I picked this lotion up on a whim and I am happy I did. I put a little too much faith in it and picked it up while it was BOGO1/2 and I am glad that I took advantage of the sale. This lotion is great! It softens my hands and cuticles and makes my hands look smoother and softer to the touch. I apply it everytime I wash my hands along with cuticle cream and my hands/nails look great. I didnt notice any difference in the strength of my nails but thats ok. For the price and the effect it has on my hands, I'd repurchase. Pick this up when you can! However, I do recommend Nivea creme for winter months, as I dont think this may be as moisturizing during the winter months.

CVS Healthy Hands Hand & Nail Care Lotion
While this did nothing to strengthen my nails, this generic hand cream did help in making the tops of my hands seem smoother and clearer.
Why I like this -
1. It's got the Right Stuff (and then some!)
The ingredient listing shows Potassium Lactate, Lactic Acid AND Retinyl Palmitate fairly high up on the list - all 3 are indeed effective topical Alpha Hydroxy acids. I was pleased to see UREA listed as well - that's used in strong foot creams for really dry feet and works so well on hands, too.
2. It works as an unexpectedly-excellent Neck Creme for me - at little cost. [In fact, I use it on neck, hands AND feet.]
3. The creme absorbs very quickly with no 'slippery hands' feeling.
4. At $3.19 for a 3.25 oz/96ml tube, how CAN you lose?
However, it is not a very hydrating hand cream so it may not work well if your hands are extremely dry. Better for summer use and UNDER a more emollient hand cream in winter months.
That's what I do! This cream is much much better than Vaseline's, Eucerin's or St.Ives's version. I keep one in the car and one in my bag. The only thing missing is an SPF but who's complaining at this price?!

EDIT: I'm bumping this up to five lippies. It is just awesome! I have been wearing nail polish more often and the acetone etc is taking a toll on my nails. This helps keep them strong and cuticles looking great! Will continue to buy.
Picked this up on a whim when I had some CVS bucks to spare. My cuticles have been dried up lately from overwashing at work and they have been tearing. The dryness is relieved within minutes! It feels a little greasy on me and I wish it was fragrance free, but you can't beat it for the price and convenient little tube. I hope to find a more natural product eventually, but this works for now! I can't comment on the keratin and AHA aspect since I've only been using it for a week. Will update further down the road.

Dirt cheap, does what is says. I like this packing better than the Vaseline version, because this is a normal tube. The Vaseline bottle is some sort of squat thing that doesn't fit into my make up bag. Both the generic and the real smell identical. The generic also lasted longer for me.
Definitely get the CVS brand.

I love this hand cream! Its really great for a hydrating feeling but its not greasy, which I hate. It really helps my dry torn cuticules too.

A very good lotion for hands after dishwashing, etc. Sinks in fast and while I cannot see any improvement in my cuticles (which were OK anyway), there has been no damage. This is great for maintenance.
The 3.25 OZ tube is great for tossing in your handbag and the price is very good.
