Hue, your review is long overdue. This lipstick is it for me. I have a decent-sized collection of lipsticks, which means that I don't often make a huge dent in any particular one - except for Hue. This color is my penultimate "go-to," a no-brainer, the shade I use if every other lippie seems to clash, or just isn't striking my fancy on any given day. It is the lipstick that is always in my purse. It is... my HG. It's also sort of unremarkable, which is probably why it's taken me this long to write a review on it. It doesn't have the allure of a red lipstick, or the mystique of a deep wine - nor does it have the flirtatiousness of a bright coral, or the ferocity of a hot pink. Being a no-brainer, you don't have to *think* about it... and so, you often don't. But that doesn't mean it doesn't, or shouldn't have, a foremost place in your collection. Hue is a lovely, flattering natural color. It is a combination of creamy beige & soft pink, with just a hint of peach added into the mix. The formula is moisturizing and a bit glossy, which makes your lips look instantly fuller & healthier. It doesn't create the dreaded corpse lip, like some nudes are bound to do, and the consistency doesn't leave your mouth looking harsh and overdone. It goes beautifully with neutral eyes, as a soft compliment, as well as with smokey eyes & colorful shadows, as it never overpowers them. Best of all, there's no work involved. No buffing, scrubbing, prepping and priming. Just a bit of lip balm, a swipe of Hue... there's no to-do, just beautiful you!
