Review of Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24h by bamnramn
So im currently trying a sample of this, due to being intrigued by the product claims, it claims to be 24HR, oil free, non condomegenic & basically just non harmful to skin, which is ideal for me, as i am very oily through the t-zone and quite dry everywhere else, and i do get occasional pimples.
So ive had this product on for about 3 hours, It has a lovely natural/matte finish, however I am getting a bit of shine on my nose and forhead which has definately got me questioning this "24HR" claim. I also noticed if i touch my skin, i wont get "transfer" but it will leave a residue on my fingers.
I applied this product with a damp sponge, which i think is ideal when applying liquid products, and gives even coverage, and pushes the product into the skin, which i feel makes it last a lot longer.
I plan on wearing this foundation for about 18 hours today, as i am going out after work, so i will update at the end of the day.
Ok, So afer 15 hours of wear, id say that although i didnt have high expecations, it held up quite well. I did need to re-apply powder and blot several times throughout the day, and it also DIDNT oxidise! which was really good!
The only con, is that it did go a bit patchy on my nose, and the product settled into some of my larger pores on my nose, however, you couldnt really tell unless you looked up close, i also didnt use primer, and this con could possbily be avoided by that extra step. (i reccomend MAC matte cream)
Overall i would say that it would no way in hell last 24 hour on oily skin types. However it is still a quality product that will give you between 12 - 18 hours of wear depending on how oily you are, If you have dry - normal skin type (as i said, i am dry in all other areas apart from my t-zone), then this foundation holds up beautifully, and you probably wouldnt even need to touch up.
I think i will consider purchasing this foundation, the price is a bit steep ($68 Australian), however due to the ingredient list, its probably as good as its going to get for a long wearing foundation which wont trash your skin.
Hope this was helpful.
