I finally got my hands on this!! I found this at my local CCO and i fell in love. Finally I have a matte highligher!! I have sooooo many shimmery highlighters and I was gettting tired of using them. The darker shade is also perfect. No shimmer....very natural looking. I'm getting a backup!!

Got this at my nearest CCO and it is the greatest sculpter I've ever used. It accentuates my features just a bit. It creates the softest contour for a NC-25-NC30 asian girl. Love the highlighter also. It has subtle shimmer, which is great for any face products. Just a bit of sheen. If only my CCO isn't so far I would've restocked & get some more backups of these.

Perfect contour color for my NC42 skintone. I really like how easily blendable this sculpt and shape powder is and it's great for everyday use.

I have absolutely no cheekbones and a very oval face so I wanted something to give me some definition. This powder gives a subtle color to my face that doesn't seem to make a huge difference. It enhances my cheekbones slightly but makes my face look dirty. I very much like the highlighter but I would not repurchase just for that. This will be going back to the store.

I wanted to do a review on this but the only thing is I am only reviewing the darker shade of this compact, the Shadester one.I dont know about the Lightsweep because I only have the Shadester, it come by itself, and can only be purchased at the Mac Pro store.Ok this is a very nice contour powder, it gives the right amount of shade to create that cut look on your lower cheeks, using the Mac109 or the Mac165 brush it will do wonders for your face, the chezled look,if that makes any sense, it reminds me of Blunt blush my Mac but a bit lighter and less orangy. Will always use this to create that defined look to your cheeks, contrasting blush and contour color.

Totally not worth it. It does the job but it's not something I will miss.
Thankfully it is limited edition but it's expensive and you can find better contouring to sculpt and better lighter.. I'm really liking the benefit highlighter.. Cant remembr the name right off the bat but its far better than this junk.. So not worth it.. Mac, you disappointed me yet again!

i really got this as an impulse, and i dont really reach for it anymore. i do agree with others that you need to apply a lighthand, or it will look bad. i used a 168 brush from mac. im nc42 and this was okay for my skintone.

Really good for conturing and highlighting. But its sad that its limited edition only :( Mac should make it permenant. The trick is to not apply it heavliy or it will look harsh. A lighthand will make a difference.

I got this a couple months ago, and thought about returning it because after I got it, I realized that it might be too dark on me, when the SA put it on me, I got home at thought it was too much for my skin tone since I am kinda on the fair side. But I never did return it, and finally today I tried it out, and I just love it, I think the SA put it on to heavy, so with a light touch, I was amazed how well it contoured and highlighted, since I had a similar product(Mally Shape & Shimmer), but this blows the other one away. Great for the summer months coming up.

I've been eyeing this product for the longest time! As I wanted something to use to accentuate my cheeks and my nose!!! I've tried different brands and they all come off a bit shimmery. I gave in, though this is not too cheap, this is much better than buying 2 full pans of shadester/lightsweep. Too bad this is only on limited edition, I believe it would be best if MAC could make this line permanent.

I'm using the lightsweep/shadester and it works wonders for asian skin. It DOES contour (using the right angled brush) and blending it correctly :)

I was very curious about these LE sculpt/shape powders so I finally tried this duo out when I went in. I love how thisn product actually makes my face slimmer and contains no shimmer. Previously I was using NARS Casino, but I think now I prefer this!! It will look even better if I get darker. I don't think Accentuate/Sculpt would show on me AT ALL, would definitely not recommend that to anyone above nc30 to be honest. This duo is warm and very complementary to my skintone. In addition, the highlighter part, although not my favorite highlighter (albatross by nars is) is a great warm shimmer shade. Would definitely recommend this to more girls in the nc40-45 range. Nc42ish here, armani lsf8. I would buy a backup but I don't think it's necessary b/c I believe the 'sculpt' side is sold at MAC pro stores.

I was on a hunt for a good contouring palatte; and after reading reviews on many, I decided to try this one. And I am glad I did! It is the perfect set for contouring my face and highlighting areas. I use shadester to contour below my cheekbone, on my jaw line, temples, and eye crease. I use the Lightsweep (which has a soft finish, with a subtle glow, not chalkly or shimmery) above my cheekbone, on my brow bone, and on the top of my nose. Use it with an angled blush brush, like MAC 168, for the cheeks. The texture is smooth and has none of that shimmer stuff that most bronzers/contours have. This set compliments my face and works wonders! I finally have a contoured face!

this actually showed up on my skin. when the lady at the mac coutner tried it on me, it looked really nice and i liked it! it definitely defined my cheekbones and highlighted the areas that needed it. however when i was trying it at home, i could do the cheekbone area but the highlight doesn't seem to show no more. maybe i'm not doing it right but i'm pretty sure i am. i will still buy this product, i might just go back to the mac store and ask an artist to do it again for me and this time i'll watch closely. all in all this product is great! finally, something to define my facial features without the shimmery bronzy look!

I'n on a VLB (very low buy) so I tried to resist this for a while - tried to swap for it, tried to find dupes in my stash, hunted for dupes in the drugstore. Finally, I just plunked down the $21 and grabbed it! It's a black plastic compact with contouring powder (Shadester) and highlighting powder (Lightsweep). No regrets whatsoever - although it's LE, I'm resisting a backup beccause it is so pigmented.
The Stila #24 is a great brush for this product - haven't tried any others.

Shadester is a matte, bronzy-brown. That's right, MATTE BRONZE!!! Leave it to our friends at MAC to get us a matte bronze - I've been searching for a nice one forever. The color reminds me of coffee with milk - definitely warmer than it is cool or neutral. It is very PIGMENTED - I just need one light swipe with the bushy end of my Stila #24 brush and the color actually shows up on my NC45 DDD/GGG skin without being too dark and obvious. As long as I blend blend blend.

