I bought this product for my Mom as part of her Mother's Day gift. I found it for only 4.49 on feebay with free shipping. It was on sale on bbw website for $4 but I would have had to pay $5 shipping. My Mom told me that lately she's had all this pilling with all of her lipsticks and general flaking of her lips. I immediately thought of this product when she told me of her issue because of reading about it on the blog Afrobella. I thought the portability of the brown sugar scrub would be good for her flaky lips and the lipstick pilling. Got it in the mail and I was so excited and wanted to give her part of her Mother's Day stuff early. I always do that. So we checked it out. She fell in love with it right away. She let me try it and I saw what she was talking about. The scrub side I thought was really scratchy, but once I stopped scrubbing it and licked it off like it said to do - my lips felt really soft. Then when I put on the other side, the apple side, it smells like apples but it is pretty subtle. I'd say the scent is more like a Chapstick. Not like blatant apple. I noticed that on me the color was more of a darker reddish color and on my Mom the color looked more pinkish peach. Not sure why... I guess our coloring. It was an interesting effect. The non-scrub is more like a semi-glossy reddish lipstick. I wouldn't call it a lip gloss per se.

I'm usually a big fan of the Liplicious glosses, so I was really hyped when this product was released a few months ago. The dual lipstick/scrub combo seemed so appealing, so I happily shelled out the $12.00 for it. Sadly I was disappointed when I tried it. It honestly reminds me of something you would buy at a dollar store for a 8 year old girl. I mean, the quality is horrendous! It smells nothing like Candy Apples, but instead gives of a scent that would cause you to wretch. The brown sugar scrub on the other end is just as bad, not to mention breaks off and crumbles like the lipstick part does. And whoa! You cannot believe how little product is actually in the tube. The packaging seems nice (and the price now $3 at the BBW SAS), but don't let that sucker you into buying! One word - GIMMICK.

This lip gloss became an instant HG for me! The color is a gorgeous brownish bronze with a hint of red. It reminds me a lot of Revlon's Mulled Cider Lip Shiner. The formula is ultra creamy and just a little bit sticky, which helps it stay on lips longer. The love the sweet scent and taste of this lip gloss as well -- it's very similar to a real candied apple! I bought this lip gloss on sale at B&BW for $3. I'm hoping to stock up before they disappear!
