Awesome for any skin age! To prevent sagging and to make skin refined, pores disappear, and the look/feel of glass like skin is awesome! And one of the original products of Merle Norman.

I bought this at the mall just to get rid of pimples and make my skin more healthy looking. I had no idea what I was buying. I got home and used it, and instantly my face was clean and smooth! I tried some on my grandpa and it even removed some of his wrinkles! My mom kept bugging me about why it was pink though. It smelled nasty. This was definitely worth it.

If this product is a play on the word "miracle," I understand why. After my first use, my skin was bright and blemishes were diminished. I use it as a spot treatment for blemishes when they start to appear. I love this product!

I've been using this since i was a teenager (about 30 years ago) and it's fantastic in every way. I started using it as a way to control acne and probably had a total of less than 20 zits from 13 to 24. Now that I'm older I have larger pores and this product works instantly and shows long-term improvement when I do use it regularly - about 1x a week.
This product, in my opinion, is a must try if you're searching for an acne or pore solution.

I really wanted to try this product, due to my large pores and generally oily skin. Being in Australia and Merle Norman not selling their products online, I have been unable to, please take this into account when reading my review. I did want to post though, in response to trixie1803 very helpfully listing the ingredients*. I decided to see if there was a similar product and did some research into the ingredients. Albumen is obviously egg white, which is great, and have been doing eggs white masks, which have been fanastic for tigthening pores, at least temporarily. I figured my results weren't as good as what I had read here, so I decided to see what the other ingredients were and how they might have an effect. Sodium Hydroxide, is caustic soda, which no doubt has an exfoliating effect, but there is no way I would knowingly put this on my skin. Sodium borate is Borax, which is naturally occuring and a great household cleaning product, however it is extremely drying (hence it is great for killing mould). I would have thought Borax would be overdrying for the skin, and could lead to premature ageing. I assume the sodium hydroxide and sodium borate are in very small quantities, as most people seem to love this product. This does explain how the mask would be refining, as borax tends to whiten and caustic soda would remove dead skin cells. However I'm less keen to try this product now I know how it works. I'm going to buy some powdered egg whites today to see if I can avoid cracking an egg very time I want to do an egg white mask, I will review how this goes. Hope this review helps, and sorry if I've put a negative spin on a product which a lot of people love.
Edit:
*These are the ingredients listed by previous reviewer: Water, dextrin, albumen, sodium borate, fragrance, sambucus nigra flower powder, red 28 (CI 45410), diazolidinyl urea, yellow 5 (CI 19140), sodium hydroxide, trisodium edta 120905.
I can't confirm whether these ingredients accurate or not, so apologies if it is not. Dextrin is a thickener, sambucus nigra flower is elder flower (may be worth looking into), diazolidinyl urea is a preservative, trisodium edta is a kind of binder that preserves the consistency of products, very common.

I love this product!! I have huge pores and often get blackheads and the occasional zits. This product really tightens your skin (in a good way). It was an instant change that I noticed. I put the mask on for about 20 minutes, and when I rinsed it off after having only used it once my pores were so much smaller and my blackheads seem to have disappeared with them! I will definitely buy this again.

I bought this product in 2008, and it is going on year 2011 and I still have a fourth a tube left. I may still be relatively young, but I do have hyperpigmentation however small, but a few spots that are darker than my skin nonetheless. I love this product in combination with Bio Oil. For me, I find that it has a face lift effect, without ever having to actually get a face lift! Ha! It also clears my pores, evens my skintone, and clears up spots! What more can you ask for?

This is one of my favorite masks. I use it once a week or so for 20 mins. I have large pores on and around my nose and this mask helps minimize them. It makes my skin feel baby smooth after using. The smell is strong and isn’t too pleasant but I have smelt worst mask then this one. Also the people who noted it was difficult and painful and needed a chisel to remove, this isn’t a peeling mask! You wash your face with warm water to remove the mask (as said in the instuctions) and it involves no pain at all. I will defiantly re-buy once I run out.

20 years ago I had an acne problem and started using Miracol everyday. My skin got worse for the first two weeks. For the first time in my life I stuck to something even when it seemed to be going bad. The people at Merle Norman convinced me to keep using it. The next two weeks after that it started to get better and after a total of 6 weeks my skin looked great for the first time in a long time. There is nothing else like it on the market...it was truly a 'miracle' worker for me. It works great as a spot treatment at night. You have to try it to believe it. Both of my children have used it...my son didn't even mind the pink b/c it worked! Miracol is a deep pore cleanser that is great for any skin type and you will feel the difference in your skin the first time you try it :)

I started using Merle Norman products about a month ago and I cannot even begin to describe how please I am with everything I purchased. This is "old school" Merle Norman favorite! I use it about 3 times weekly. I have oily, acne prone, red, scarred, sensetive skin and this product does not irritate me in any way. It only takes a small amount, so this tube will last you a while. I apply with my fingertips. It dries in minutes. It is like no other mask/peel that I have used before. I started using it for 8-10 minutes and have now built up to 20 minutes. After rinsing, my face feels so smooth and clean. when the product dries on your skin, you can literally feel the pulling adn tugging, drawing out all fo the impurities. I could not be happier with the results!

