, this is slightly glossy on my lips but it's definitely not a lipgloss. It just gives an attractive sheen. It's not as long-lasting as I would like, but it fades nicely. It's so natural-looking on me that sometimes the only way I can tell if it's all gone is that my lips feel dry. I have bought several tubes of this & will continue to do so, unless I find a similar color that is longer lasting.

For reference, I'm a L'Oreal True Match W3 with fairly pigmented reddish lips.
This lipstick is a tad expensive, but then it is Bobbi Brown. The formula is very creamy, glides on smoothly, and is, shockingly, almost matte. I think this color is extremely flattering on almost anyone, as long as they aren't too fair.
Color: Velvety dusty rose, very strongly pink on me.
Packaging: Sturdy, high quality black tube, but boring and standard.

I really love the long-lasting formula and packaging for this, but unfortunately the shade didn't work for me. I love Rose Petal, but wanted something a bit more dramatic. It looks like a pinky brown shade in the tube, but when I apply, it looks like brownish with orangey/red undertones. I have very pale yellow-toned skin and dark hair, so I thought it would work. Too bad! I was also frustrated to find out the products are significantly more expensive in Canada, sometimes over $10 more per small item. Annoying when I live close to the border!

My perfect pinky-plum mlbb. I top it off with clear gloss or BB kir sugar gloss (which is a pinky gloss close to this shade) if I need some shine.

I have rose/purply pigmented lips and a medium/tan complexion; this adds the right amount of oomph to polish my fotd off. Lasts about 4 hours for me; I reapply after lunch.

I have dry lips too and I love this formula. It's like wearing a rich balm.

I do love these creamy lip colors, they feel so smooth and her color choices are dreamy. I like this color for more professional work days during fall and winter. It leans toward burgundy on me, with some plum shimmer. Very pretty, sophisticated color. I find the packaging to be kind of cheap and not very fun - you don't feel all excited to carry the lippie around for the pretty case, like you might with YSL etc. The product is not too shiny or greasy. It is almost matte if you can believe it, but creamy. I won't likely repurchase mainly because I would probably want to try another color!

This is my go-to/favorite lipstick. The instant I put it on I was in awe, and knew I couldn't leave without it. For some reason it makes my eye pop! It's a nice natural color, very close to the shade of my lips. I don't mean it looks like there's nothing on, it just makes your lips really stand out. I even got a compliment from a male friend.

This looks like Dolce Vita by Nars, and it is a much better version! It is moisturising, not too sheer and has a healthy but not too bright colour. I was looking for a perk me up colour that was not too obvious. This is very nice indeed.

Its kind a terrocota color on me, brownish rose, I dont get much pink from it all. I like blue raspberry better, but this one is more subtle and sophisticated looking. I dont think I'll use up a whole tube, its a hard color against my fair pink NC25 complexion.

This is such a flattering rose color. It is my natural lip color enhanced. The formula is creamy and hydrating. It doesn't deserve five lippies because it needs to be reapplied fairly often.

Bobbi has great colors, Italian Rose included, but this formula does not impress me. "Creamy" equals too greasy, IMO. What's more, there is no stain. I like the fact that these are lighter than a traditional lipstick, but I think this is an inferior product to the Laura Mercier Sheer lipsticks, which also have great colors and a light-glossy formua but are not too greasy and leave a slight stain, so you don't have to re-apply constantly. I do use Paula's Choice SPF 15 lip balm under all lippies, so others may not find this as greasy as I do. This color is more of a red rose than a pink rose; it's a pop of color on my Laura Mercier Warm Ivory complexion.

I find this color a little too brown and warm on me. Not terrible, but not the MLBB I was looking for. I really like the formula so I'll try other colors. I am sure I will find a use for this, but probably more in the fall. For reference, I am somewhat pale, and good foundation matches are BB Warm Ivory and LM Blush Ivory.

Lovely texture, long-lasting creamy color, very flattering rose color.

I would buy this again, but don't think I'll have to for a while. This really is a universally flattering medium rose (not pink, but rose). The thing about this formula is that it is rather forgiving, so you can apply this stuff without a mirror and not look too bad. I like how this particular shade is a nice compromise between a solid pop of color and not an obnoxious or difficult hue to work with. It also softens any look and can balance out a dark eye without giving you an 80s look. Lastly, I happen to be one of those people who like the texture of lips, and you get that with soft shine. Great pick on all counts; definitely recommend.

This is a very pretty MLBB pink shade - not overwhelmingly pink but with a hint of brown that makes it perfectly wearable for warm skin toned ladies. Sheer texture and good staying power. Recommended if any other MLBB shades have made you look "dead" - one coat ...et voila, I look polished!
I am NC20, for reference. Have repurchased already!

I got this as a part of the Artist Palette (LE) in December 2008. So far, its one of my favorites - its subtle but not nude and flattering without being obvious.
