I bought this 3 times and tried to love it, but it's just not happening and finally time to throw in the towel. Here's where the crux is - I love, love, LOVE Lancome's Teint Idole Ultra and Chanel's Vitalumiere, and those tend to run a bit on the thinner side - not quite watery, but close. So why did I even get this and try to make it work? Because are we ever *entirely* satisfied with the things we already have? I believe I can hear a resounding "NO!" from the congregation! Anyway, back to the product - I am terribly, terribly oily, so I thought I'd try this, since it has "matte" in the name; but the older I get, the more I understand the whole "less is more" concept. I'm 43 now, and although I am still grossly oily and have ginormous pores, it's not entirely the best idea to slap a mattifying foundation on your face. This one just looked too dry and almost chalky - that's really the best word I can think of. Whereas the Teint Idole Ultra kind of buffs out and gives a thin veil of luminescence, the Mat Velvet + kind of drags and ends up looking too dry, just not matte. It's, yet again, in my Sephora bag waiting to make its way back to the store, for once and for all (hopefully! LOL).
P.S. Happy Valentine's Day!!!!!
