Review of Make Up For Ever Face & Body Liquid Make Up by enydonus
The finish on this ranges from dewy to satin depending on how it's set and if it's used on the body (satin) or face (dewier). It's definitely one of the more versatile foundations of my kit. Light to medium coverage. Full coverage mixed with MUFE Full Cover. It photographs well, spreads effortlessly, blends quickly, truly noncomedogenic, hypoallergenic, and doesn't highlight lines, pores, or flakes.
I've been wearing MUFE F&B off and on for the past couple years but the real test of it didn't come until I ran a full marathon in a downpour with this on. It didn't budge. It didn't smear. Most importantly it didn't run into my eyes, not the slightest bit. Waterproof? Hell yeah!
This foundation is especially useful on hot, high humidity days since it just looks like skin in the direct sunlight and doesn't sweat off or separate. On most days I wouldn't wear it tho since the dewy finish makes my face look sweaty compared to the rest of me (my skin is naturally quite matte). I've also found that the less product between your skin and the foundation the better it will perform. Thick primer will make application blotchy and wear off faster (Dr. Brandt, Smashbox, GOSH, etc.). It spreads best over thin primer (MUFE HD) or a thin layer of moisturizer. It adheres to bare skin very well tho using it without moisturizer can make your skin dry out over time.
My skin is extremely sensitive but this has always left my skin in better condition than before. On mature skin, it blurs lines slightly and never looks cakey (which is difficult to do).
I own F&B in 38 (PPP), 18 (dark olive tan with no red), and 2 (light with pink undertone). Blending these key shades suits people from the whitest skin to the deepest medium of any undertone. There are also great non-ashy options for WOC. Personally, my coloring is closest to MAC NW20 (C1 + N2 in their Face and Body) in the summer, and to create my shade I mix 5 pumps 38 with 1 pump of 18 for 2 coats on my face, down the neck, and on the chest. Flawless, truly airbrushed finish without the effort.
Application on others: dense, synthetic flat(ish) top brush like the #55 airbrush from Sephora or Sigmax brushes from Sigma.
Application on self: fingers blend it in quickly :)
