Review of LUSH Angels on Bare Skin by KeLLsTar
I received a sample of this product to try out, so my "price" & "packaging quality" ratings are based on what I've seen at the store. My impressions are after using it for about a week and a half.
I loved using AOBS. It took me a couple of goes to get used to the smell, but I quite liked it in the end. It's smells like herbs & lavender. I would rub a pea sized amount of the cleanser between wet hands to form a wet paste & then rub it over my entire face (avoiding the eye area) before rinsing it off with a little water.
I loved the way my skin felt after using AOBS, it felt clean, smooth & a little tight (in a good way). It exfoliated very well & my little sample hardly has a dent in it, meaning that a full sized container (I believe the minimum you can buy in Australia is 100g) would last ages. I've heard AOBS has a short expiry date (the sample didn't indicate this, I guess the main tub would have) so keep this in mind if purchasing.
My skin seemed to like it at first. I have rosacea, and the redness seemed to go after using this cleanser for a couple of days. I thought I'd found my holy grail cleanser/exfoliator! However my happiness was short lived, as one day I noticed a new broken blood vessel under my skin. I thought that perhaps I had been using AOBS too much, so I stopped using it for a couple of days & tried again, just using it every few days. Unfortunately another vessel appeared so, sadly, I won't be using it anymore. My skin likes it to a point, but the almonds/exfoliant must irritate it to the point of bursting vessels.
I also got a sample of 9 To 5 at the same time, which is a smooth cleanser, it doesn't exfoliate or seem as special as AOBS but is much gentler on my skin.
So, if you have rosacea, I would stay away from this one. :(
