Review of Laura Mercier Mineral Powder SPF 15 by simplicity

Laura Mercier makes my favorite mineral foundation. It gives a very natural finish to my skin (oily, acne-prone, large pores on T-zone), evens out my complexion incredibly well, buffs away my pores & doesn't leave any powdery/chalky/streaky finish like other mineral foundations do. It takes away the shine but it also doesn't make face look totally matte. It reflects the light ever so slightly, not a greasy/metallic shine but rather, a very nice luminous/ethereal glow.

And the coverage compared to other mineral foundations is phenomenal. I love that I can build this product to achieve medium coverage but I can also wear it sheer and it still looks make the skin beautiful.

The lasting power of the foundation itself is excellent and on some days, it lasts even longer than my liquid foundations. I use Laura Mercier Mineral Primer as primer & Laura Mercier Mineral Finishing Powder as finishing powder -or- Silica Powder as both primer & finishing powder on lazy days since I have oily skin. It is by far the best mineral foundation I have used.

I'm NC20 that's closer to NC15 (than to NC25), and Soft Porcelain is my best match. Plus any foundations oxidize ever so slightly on me, so I always leave room for slight oxidation & go for slightly lighter (than slightly darker) shade as it should evens out later.

For NC20 that's closer to NC25 (than to NC15) & NC25-30, then Real Sand is the best option.

My skintone: fair complexion with yellow undertone
