Review of Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion by sunscreenPPDs
This lotion formed a silicone-y, dry film on my hands (much like a primer) that felt slimy when I first put my hands under water to wash them (after using the bathroom, hours after applying). But my hands felt drier after washing them than before applying the lotion. It wasn't tacky or gross while on (though I could feel its presence in that silicone-y way). Its benefits just didn't last past one handwashing.
In my opinion, this is a sealant rather than delivering any moisture. If your skin is truly dehydrated and not producing enough internal moisture (like because you take a daily allergy medicine), a sealant doesn't deliver any moisture. It just seals existing moisture in. Therefore, this didn't work for me.