Lightsweep is a creamy ivory matte highlighter that doesn't chalk out on me. I use the smaller end of my Stila #24 to dust it on my cheekbones, browbones, nose, etc.

The reason I like this product so much is because it is matte. I can use a shimmery blush over it without OTT results. Plus it's so convenient to have both shades in one travel-friendly copact. I know for the same $$ I could grab two full-sized pans from the MAC pro store and get twice as much product, but I don't NEED twice asmuch product. This is perfect and of course it's LE but I am NOT buying a backup. Even though I really really really want one.

OMG I absolutely ♥ ♥ love this product. When it first came out I didn't even care to look at these, but when I went to MAC for a haul...I asked the MA there, a friend of mine....what product was great for contouring? Well, she took me over to these and she tried Lightsweep/Shadester on me and I was hooked. It contours beautifully and the highlighting powder is amazing, on me it doesn't show up powdery or chalky...it gives me a gorgeous glow. I use this to contour my cheeks, nose..etc...I am a GGG and this shows up perfectly, the darkest one was TOO dark for my skintone. I loved this so much I bought 2 more......yep you read it right, 2 more! I know there are other things I can use to contour, but hey If I love it....why not?? Plus I don't think it's expensive, great price IMO ...Oh and I got brush 138 with this, AMAZINGGGG brush.....OMG this brush is the greatest contouring brush ever!!! Anyways, this is a great product!

This helps me contour a lot, but it doesn't really show up on my skin. Maybe I should have gone for the darkest one or something. Anyways I do see a difference on my face when I contour with this. I love the colors, and the packaging. The packaging is sleek or chic or interesting. Its perfect when I'm on the run and don't want to carry my contouring and highlighting blushes with me in my makeup case. Instead I could just carry this and there's extra room. :) The price is decent. I don't really see anything wrong with the price. I mean you get a lot of product. I wish MAC adds it to their permannt line. The only real problem I've had with this is that when I used my 168 brush and kind of run it side to side, some of the powder gets one the edges or on the sides of the container. But I'd buy this again. This'll probably last me for a long long time. =3

I have always looked for a matte bronzer to contour, very hard to find since most have some shimmer/sparkle. Also bronzer colors are always warm and "sunny" (as a fake tan should be!). i love the matte, deep, almost grayish, "shadowy" color of the contour. i usually dont use highlighter because i have oily skin and i dont like to add more shimmer or glitter to my face. however, the highlight in this compact is the perfect texture: a touch of subtle shimmer making it look natural and easy to blend, but does not add shine. I use it mostly along my cheekbones and jawline.

Ok, I tried to hold off on this product for as long as possible since I am "supposed" to be on a no-buy right now. BUT...reading all the great reviews for the lighter sculpt-n-shape duo ~ Accentuate/ Sculpt, I had to see what the hype was all about. Let me say, I am so glad I did! This product is truly unique and AMAZING!

When this sculpting duo 1st came out, I was at the MAC counter *figures...lol*, I asked my good friend/ MAC MA if these sculpting duos are worth the hype. At that time, she told me they basically are the same as using a darker blush to contour, as she uses Harmony for that purpose as we have the same skintone NC30. I thought, "OK, good...I can save some $$." I left without a 2nd thought about it. Then over a matter of a few weeks, I started to read the xcllnt reviews for this sculpting duo and of course, my curiousity got the best of me. Without swatching the duos in person, I figured the Accentuate/Sculpt duo would be the right one for me,and I added it on my w/l. Needless to say, I have no patience and since these are LE, I didn't want to wait around to swap for it, and went down to my MAC counter. I'm glad I did, as Accentuate/Sculpt was non-exsistent on my NC30 skintone, and Lightsweep/ Shadester was a perfect match.

Since I have never contoured before, I asked my friend to apply it to my cheeks, and it seemed easy enough. This is what she told/showed me using the angled 169 brush...to find the right area to sculpt ( under the cheekbone) there are 2 ways to do it:

1. Take the end of the brush and lay it next to the corner of your mouth and angle it till the other end of the brush is resting on the top part of where your ear attaches to your head...the area the brush is laying is the under part of your cheekbone that you want to use the darker, contouring powder...or
2. Take the brush and lay it flat, sideways on the top part of your cheekbone and slowly roll it down, when you will feel the brush "sink-in" this is the area under your cheekbone you want to contour. It really does work, as I can feel that "dip" in my cheek :)

The next day, I did what the MA said, and I contoured my cheeks, and the powder was very soft, not harsh looking, and I could see a "slimming" difference instanty. I then applied my blush on the apples of my cheeks and upwards, then I topped it all off with the highlighting powder in the duo on top of my cheekbone itself. It wasn't glittery or sparkly, but added a nice sheen to my cheekbones. I also contoured my jawline which also looked nice, and didn't give me a "line of demarcation"...lastly, I blended it all in w/ my 182 brush and was instantly impressed/ happy w/ my results.

To sum up my long review, I am glad I purchased this as it is LE, easy to apply, blends like a dream, makes my round face look slimmer, and now has become a staple in my routine. Get it if you can, the price is reasonable ($21), as will last a long time. I would definitely repurchase if it wasn't LE...

Hi there sorry im in the minority, i brought this on the recommendatin of the MAC assistant, and i must say i wish i didnt! Its expensive and maybe im not using this right, but what is this product? a blush? a powder? do you wear it with Blush? when i apply it its way to light this is the worst item i have brought from MAC. Much prefer my elizabeth arden bronzing duo which is 100 times better.
