Okay, I have a long story for you, and hopefully at the end if you're struggling with mild/moderate acne and seriously oily skin you will TRY this product despite the fact that some people say it's too abbraisive, etc. So, at the beginning of this semester, almost 4 monthes ago, I went to a medicenter doctor to get my usual refill of ortho tri cyclen. I had moved to a different city about 2 years ago, and I still hadn't found a regular GP so I had to see a walk in clinic doc. So anyways, he said, "why don't you take tricyclen lo? It'll do the exact same thing, and you'll be fine if you like ortho tri." Okay, I trusted him and got a years worth. It only took one month for my skin to break out in mild/moderate cystic acne and other random spots on a constant basis. My skin literally has gotten worse and worse, it's now 3 monthes since that day. One day, only 10 days ago, I got super f*cking fed up with my skin, after missing my share of college classes due to embaressment, I sat down and thought about what I was doing when my skin was amazingly clear (I had clear skin my whole life, FYI - and the best it's ever been was the 4 years previous to this ordeal). I thought back to what cleanser I had been using that whole time, and I remembered it was the St. Ives Apricot Scrub w/ 2% SA. I had gorgeous skin. I was complemeted at makeup counters by the reps, and all of a sudden I had cystic acne and was surfing acne websites most of the time. At the same time I broke out with ortho lo, I found a website (acne.org) that said that this scrub was one of the worst things for your skin. So obviously since my skin was so bad from the BCP change, I stopped using it. Like I said before, my skin got progressively worse over the next 3 monthes, and literally 8 days ago, I decided to re-purchase the same scrub that kept me clear for so long... I had to call my Mom today, almost crying, after a 3 month struggle with shitty skin, to tell her that I had literally brought my skin back to its original state in 8 days. If I would have known how much my skin missed this scrub, I would have never stopped it. I am not joking when I say I'm seriously considering purchasing 5 extra tubes next time I'm at superstore. (They're less than $10 AUS). St. Ives Apricot Scrub with Salicylic acid, I love you. 4 lippies for packaging quality because it sucks when you get to the end and have to cut open the tube (I've gone through probably 10+ tubes)
