Review of Tarte Park Avenue Princess by mezzamy

I think my search for a bronzer is over. Yes, I think I have found my ultimate, glowy, non-glittery, non-orange, non-pore-clogging bronzer. And it's called Park Avenue Princess...
Tarte Park Avenue Princess comes in a golden bronze, faux croc leather, square compact which is sturdy, adorable, and softly snaps shut due to magnets inside the package. There are two thin, gold chains which are draped across the front - can't say I know why they're there because you can't really hold the compact by them. It's decoration that is cute, but doesnt need to be there. There is also a lovely square mirror embedded into the leather on the inside of the compact.
Whilst the packaging is adorable, the real gold is inside. Park Avenue Princess (PAP as I'll know call it, conjuring up all things gynecological) is a light to medium, bronzed gold. Yes, I'm going to say that it is a bronzed gold rather than a golden bronze, because this product IMO is more gold toned but with a hint of bronze.
Upon opening PAP (minds out of the gutter, please), you immediately notice the lack of orange tones in this product. I remember when I first received PAP (this PAP thing really isnt working for me is it), I detected almost a hint of fawn somewhere. Now, having had it for a while, it looks more like a bronzed gold but the point is - this product certainly does not have orange tones and you can tell this just by looking at it.
The powder itself is buttery smooth and the gold shimmer is so fine that it really isnt a shimmer at all. I'd instead call it a gold pearl, and on the skin the finish is so smooth that it can be bordering on metallic sometimes. Yes, that's a bit of a drawback with PAP! Probably the only drawback with this product is that it is so smooth, that building up the colour intensity means building up on a gold metallic effect. But anywho, on with the rest of the review.
I'd say my skin is light to medium with warm but neutral yellow tones, around an NC30 although I feel like im getting progressively paler during the winter months. On my skin, PAP imparts a soft, glowy, light bronzed gold. It warms up my skin without being all that noticeable and without screaming the colour bronze. The shade is rather light - not too light for my skin, but I think people with skintones any deeper will have difficulty using this as a bronzer. Whilst I have not personally tried Nars Laguna, I have heard that the depth of colour between the two is very similar, but PAP is a tince more gold and there is NO orange what so ever.
I have not experienced any breakouts from this product and it wears well during the day, even it hot, sweaty and humid conditions.
Overall, PAP is an absolutely fabulous product which imparts a warm, pearled bronzed gold shade onto the skin. There are no glitter specs and whilst the finish can be metallic if too much product is applied, it looks very natural on the skin and I have no issues wearing it to work (a gym) or at university (where I do Sport & Exercise Science). I would recommend this to everyone, however I feel that anyone deeper than a 'medium' skintone will have difficulty using this as a bronzer because it is more of a light gold tone rather than a true bronze.
I will certainly buy this again, and whilst I havent even made a dip in the product yet, I am already planning multiple back-ups
