Review of Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser by ComplexCorrigan

Good cleanser for me right now. I have very sensitive combination skin that can break out when irritated. Not sure if it's rosacea, but it is pretty difficult to manage if I use the wrong products. This cleanser does not strip or irritate my skin or make it flaky. So it's a winner!

It definitely cleanses off makeup better if you emulsify it in your palms first (on dry hands) and then apply to your face without water. Start dry at first, then add in a bit of water and it will cleanse well. If you have stubborn eyeliner or mascara, pre-cleanse the eye area with a bit of oil (olive, mineral, coconut, whatever's handy and doesn't bother your skin). Walmart also has an Equate version of this cleanser that is a few dollars cheaper and works just as well, I think.

Cleansing with Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser has been shown to be advantageous for people with rosacea as it does not disturb the skin's barrier function: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16706247