I love that this creamy formula... it delivers a deep-cleansing benefit to reduce excess oil and remove impurities. My skin appears polished and refined. It is also oil-free for all us oily people out there. I use 3 times a week and i see a huge differnce in my skin!! I got a sample from a friend and i love it!! its $20 depending on the merle you go to!! this is a must have for summer (for me)!!!

Another poster wanted the ingredients so here they are:
Water, dextrin, albumen, sodium borate, fragrance, sambucus nigra flower powder, red 28 (CI 45410), diazolidinyl urea, yellow 5 (CI 19140), sodium hydroxide, trisodium edta 120905.
I love this smelly stuff, and yes, it smells just like Pine Sol but what it does for my skin is amazing. I try and use it about 3 times a week. It makes my skin look so smooth and it just sucks all the junk out of my pores so that when I rinse it off, my pores are barely visible and I have large pores.
I think how it works is the albumen dries and tightens really hard and that pushes everything out of your pores.
I haven't found this to burn for me at all. I leave it on for the full 20 or 25 minutes, wipe off gently to loosen the masking effect and then rinse well with tepid water.
This is a old school Merle Norman product and I always felt that it has been around for a reason after all these years. I love it and will continue to repurchase.

This is a great product! I am a makeup artist and have recommended to many of my clients, as well as being a user myself. This formula also works exceptionally well for acne-prone skin- so do not be afraid to try if you have this skin type. Be aware that when using this product is goes on creamy, but will dry very tight and hard. Do NOT peel this off your face! Use warm water and a face cloth if desired. My clients have said they notice a difference the first time they use it!

This stuff is brutal. This harkens back to a time in skin care when there wasn't the same level of finesse and ingredients that we currently have available today. This stripped my skin and almost bonded to it. Very difficult and painful to remove and in fact, I think damaging. Get a good fruit acid exfolient and then use a good mask, but run, don't walk away from this monster!! (sorry Merle Norman, I still love a lot of your other products)

I had not used this stuff in almost 30 years, however, a few months ago, my skin was all over the place and I had given up on it after trying everything from Olay to La Prairie. I stopped in at my local MN and the SA suggested I try the new Vitamin C Brightening line. After sampling everything, she also suggested that I buy the Miracol, as it is always part of the MN regimine. I cannot begin to describe how much my skin has improved now that I am using Miracol and the other products. Wow!! It has taken at least 10 years off my face.

I have used this product 3 times now and it is making my skin very soft. I know there are people that use it everyday but I find that once a week is good for me, leave on 20 minutes. A lot of people are complaining about the smell but I don't find it that bad. I am trying a whole new routine with my skin for the last couple weeks (mostly Merle Norman products) and will update this post if anything changes but for now I love it!!

I first tried Miracol when I was 19. I had never had any problems with acne, but after moving to Indiana from Georgia, my face started to break out along my cheeks and temples. The family friend I was staying with introduced me to Miracol, and to Merle Norman in general.
This product is great! It really does soften and smooth the skin. Like so many other have stated, it also helps clear up acne.
Several things you should know before trying this product: 1. For a lot of people, it does sting a good bit when you first use it. After a few years of not using it, I tried it again and my face was slightly irritated afterward. I don't usually have sensitive skin, so I don't know how much worse it would be for someone who does.
2. If you have sensitivity to smells, you may not like this product. I personally like the smell but I have to admit that it is rather strong. Others say that they think it smells like Pine-Sol (lol!).
3. If you are acne-prone, your skin will get worse before it gets better. All the sub-surface junk will come to the surface once you start using this, but that just goes to show that the product is doing what it's supposed to.
That being said, the only thing that I really have to say about it that would be a real 'con' is the packaging. The formula itself is fairly runny so when I try to get some out of the tube, sometimes a lot comes gushing out and is wasted. I wish they would put it in a pump or something that better suits the consistency of it.
As far as price goes, I don't find that this is unreasonably priced. It seems that the price does vary based on location. I live in a mid-sized city in Louisiana and I paid $19. You do get a good amount of product for the price and since it's not something you use every day, a tube will last you a decent amount of time.
Also, something else that is rather disturbing is the fact that it's been impossible to find a list of ingredients. The MN website does not list it, and Google searches have been futile. The list is not on the tube itself, and I have long since thrown away the box it came in. I suppose I'll have to go to the MN store in town and find out some more about it.
Other than that, I highly recommend this product based on its performance in my own personal experience with it.
Oh, I use a synthetic foundation brush to apply it. It goes on really well and makes less mess than using your fingers.

An oldie but a goodie! Rediscovered a few months ago. The weird Pine-Sol smell is still there, as is the weird way it looks when dry on my face, but it really seems to help with smoothing and making my skin more receptive to other skincare.

I don't know why, but I love this product also....it has nothing special in it as near as I can tell, but it makes my skin firm and refreshed. It's an old MN standby that is well worth investigating if you love a good face mask.
