Review of Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser by lcarrie

I'm not going to lie, I bought this product because it's so hyped up and is considered such a staple for so many people. Well... it does absolutely nothing for me. Actually, that's not true: the only thing it did for me was dry out my skin, cause tiny little bumps on my forehead (a sign of clogged pores, perhaps?), and irritate my eyelid, causing it to be very dried out and flaky. This was a surprising occurrence because I have the opposite of acne prone skin. My skin is thankfully very clear and this is the only product that has ever irritated me so much. Well, I checked out the ingredients and Cetaphil has sodium lauryl sulfate, which is an irritant. I'd rather not wash my face with a detergent. There are also three types of parabens in it. The fact that this product is advertised as gentle and non-irritating is a bold faced lie.

The last reason why this product is a failure is that it is labeled as a cleanser when it doesn't leave my skin feeling clean at all. Just using water gives me the same effect. I want my $10 back!
