Review of L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Compact Makeup by alison_k

You know when you pass a mirror and do a double-take at yourself because your skin looks amazing? This foundation ensures that this doesn't happen. Instead I recoiled in horror at the patchy, flaky mess of my face and immediately washed off this foundation.

I have tried this out for a week using different application methods, and I have spent so much time trying to apply in a way that made my skin look good. I normally love cream foundations and thought that this one would be perfect. Instead I had to really work this into my skin for at least 15 minutes just to get it looking reasonably good. To make it look less patchy, I had to go over some areas of my face more than once. This foundation is most definitely NOT buildable. Instead it went slightly clumpy and settled into all my fine lines within a minute of application. Trying to smooth this out of the lines just caused the foundation to wipe off my skin.

As other reviewers have noted, this makes dry areas look flaky and didn't cover my dark undereye circles either.

I had to discard the rough sponge that came with the product, and replace with a smoother one, but this only made things slightly better.

There are only 2 good things about this foundation. The color match was great, better than most foundations I have tried and I loved the compact packaging. There would be no reason for me to buy this again.
